Chapter 12

(Ash Revealing his secret to Dawn)

When Ash is traveling in the Sinnoh Region, Pikachu is stolen by Team Rocket, but saved by Lillie in Dawn's disguise. That night, Ash and Dawn are alone as they wander into the forest.

Ash says, "Dawn, I want to ask you a question...are you perhaps an Aura User?"

This causes Dawn to tense up, and she says, "What are you talking about? I mean...aura users are devils, I-"

"You don't need to worry, the difference between humans and aura guardians is the fact that humans can't determine who is the aura users until they show their powers. I am also an aura user, so you don't need to worry about me."

Dawn sighs in relief and says, "Yes, I am an Aura User, I am from the Surudoi family."

Ash is confused and he asks, "Surudoi family? But your aura is not a Poison Type Aura..."

Dawn frowns and says, "I know...I was adopted, I have Ice Type aura, and you can guess why I was adopted."

Realization hits Ash as he frowns, "I'm sorry... so you are also one of the victims, only that you were adopted into the Poison Type Royal Family..."

Dawn knows that it isn't true, her parents are still there, but it will be confusing if she tells Ash how he has split into 3 selves. And her Dawn self is really staying with the Surudoi Family while the other two were with her real parents.

"I know that you're going to travel with us, but we have a human traveling with us. That's why we have to be careful so that our secrets won't be exposed." Ash says.

"If our secrets are exposed, we will be as good as dead by their hands, right?" Dawn says. "No need to worry, we'll be fine."

(Ash and Dawn's reunion in Undella Town)

That night, Ash and Dawn are staying at Cynthia's mansion, and they are now sitting at the beach. Ash asks, "About your journeys in Johto, did anyone find out about your identity?"

Dawn shakes her head and says, "Nobody finds out, thanks to your teachings of disguising myself. I guess that Iris and Cilan didn't know you're an Aura User, right?"

"No." Ash says. "It's a good thing we're in Cynthia's mansion, she will be able to help us if things go wrong. Considering she is also from a royal family like us."

Dawn nods and she says, "Hey, Ash...after traveling with you for a year, I have been thinking about this a lot... did we meet before? I mean, you seem really familiar, but I am not sure when we've met..."

Ash says, "I've been thinking the same thing since last year. For some reason, my memory was a bit jogged when I was little."

Like Dawn, Ash is also not going to tell her that he has been split into 3 selves because of the confusion, and splitting into 3 means that before the splitting, his memories are also split into 3, and maybe one of his other selves has seen her before?

"Maybe it is just my imagination." Dawn says, but I'm glad that we met again in Unova. Let's do our best in the Pokemon World Tournament Junior Cup."

"You're right." Dawn says.

(Ash and N's reunion on the boat to Aspertia City)

After saving Pikachu from Team Rocket and Alomomola healing the poison from Amoonguss' Poison Powder, N and Ash are now talking alone. Ash asks, "So how is Team Plasma?"

"They are a lost cause." N replies. "Ghetsis is trying to control Reshiram, and sadly, Dr. Colress Akuroma is helping him."

Ash frowns, and he says, "Colress... he's Lillie's uncle, right? I can't believe he would try to do something evil...But how did you get away from them?"

"Anthea and Concordia helped me." N says with a slight smile. "They are Psychic Aura Users that have been staying by my side during these years when Mom and Dad send me to Unova with Team Plasma."

"I'm glad that you have some friends who can help you out." Ash says. "And if you want to stop Team Plasma, I'll help as well."

(The Day after Team Plasma's arrest)

When Iris and Cilan are asked by Looker for some questions, N, Anthea, and Concordia bring Ash to their secret hideout again. N has decided to return to Ash as he is just one of his selves, and once he absorbs N, he is now facing two of his friends.

"So you're going to leave us forever..." Anthea says.

"I still can't believe you and Ash were the same person, but then again, you have the same hearts even though your beliefs are different." Concordia says.

"I'm glad that you understand." Ash says. "And thank you for taking care of me when I was in Team Plasma. Even though I told you that not all humans are cruel to Pokemon, they are actually cruel to us Aura Users."

"We know, we have been seeing the terrors, and that's why we are skeptical." Anthea says.

"Don't worry, as a Grand User, I promise I will find a way to make everyone live in harmony." Ash says.

Concordia says, "Just stay safe on your journeys and be careful."

Ash nods as he quickly leaves before Iris and Cilan notice his disappearance.

(The night when Serena meets Ash)

Clemont is taking Bonnie to rest, leaving Ash and Serena alone. Noticing nobody is listening, Ash says, "Serena, I'm sorry, I lied and said that I forgot about you, but I remember you back at Professor Oak's Summer Camp."

"You did?" Serena asks, "But why? Was it because Clemont and Bonnie, even Alexa are nearby?"

"You should know that if they knew we are Aura Users, then it is doom for us. I've been lucky that 5 years, nobody recognizes me as an Aura User." Ash says.

"I see..." Serena says with slight concern. "But are you sure it is fine to travel with Clemont and Bonnie? I think that Clemont might be a smart person and he might be able to see through the disguise..."

"I know it is a risk, but I'm a Grand Aura User, and we're good at concealing our abilities." Ash smirks.

"I see." Serena says.

"You know, I notice that your Aura Typing is also Ice Type, but yet you choose a Fire Type like Fennekin." Ash says.

"I thought Fennekin is cute, and besides, having a Fire Type will make me less suspicious." Serena replies.

"Funny that I've been traveling with another Ice Type Aura User back in Sinnoh, but then again, just because of the same type doesn't mean you should know each other." Ash says.

"I guess you're right. But you don't mind if another Ice Type User like me travels with you, right?" Serena asks.

"I don't mind, in fact, I'm glad to travel with a childhood friend." Ash says, causing Serena to blush.

(Ash and Alain in the finals)

Ash is now in the resting room with Alain, and he says, "This battle is really pointless, I mean, I'm basically fighting myself."

Alain says, "Quite ironic if you ask me. But I'm surprised that nobody in your group find out that you're an Aura User."

"Let's say I'm good at hiding, you didn't get to find out as well." Ash says. "Though last time, I was quite upset that I passed out with Greninja in the end. And after that, I got to face my aunt and also got passed out as well."

"Sorry to hear that. But you can use your Bond Transformation well, Charizard and I are not going to hold back as well." Alain says.

(Ash and Lillie after getting Snowy's egg)

Ash is now inside Lillie's room as he notices the pictures on the table. Ash says, "Wait, Lillie...this picture..."

Lillie looks at the picture and it is a picture of Ash and Lillie, along with their mothers. Lillie gasps and says, "Wait, Ash...you're the one in this picture?"

"That's my mother, there's no mistake." Ash says, and then Lillie suddenly hugs Ash with tears in her eyes. "I missed you...ever since you saved me from those sex traffickers..."

Ash widens his eyes as he remembers how he stormed into a house and kill two people, and when the third one is about to kill him, he told Lillie to fight and Lillie got her first kill.

"I think I remember, but we've never met after that, what happened to you?" Ash asks. "And how come you can't touch Pokemon?"

"I don't remember what happened..." Lillie frowns. "All I remembered back at that time is that I killed a person and my aura awakened."

"I see..." Ash says, "By the way, where is your brother? I remember that we used to play with one another when we were little."

"My brother is somewhere else, I don't know where he is." Lillie sighs.

"I see...anyway, how about we check out Snowy?" Ash asks, and Lillie nods.

(Kukui and Burnet know the truth)

After their wedding day, Ash decides to reveal his secret to Kukui and Burnet, now that they have become a family, he decides not to give them any trouble. He plucks his courage and tells Kukui and Burnet everything.

"I see, so you say you are an Aura User." Kukui says.

"Yeah, and since I've revealed my secret, I promise I will leave and not give you trouble." Ash says.

"What are you talking about?" Burnet asks. "What's wrong with being an Aura User?"

Ash is confused, "But didn't the government tell you guys that we are devils who will kill humanity?"

Kukui says, "That's true, but tell me, Ash. Do you really wish that we kill you or you kill us?"

"Of course not." Ash says. "But if I was found out, I would've given you a lot of trouble."

"That might be true, but we don't regret having you in this family because you are also special to us." Kukui says. "Not everyone believes the lies of the government, I find it interesting for Aura Users' powers."

Burnet says, "Considering that I've been working with the Aether Foundation, they are also a bunch of Aura Users there, but thanks to them, I have learned a lot of things about them. And I'm also growing to like them."

"Really?" Ash is surprised, and he thanks them by giving them a hug.

Once they get to the basement, Ash decides to reveal himself to Kukui and Burnet. "You see, aura users are separated into 19 groups, and I'm in a group known as the Grand Aura Guardians. They are the strongest of all 18 groups and have the ability to use a special technique called the Rumbling."

"I have heard about it, it is basically a summoning of all the Legendary and Mythical Pokemon, but doing so will also doom the world." Kukui says.

"Yeah, but I can't do that, since the only way to activate it is by seeing every 905 Pokemon in the world. And I am still new to Alola." Ash says. "I am also a royal blood from the Aura User's paradise: The Sevestar Region."

"So basically you're a prince." Kukui says, "As long as you don't try to kill us or vice versa, we're glad to have you here."

"Same." Ash gives a small smile, and he knows that he makes the right choice to trust Kukui and Burnet, during his stay in the Alola Region, never once they try to harm him.
