Chapter 11

The Slater Family is the royalty of the Bug Type Aura Users, and the family members are well-known rangers in the world. Surch is one of the famous rangers, with his help, a lot of Pokemon are safe and poachers are arrested.

"Leave those Pokemon alone." Surch is on a mission with both he and his comrades surrounding a poacher with Marowak in the cages.

"And what if I won't? What can you rangers do? Tyranitar! Rock Tomb!"

"Don't let them get away!" Surch yells as everyone uses their Capture Stylers to summon Pokemon for help and attack the Tyranitar.

After an hour, the poacher is arrested by Officer Jenny, and Surch is called back to the headquarters. He is summoned to the office, where his father: Kellyn Slater, is waiting.

"Dad, why do you call me here? Is it another mission?" Surch asks.

Kellyn frowns and says, "Surch. I'm sorry to say this, but check out this article."

Surch looks at the article and finds that it is the news of Ash being an Aura User. Kellyn says, "The governments are taking action, all the rangers here are not safe once they come to us and reveal our identity."

"What should do?" Surch asks with panic. "Are we going to abandon this place to find a new spot? I mean, nobody is suspecting us to be Aura Users, right?"

Kellyn says, "I know Ash Ketchum very well, I noticed both he and Lillie were Aura Users, there is also a man who is traveling with them, but Ash told me he has never suspected him for almost four years. The was four years ago. Seeing how he was exposed in 8 years, we shouldn't take any more risks and we have to leave."

"But where are we going? If we're leaving, where can we go so that the government won't try to kill us or harm us?" Surch asks with slight anger.

"And that's why a person has come to help us out." Kellyn then stands up and brings Surch to the first floor, on the couch, Insey is the one sitting there.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, princess." Kellyn says.

Insey stands up and says, "Don't worry, fortunately, nobody has come to harm this place yet. You must be Surch Slater, one of the best Pokemon Rangers in the world. My name is Insey Ketchum, Princess of Sevestar."

"A princess? Sevestar?" Surch is confused, Insey says, "Sevestar is a paradise for Aura Users, but not all aura users are good, there are also bad ones, and that's why we will need all the rangers to relocate to our region. Considering how many Aura Users you have taken in."

Kellyn says, "Thank you for your assistance, but how are you going to teleport the whole HQ to the Sevestar Region? Considering we are in Almia."

Insey says, "Maybe I should have mentioned that I am one of the Grand Guardians. I might not be as skilled as my brother, but I can call a few Legendaries to help out."

Just then, they notice that the whole building is surrounded by a golden hoop and then they are now in another place. Insey says, "That's Hoopa's Hyperspace Hole. Don't worry, we're in Sevestar Region for sure."

As they walk outside, Ash and Lillie are already waiting for them as Ash says, "Kellyn, it's nice to see you again."

"Same here, Ash, Lillie." Kellyn smiles.

"And this must be your son Surch, right? To think he is doing quite a good job in the rangers." Lillie says. "My name is Lillie, and I am from the Aether Family, one of the Ice Type Aura family."

Ash says, "And I think you already know my name. You see, the Slate Family is actually one of the royal Bug Type Aura Families in this world."

"Is that true, Dad?" Surch asks, and Kellyn sighs, "It's true. Which is also why the Ketchum family has been able to find us here. And since you're already a grown man, it is time for you to take my position as a representative of the Bug Type Aura Users."

"Me? Representative?" Surch gasps in shock. "But I...all my life I have been doing my duty as a Pokemon Ranger..."

"Don't worry." Lillie says. "As the Ice Type Representative, I am sure you can do it just fine."

Surch thinks for a second before nodding, "Okay...I'll not let you down, Dad."

Chloe has been wondering why she is now sitting with Ash and Lillie inside a cafe, with a cup of latte and a piece of honey cake in front of her. Ash says, "Go on, you should try the Honey Cakes here, it is one of the best."

Chloe sighs and asks, "Why are you doing this to me? You could've killed me like the others you killed back in Wyndon...but why are you treating me not like a prisoner but some sort of guest?"

Ash says, "We've been working together for a year, and I can tell how you really hate the constant wars with the Aura Users. You treat them all the same, you feel pity for them, and you also feel bad for what you have to do that is already established in your minds."

Chloe sighs as she finally takes a bite of the cake, she says, "It really is delicious."

"I know, right?" Lillie smiles.

"Well, this Honey Cake is actually my second favorite dessert of all time." Ash says.

"What about the first?" Lillie asks.

"Your macrons, of course." Ash smirks, causing Lillie to blush. However, Insey comes in her maid outfit and says, "Always flirting with your wife, I see, brother."

"B-brother?" Chloe is confused as she looks at Insey and then Ash. "You have siblings, Ash?"

"Yeah, this is my youngest sister, Insey." Ash says. "Insey is also a Bug Type Gym Leader, despite her being a Grand Guardian like me."

"You can't blame Surch for being a Pokemon Ranger, a type of trainer who isn't going to use Poke Balls but Capture Stylers." Lillie says.

Insey says, "We have five more siblings, even though Tobias is the one who will be inheriting the throne, Ash is actually the fully active Grand Aura User who can use the Rumbling."

"Rumbling..." Chloe shivers and says, "So it is true that you are going to activate the Rumbling at any moment?"

"Maybe I will, maybe I won't. It depends on how time is changing." Ash says while turning to Insey, "Insey, shouldn't you be doing your job to bake more cakes?"

Insey says, "And leaving the conversation to you guys? Don't worry, my subordinates are baking them for me, I'm just having a relaxing time."

"I see. So Chloe, I want to ask, how is your father doing?" Ash asks. "Is his lab still functioning?"

Chloe shakes her head and says, "Dad's Lab is already closed because you were a part of it. Goh was really mad at this and that's why he wants to kill you."

"You should be grateful that you and your family weren't killed by the government because of how I was staying with you." Ash says in a dark tone. "Professor Kukui and Professor Burnet, even Lei, they weren't that lucky compared to yours."

Chloe frowns, she has heard of the news before, and to think they would kill a one-year-old kid is making her sick. Then she realizes something. "Oh no! My Dad, my Mom! Parker! What if they find out that I was here in the Sevestar Region? What if they are killed because we help the aura users?"

Ash says, "Relax, Chloe. You don't need to worry about them. The last year that Lillie and I were traveling around the world for something that we are going to find, we managed to get to your lab and as Aura Users, we formed a protective shield so that nobody except for you guys would know where it is located."

"You did it to us?" Chloe asks.

Insey says, "Brother can be nice if you want to be, but he can also be rude if you want to be."

Chloe shivers a little since this is not the Ash that she knows a lot of years ago, this is the real Ash. She asks, "Are you sure everyone here in this region won't try to kill me if I just walk around as if nothing happened here?"

Lillie asks, "What are you talking about? Who said you can just walk around on your own? We will have to watch over you after all. Aura Users are just like you guys, there are good and there are bad. If you were killed by the bad ones, then it will be bad for us as well."

Chloe frowns and then she asks, "What about Goh? Did you execute him already?"

"Oh, Goh is still staying at that Dark dungeon, probably thinking about how to escape and how to find you." Ash says, "To tell you the truth, Chloe, even though we worked together as partners, I didn't like him at all."

This causes Chloe to look at him with confusion. Ash says, "Believe me, you have no idea how many times I had to clean the mess he made, and the fact that he keeps capturing Pokemon without trying to train them but to fulfill the Pokedex. It didn't help when he manages to kill Alice, one of my Elite Four members..."

Insey says, "If you don't know, Lillie is going to fulfill her role recently. And I'm sure that as a princess, she will be doing a great job."

Chloe then says, "You said that Dawn and Serena were also a part of you, how did you manage to split into 3?"

Lillie says, "It is not a good story to talk about, considering it is also my first kill..."

"First kill?" Chloe asks. "How old were you back then?"

"Seven. But Ash has his first kill when he was four." Lillie says, causing Chloe to shiver.

"We don't like killing, but this is how the world works. In this cruel but beautiful world, fight or die, win and live, that's what I believe." Ash says.

"When I have to do my first kill, I couldn't do it. Because my first victim was trying to strangle Ash to death. Just then, I remembered. I had seen this same thing over and over all my life… we live in a cruel world after all." Lillie says.

"Wow..." Chloe says. "I don't think I have the courage to actually kill someone...even though I have been seeing countless of death people and the blood might have sprayed on me..."

"That's why you're a good person, and it will be bad if you were just killed because of it." Lillie says.

Chloe then remembers Leon with them and she asks, "And what about Leon? What were you planning to do with him?"

"Leon was giving us an idea of how to end all the conflict without the need of the Rumbling, after all, he is one of the good people I've seen so far who is willing to sacrifice his own blood to help devils like us."

"Yeah..." Chloe frowns as she is not sure which is right, which is wrong, who is the enemy, and who is the comrade.
