It's been years since aliens departed their lives and Liz, Maria, and Kyle have moved on and settled into their mostly drama-free lives. But the past has a tendency to come back around when we least expect it. They won't be able to escape what's coming, but maybe they don't want to.

Post Departure, Ava returns to Roswell to help Liz harness her growing powers. Tess's betrayal has irrevocably changed the lives of the Roswell teens - relationships will end and begin, loyalties will shift, and new paths will be forged. Eventual Polar.

So, I wish I knew what the writers would have written for the characters in the future, but I don't so I made it up. And skipped a big chunk. Set in 2008. Frilly, girly, crap.

A remastered version of 'Who died and made you king.' Michael kicked Maria out of her Jetta but she never got a chance to called max or Liz to pick her up. Instead the FBI finds Maria and drags her off to the white room.

This story is based off of the episode A Roswell Christmas Carol, with emphasis on the whumpy goodness of it all. The scene with Max in the hospital was much too short for my liking, so this is my continuation of that story.
