The New Jedi Order
Chapter 2: A Holiday in Naboo Part 2
The Following Morning…
Jobal woke up to eat breakfast with her brothers; Kento and Arren.
Jobal wore a a pale blue dress over a white dress shirt, white pantyhose and black Mary Jane shoes.
Kento was a seven-year-old boy with dark blonde hair, tan skin and lapis blue eyes. He wore a black top with a long-sleeved white shirt underneath, black trousers and silver boots.
Arren was a three-year-old boy with dark blue hair that was a bit spiky and a little braid behind his back, deep brown eyes and fair skin. He wore a grey long-sleeved shirt, a pair of dark trousers with suspenders and brown shoes.
Kento ate panna cakes with ettel nuts while Jobal ate her ones served with bantha butter and carbosyrup.
Arren drank a cup of bantha blue milk, enjoying its warm and sweet taste.
"Your breakfast is delicious, Great-Aunt Sola."Kento remarked before taking another bite from his panna cakes.
"Why thank you, Kento."Sola responded. "You three make sure to behave while you are playing outside. Your mother needs a lot rest and don't want any of you to get into trouble."
"Yes, Great-Aunt Sola."Kento, Jobal and Arren answered in unison.
After they finished eating their breakfast, Kento and Arren went outside to play together while Jobal stayed inside to talk to Sola.
"Great-Aunt Sola?"Jobal spoke up.
"Yes, Jobal?"Sola asked.
"I was wondering."Jobal said as she looked down a bit. "Is there an attic in the house that happen to have items that belonged to the family?"
"Of course, Jobal."Sola answered. "The attic is just above the hallway. I'll take you there."
Jobal smiled. "Thank you."
Sola led Jobal to the hallway before taking out a stick that had a hanger chip on it.
She then lifted it up to open the door that caused a long ladder to unbend and come down that lead to an entrance to the attic.
"This is where all the belongings of our family members are placed, Jobal."Sola explained. "The area is a bit dusty, but I'm sure you'll be able to find what you are looking for."
Jobal gives Sola a hug.
"Thank you, Great-Aunt Jobal."Jobal thanked.
Outside...
Ezra, Kento and Arren were pretending to duel together using wooden swords.
Lisa sat down on a chair watching them with a warm smile on her face while next to her was a table that contained a tray that contained a cup of blue honeycup tea and a small bowl filled with chocolate covered camby berries.
The blonde-haired woman took a sip of from her beverage, enjoying the tea's piquant sweetness.
She then placed a camby berry in her mouth as Ferus walked forward.
"Glad you have an appetite, Lisa. You must be strong for what lies ahead."Ferus commented as he sat on the chair at the other side of the table. "Padmé used to like to eat sweets too, but her doctor droids would not let her eat them. It made her so unhappy. I just wish I had given her all the sweets she wanted to enjoy."
Lisa smiled and offered Ferus her bowl of chocolate covered camby berries for him to enjoy as well.
"The past can't never be changed, but it can define our present and shape our future, Uncle Ferus."Lisa complemented.
"I know."Ferus responded and then changed the subject. "Have you chosen a name for the baby?"
Lisa stroked her swollen stomach.
"Well, I only chosen one name for the baby if it is a girl."Lisa exclaimed. "Hanneli."
Ferus smiled. "A lovely name."
Jobal looked through the items inside the attic carefully, so that she won't end up breaking anything.
There were portraits, toys, books, small furnitures and various other things that were dusty or covered in a white cloth.
The five year old girl walked over to one of the chest nearby and opened it, only for some dust to gush out.
"Achoo!"Jobal sneezed and rubbed her nose. "Ugh. It's best if they fix the place up. Or at least do some dusting..."
Jobal looked inside the chest and picked up a dress that appeared to be a wedding gown.
It was a beautiful and intricate wedding gown made of lace and beads with a lace veil. It was white, with intricate, off-white scrollery done in ribbon throughout. The sleeves reached to the elbows and was hemmed with scalloped lace. The arms were decorated with scrollery. The headpiece was made of lace, with a band decorated with swirl scrollery. The headdress hung down and pearls studded the entire wedding gown.
Jobal touched the wedding gown with her hands, feeling its lovely silky touch.
"What a beautiful gown."Jobal remarked with a bright smile. "I hope I get to wear it on my own wedding day."
Jobal then placed the wedding gown back inside the chest to look at the other items inside it.
Inside the chest there was a silver coloured flute, a green book, a jewel box, a few white flowers that were dried out and a few dresses that were stylish yet tinged with dust.
Jobal picked up the green book and saw it had a yellow coloured title which said 'Flute Lessons' on it.
"Flute Lessons?"Jobal read and opened a few pages of the book, only to become surprised. "Whoa! This is her handwriting! I have to show to mum!"
Jobal began making her way down the ladder with the book to come out of the attic.
However, the five year old girl tripped, but Darred caught her in his arms before she could hit the floor.
"Remember that you always have to hold a ladder with both hands so that you won't get evolved in an accident in the future."Darred exclaimed.
Jobal smiled nervously as Darred placed her down.
"I understand, Great-Uncle Darred."Jobal replied. "I'll make sure to remember that."
Darred closed the door to the attic as Jobal headed outside to show Lisa the green book she found in the attic.
"Mummy! Mummy! Look!"Jobal giggled joyfully. "I found a special book in the attic!"
Jobal hands Lisa the green book and her mother's eyes widen when she opened it.
There were highlight labels in a couple of music notes to highlight the tones to balance the melodies perfectly.
Ferus became surprised at the book since he recognised it straight away.
"I know that book."Ferus commented. "It is the one that Padme used to practice to play the flute."
"Jobal. This book has your grandmother's signature."Lisa whispered. "It belonged to my mother."
Tears of joy began to develop in Lisa's dark brown eyes as she smiled at the book that belonged to her mother.
"Please don't cry, mum."Jobal said with a worried expression.
Lisa gives Jobal a kiss on the forehead.
"Thank you, Jobal."Lisa thanked gratefully as she dried away her tears. "I'll tell you this. After I have given birth to your new baby sibling, I'm going to try and have time to practice on playing the flute like my mother did."
Later that Day…
Ezra, Lisa, Kento, Jobal, Arren, Ferus, Sola and Darred went to have a picnic together near Varykino Villa.
The sun was high in the sky and while there were distant, fluffy white clouds on the horizon, the sky above their heads was a deep untroubled blue.
Lisa wore a dress that started pale yellow at her neck and moved through shades of pink and orange until at the hem at her ankles, where it reached lilac. The dress was gathered up at the waist with clasps made of tassels and pearl. This was then draped over her arms, where it was hemmed with a wide ribbon. The dress was held up by five layered pieces of metal resembling shells, with the top one reaching part way around her neck, tied off with a piece of ribbon. Similar pieces of metal adorned her upper arms. When wearing this, her dark blonde hair resembled a spiralled shell, held in place by headbands inset by pearls.
The family ate delicious snacks and meals such as yobshrimp noodle salad, five-blossom bread and crystal mushroom soup.
Ezra, Lisa, Kento, Arren, Ferus, Sola and Darred laughed lightly when Jobal's mouth got covered by pink frosting when she took a bite from her slice of Zoochberry Surprise cake.
When the picnic was done, Kento, Jobal and Arren were playing in the meadow, running and shouting and tossing a red ball from one to another.
Ezra and Lisa then joined their three children to walk together in the lake when the sun was setting down in the horizon.
Ferus, Sola and Darred stood together watching their niece and her family with proud expressions.
Everything was so far peaceful, but soon the heroes that have defeated the Empire and saved the galaxy will find themselves against new threats before they even know...
