"Ugh… has everything's finally stopped moving?" Wendy groaned.
"Yeah, I think so." Ryos squeaked out through his moaning.
The preteens found themselves curled up on the floor of the dimly lit prison, one on either side of the bars. The two of them had been alone there ever since Wendy had been thrown in the cell and had little knowledge of the fighting outside. This included things such as the building they were in walking around and shifting into a giant robot.
They were thus unprepared for the bout of motion sickness that overcame the two of them as the room shifted about into its new arrangement.
"I'm sorry, I should have used Troia on you…" Wendy said, pulling herself up from the cold stone floor.
"What's that?" Ryos asked, slowly standing to his feet.
"It's one of my healing spells that help with motion sickness. It's hard to use though when I can't see straight myself, I suppose." Wendy sighed, looking dejectedly into the corner of her cell. "I never used to have such problems, but now I'm almost as bad as Natsu."
"So, you guys get it too, huh?" Ryos muttered.
"What was that?"
"Nothing!" he quickly said, looking away.
There was another silence between the two, glancing at each other before looking away again. This cycle had repeated itself for a couple hours now. Ryos would attempt to strike a conversation with Wendy, only for it to be ground to a halt. Whether due to the building shaking their heads off, Ryos cutting himself off, or the inherent difficulties with having small talk with someone on the other end of a cell.
Ryos sighed deeply. 'This is so boring. I wish Gajeel was here…'
As if to answer his prayer, the door to the prison was kicked open with a bang by one of Gajeel's boots. Ryos nearly leapt out of his skin at the sudden noise, shielding his eyes from the light pouring in from the hallway.
"Gajeel you're back-!?" Ryos started, before noticing the two women in her arms. One of them, the white haired one, was absolutely covered in scars. "What did you do?!"
"Quit whining brat, I found her like this." Gajeel said, giving the boy a glare.
"Lisanna! Lucy!" Wendy shouted, leaning against the bars.
"Open the cell. We've got some more guests for you to keep entertained." Gajeel growled. Ryos could see a couple bruises on his face and arms.
"Are you okay?" Ryos asked as he fumbled with the big iron keyring around his waist. He eventually opened the cell Wendy was in with a loud creak, and Gajeel set his two captives roughly inside.
"Blondie had a bunch of bodyguards this time. Lily and I beat their asses still, of course." Gajeel boasted as she shut the cell door closed.
"But why did you take the other girl back as well?" Ryos asked, looking back at Lisanna worriedly.
"Jose told me that she helped the Heartphilia girl escape last time. Figured we should take her ourselves to prevent a little repeat event."
"And where's Lily?"
Gajeel threw his arms up in annoyance. "I don't fucking know. He pissed off the moment he dropped me off here. Why does it matter?" He turned back to Ryos. "Now, I've heard that Salamander is running around the base currently, so I'm going to finally get a real fight with him. Just keep an eye on these three until Jose comes down for them, got it?"
"Y-Yes sir!" Ryos quickly replied, standing up at attention for his idol. Gajeel just nodded and walked back out the way he came, closing the door behind him and shrouding the dungeon back in near darkness.
As soon as the door was closed, Wendy rushed over to her friends and began healing them. Ryos knew that he wasn't supposed to let her use magic, but he couldn't find it in his heart to ask her to stop helping her friends. After a few moments, the two sleeping girls began to stir.
"Ah, Jellal you jerk, what was that for…" Lucy moaned as she sat up, looking around. She quickly took note of her surroundings and began to panic. "Wait, where are we? What happened? This isn't the safehouse!"
"That Gajeel guy kidnapped us before you even woke up." Lisanna explained as she also got up. "I'm so sorry. I was so exhausted from earlier that he took me out in a single punch."
"Are you two okay? What is going on out there?" Wendy asked as she continued to heal them.
"The Phantom Lord Headquarters walked all the way to Magnolia. They were going to blow us up with a giant cannon, but I figure that hasn't happened considering everyone appears to still be fighting." Lisanna explained.
"You're probably right." Ryos admitted. He flinched as all three girls looked to him, but eventually continued. "The building shaking was probably it transforming into the Phantom , and Jose wouldn't have resorted to that unless you guys were really pushing us."
Wendy tilted her head. "Phantom ?"
Ryos pulled his hood down over his face. "Our HQ can turn into a giant robot. Don't ask me why…"
"It doesn't matter what happened out there. All that matters is getting you two out of here." Lisanna said to her fellow captives, ignoring their young warden. "I'm not letting them take you away Lucy. And Wendy, you need to get to Porlyusica's and heal the Master."
"What happened to Master Makarov?" Wendy asked in sudden worry.
"That Aria guy used some ability that scattered all the Master's magic out of his body and into the wind. We need him to get better if we are going to stop Jose!"
"He ripped the magic out of him?!" Wendy shouted. "But something like that could kill you, especially at his age!"
Ryos kept his hood up, looking down at the floor in shame. He had known that Aria was a bit of a sadist, but he had no idea that his magic could kill someone so easily. 'Is that why we took the girl? So that they wouldn't be able to heal their Master, even if it meant him possibly dying?'
Wendy ran up to the bars and began pleading with him. "Please, you have to let me go! It could be a matter of life and death!"
"I…" Ryos looked up at Wendy and felt himself conflicted. He'd always been drawn to Gajeel since he met him, like he was the big brother he never had. But for some reason he'd been getting that same feeling of familiarity with Wendy, and he didn't know what to do about it. As he stared into her eyes, he felt his will weakening. He quickly glanced down, trying to focus on his job. "Maybe… I don't know-"
Ryos felt his sense's flicker, and he suddenly lunged down at the shadow of Wendy through the bars. His hand melted into it, and when he pulled back an entire man came with it. He pushed the man into the wall opposite the cell.
"Who are you?" Ryos growled, trying his best Gajeel impression.
"Simon?! How are you here?" Lisanna gasped in surprise.
"After we lost, I decided to make the most of it and took a ride in your shadow. Guess I need to work on my shadow melding a bit." The broad man chuckled, glancing down at the boy holding him against the wall. "Though I wasn't expecting another Darkness Magic user. Quite the strength for someone your size."
"Then maybe you'll give up easily?" Ryos said, trying to intimidate the man with a glare.
Simon just grinned, completely unfazed by the child. "Unfortunately, I have a few more tricks up my sleeve. Darkness Magic is more than just hiding in shadows. Perfect Darkness!"
Simon put his hands together, and in a burst of black, the visions of everyone became complete darkness.
"Ah, I can't see anything!" Lucy shouted.
"Oh no, whatever will I do…" Lisanna said dryly.
"Sorry, it's hard to single out who this spell effects." Simon said, followed by the sound of a scuffle. A ruffling of clothes and the thud of someone hitting the floor echoed in the artificial darkness.
"Hey, stop that!" Ryos shouted as he could be heard tumbling around, trying to wrestle against Simon. There was the sound of metal hitting metal, and a moment later the creaking of a door. As the blinding magic began to fade, Ryos found he was lying on the floor and Simon was leaning against the open doorframe of the dungeon. The man gave a wink before running out of the room. "Get back here!"
As Ryos ran out of the room, all three girls pressed against the bars and looked at the open door. Lucy was the first to speak about the recent display. "So much for a rescue attempt. How are we supposed to get out while our rescuer runs away?"
Wendy looked down at the floor in annoyance but noticed that an iron keyring sitting just outside the bars. "Huh? When did this get here?" Reaching down, she picked up the key.
"I thought I heard something metal when everything was dark. He must have swiped it off the kid in the confusion. Not bad Simon." Lisanna said. "Let's get out of here before that kid realizes he's been tricked."
With a bit of effort, the key entered the lock and the barred door swung open with a creak. They ran out of the dungeon and into a properly lit hallway. Moving to a window further down, the three looked out to see the Fairy Tail guild building in the distance below them. To the side, they could see that the building they were in had indeed turned into a giant robot and appeared to be drawing a magic circle as large as itself in the air with its massive arms.
"So, what's the plan?" Lisanna asked the others after they finished staring. "Wendy may have recharged me a bit, but I doubt I have enough strength to fly back to shore yet, especially with a passenger or two."
Lucy checked her pockets. "And that punk took my keys, so that's out. It's the second time I've lost them today as well. Aquarius will never let me here the end of it…"
Wendy got on her tiptoes and leaned out the window. "What if we swim back?"
Lisanna sighed. "Using Animal Soul to swim would almost certainly use less energy than flying, but the main problem is getting down there."
The others unfortunately had to agree with here. They were currently up near the left shoulder. There would be many stories of the unknown between them and the feet of the robot. But the silence between them made it clear that none of them had a better idea.
"Alright then, lets stick together and be as quiet as possible. The less we have to fight the better." Lisanna said as the three began to run down the hall, checking each corner for any enemies. "As long as we don't run around screaming like an idiot, we should be able to avoid a fight."
"HEY, ELEMENT FOUR BASTARDS! STOP HIDING AND FIGHT ME ALREADY!"
Natsu shouted out randomly as he ran through the halls like an idiot. Knowing that he needed to beat the Element Four to stop the guild from being destroyed, he had been running around and shouting for a while now to get their attention. Eventually he had to stop for a moment and catch his breath. Looking around, he got a funny look on his face.
"Have I been here before?" Natsu questioned. He tried to think back to the path he used to get there as he took another deep breath. 'Taking out that Totomaru guy took a lot more out of me then I thought. I could really go for some fire right now…'
During his momentary pause, he felt his ears flick at a familiar sound. A little rattle of metal was caught in the distance by his enhanced sense of hearing. It repeated every couple of seconds, like a metronome.
'That sounds a lot like…!' Natsu finally put a picture to the sound and began running towards the source. Finding a closed door ahead of him, he shoved it open with a shoulder tackle and began looking around the room he entered. The sound was coming from in here, he could tell.
There was another rattle, and Natsu finally turned his head to the corner of what appeared to be a dining hall to find the source. The gold and silver keys of Lucy's Celestial Spirits glimmered with each toss, landing in the hands of Gajeel Redfox. The man let out a chuckle from the bench he was one once he was spotted.
"What's that look for, Salamander?" the Iron Dragon Slayer asked giddily, continuing to toss the keys.
"Why do you have those?" Natsu asked back in an unusual calmness. His eyes, however, were dancing like a raging fire.
Gajeel twirled the keys around his finger now. "Oh, these? I just found them lying around. I'm sure whoever had them won't be needing them anymore though."
Natsu suddenly shot forward in a burst of flames. "Give those back! Lucy isn't going anywhere!" He swung a flaming fist right into his opponent's stomach but felt it hit the man with a clang. "What?!"
As the flames subsided, he found that Gajeel's body was covered entirely in a layer of iron. The man looked completely unfazed by his attack. With a smirk, Gajeel put a hand on Natsu's stomach, and an iron pillar shot out, launching him to the other side of the room. Natsu found himself lying in a pile of broken benches and tables.
"Come on, why do you even bother worrying about that blondie leaving you anyways. Don't you have that other chick? The white-haired one?" Gajeel asked mockingly as he got off the bench and walked towards.
Natsu stilled as he was recovering. "What…"
The iron skinned Gajeel continued walking towards Natsu with a stupid grin on his face, eventually leaning over him. "Not that I blame you for having a preference. That one seems to keep sticking their nose where it doesn't belong. Probably why she looks like she's been thrown through a-"
Whatever words Gajeel had been about to say were cut off as Natsu's flaming forehead bashed into his nose. He stumbled back in shock. Reaching a hand to his nose, he noticed some blood on it, despite his defenses. "What the hell?"
"Did you lay a hand on Lisanna?!"
Gajeel looked back up just in time to avoid a right hook to his face.
"What did you do to Lucy?!"
Gajeel tripped backwards as a foot swiped him mid-step.
"Where the hell is Wendy?!"
Gajeel let out a gasp as a flaming foot slammed into his chest, somehow hitting with more force than the previous punch.
"Why did hurt Gramps?!"
Gajeel put up his hands right as a flaming scratch came down, swiping through his Iron Skin like it wasn't even there.
"How dare you hurt my family!"
Gajeel remembered the one piece of advice Jose had given him about Fairy Tail as a flaming fist flew towards his face.
'The only thing more dangerous than an expert that knows their limit is an idiot who doesn't.'
When Erza had began her assault on the Phantom Lord Headquarters, she was confident she could take on anyone she might run into within (besides Jose himself). She knew of the elemental gimmick of their S-Class Mages, and her wide variety of weapons and armor meant she could easily counter any of them, Gajeel included. Dragon Slayers may be tough, but she sparred with one on a regular basis. She could easily take on any single mage within Phantom Lord by herself, and they knew it.
Which is why they currently weren't giving her that luxury.
"Zetsu!"
"Roche Concerto!"
Erza struck out at with her Air Cutters as pockets of wind around her began to warp from Aria's Airspace Magic. She tried to hit as many as she could but found it hard to focus on where his invisible attacks were being formed once Sol began to launch rocks at her with his Earth Magic.
She tried to dodge as many of the combined attacks as she could, but eventually a rock hit its mark, causing her to stall for barely a second. That was enough for her to lose focus though, and as she tried to dodge the oncoming solid projectiles, she was unable to react in time to hit one of Aria's Zetsu forming, and she was knocked back by an explosive blast of air.
'Fine! If dodging is out of the question…'
Erza activated her Requip magic, switching out her normal armor for the sturdiest set she had. If she couldn't dodge both attacks, she'll just negate the damage done by one.
"Adamantine Armor!"
"Hoho! I see you think you can tank my attacks. Let's test your little theory." Sol laughed, before throwing his hands forward. "Sable Dance!"
A sudden sandstorm flew out of his hands towards Erza, but she simply ignored the attack, barely tickling such heavy defenses. She began to stomp towards the blurred form of Aria through the sand, swinging at any of the Zetsu he formed easily. The sandstorm made seeing where the irregular wind bent easily, allowing Erza to not even need her strange new sense to counter them.
"Platre Sonata!"
Erza turned at the voice of Sol to see a giant fist of stone form in the sandstorm, which launched towards her at a great speed. But Erza had confidence in her armor, simply planting her feet down and crossing her arm. The attack collided with her armor, producing so much dust and debris that she couldn't see anything but dirt for a moment.
Then the sand veil finally lowered, and Erza raised her swords only to find herself completely alone. "Where-?!"
The floor underneath her crumbled unnaturally, interrupting her as she now found herself up to her knees in the ground. She tried to lift her legs, but the earth itself seemed to be holding her in a vice. A face then formed out of the floor to reveal a grinning Sol. "Thank you for making yourself such a stationary target! Now Aria, suck her dry!"
"No!" Erza realized, trying to find where her other opponent had gone. She could feel the wind change behind her, and she barely had time to tilt her head back to see Aria standing over her. He brought his hands up in a certain position, and a downright evil smile spread across his face.
"Metsu!"
A monstrous pressure began to pull on Erza, and suddenly every inch of her body screamed in pain. Erza let out a cry but found herself unable to move now that she was trapped in the spell. As the magic energy within her had began to leave her body, that sixth sense of hers kicked in again. But instead of seeing the magic in the air, she could now see every little bit of Ethernano as it was ripped from her veins. She could feel an alien force invading her core, pulling out the magic within her like a stream.
'So, this is why the technique was so dangerous to Master. The more magic within, the longer it's ripped out of you.' She thought absently as she somehow observed herself at a mystifyingly specific level. As she felt the force become even stronger, she figured there was nothing to lose with fighting back against it. Reaching into her core again, she was surprised to find that she could do more than simply see her own magic. Almost experimentally, she attempted to pull back the magic leaving her body. The force between her and Aria cancelled out, and the magic leaving her body halted.
"W-What?! That's impossible?!" Aria exclaimed in surprise as he felt his spell falter momentarily. Erza took that moment of surprise to begin pulling her magic back into herself. "How dare you! You will not usurp one of my best spells!"
At his words, Aria's spell began to pull with a newfound strength. It took all of Erza's focus just to slow the effect to a crawl. She could feel the conflict inside herself was building up a pressure of magic.
"You fool! If you don't stop fighting my spell, you'll end up permanently damaging your ability to use magic! I'll win either way!" Aria shouted. But when Erza barely flinched, he tilted his head down to his partner. "Sol, a little help?!"
Sol wordlessly summoned two fists of earth from underneath Erza, which proceeded to slam into her stomach. Despite the armor, she was unable to properly brace for the attack in her position, and she felt Aria begin to overpower her with each of Sol's strikes. Aria settled back into his sadistic self once he realized that his victory was immanent.
"Take heart knowing that you are the opponent that we feared the most, Fairy Princess. NOW DIE!"
But right as Aria was about to break her, the glass pane window behind him smashed into a thousand pieces as a figure holding a spear forward shot through it at alarming speed. He had no choice but to cancel the Metsu at the last minute to avoid being skewered by the newcomer. As he flew back, the knightly figure pulled their spear out of the ground and twirled it above them. The spearhead glowed and changed form, and when they slammed it down at Erza's feet, there was a great explosion.
"Gah?!" Sol shouted in surprise, disappearing into the floor and retreating back to alongside Aria.
Erza let out a gasp as she tried to breath again. With Metsu no longer affecting her, and the ground around her feet blown to pieces, she carefully stepped back up onto the floor proper. She gave a once over of her surprise savior, a knight covered in cloak and armor. They held their spear aloft at the two members of Phantom Lord, and the tip changed shape again into a four-pronged black blade.
"Who are you?" Erza asked cautiously, not quite trusting the new arrival.
"You can call me Sieglinde." a woman's voice responded beneath the visor. Erza couldn't help but feel the voice was familiar. "Mystogan sent me to retrieve Wendy."
Erza couldn't help but look shocked at the woman's statement. Mystogan was getting involved now? But he didn't come himself? "Wait a minute, I think Laxus mentioned you the other day."
She could here a sigh through the helmet. "Look, do you know where Wendy is or not. You're her sister, right?"
"That doesn't make us psychic… No, I don't know where she is, but these two assuredly do." Gesturing to Aria and Sol. "The big one can make invisible attacks in the air and suck the magic out of you. The lanky one can manipulate and move through the ground."
Sieglinde looked over at the two mages silently. "Alright then. Let's defeat them and get the answers out of them already."
Sol laughed at the knight's cockiness. "That's quite the statement, but unless you're stronger than the Fairy Princess, then I'm afraid you have little chance!"
Sieglinde let out a bark of laughter at Sol's boast. Erza raised an eyebrow as the masked woman laughed unreasonably sincerely for some reason. "I can assure you, I'm no princess, just a passing knight."
Aria finally had enough of the woman's presence and held his hands up. "Zetsu!"
Erza quickly Requipped into lighter armor, slashing at the invisible attacks around Sieglinde before they finished forming. "I'm able to see his attacks!" she quickly explained.
"Got it. You can deal with him then." Sieglinde replied coolly.
"Roche Concerto!" Sol shouted next, throwing a volley of stones at them. Sieglinde's spear changed again into a blue winged form, and she thrust it forward.
"Mel Force!"
At Sieglinde's words, a great wave of wind shot out of the spear, blowing all the stones harmlessly to the side. "And I suppose I can handle this one."
The two glanced at each other, nodded, and wordlessly launched themselves towards the two elemental mages. Erza swung as fast as she could, hitting all the invisible strikes between her and Aria. Sieglinde's spear kept changing forms, blowing up or blowing away any of Sol's attacks.
The two proceeded step by step, and the Phantom Lord mages fell back in kind, until they reached the end of the hallway. Eventually an opening presented itself, and Sieglinde's lance changed into a new form.
"Silfarion!"
At those words, Sieglinde flew past the remaining defenses in a single burst of speed towards Sol. "You're first!" she shouted as she thrust the spear at him. Instead of dodging though, he let the spear go right through him. "What?!"
"So sorry, but I knew you would take advantage of such an opening." Sol's voice said from below the earth as the features of the man she had stabbed faded, revealing a stone replica. Sieglinde tried to remove her spear, unaware of Aria moving in behind her to use the same magic draining attack used on Erza.
"Look out!" Erza shouted, trying to close the distance that Sieglinde had left between them. But she wouldn't be able to make it in time, and she could see the man strike the same pose as before, manic glee on his face.
"Metsu!"
"…"
Sieglinde tilted her helmeted head back after a few seconds of nothing happening. She paused in her attempt to remove her spear. "Was… I supposed to feel something?" She turned back and finally ripped her spear out of the stone replica, and it glowed and split into two spears, one blue and one red. "Blue Crimson!"
With a spear in each hand, she slashed both across the chest of the flabbergasted Aria, spawning a trail of ice and fire along their paths. Taking advantage of the moment, Erza finally reached Aria and did a similar cross slash across his back. Aria's blindfold tumbled off in the attack, and the man looked like he had seen a ghost.
"That's impossible… Not even a single drop. Are you even human?" he muttered, staring at Sieglinde in a daze.
"More than you, at least." Sieglinde declared as her spear fused back into the winged form. "Mel Force."
Erza stepped out of the way just in time to avoid Aria's large body flying across the hall and landing in an unconscious heap. With one opponent dealt with, they both looked over at Sol, who had re-emerged from the ground a fair distance from them in the chaos. The man's cocky look was completely gone though, a new look of fear having overtaken his face. She used her Requip to put away the air-cutters and summon two regular swords, pointing one at Sol. "I suggest you surrender now and tell us where Wendy is."
Sol's face twitched in anger. "D-Don't get cocky! I'm still an S-Class Mage of Phantom Lord!" With a sweep of his arms, copies of the man like from earlier began to fill the room. "Now die!"
As the swarm of Sol's began to converge around them, Erza Requipped into her Heaven's Wheel Armor as Sieglinde jumped up into the air with a burst from the jetpack on her back. Summoning dozens of swords, she spun them around herself. "Circle Sword!"
The swords circling her flew out in a growing halo at the command. Each one that hit a clone smashed it to pieces but was also knocked to the floor. Unfortunately for Sol though, Erza had far more blades than he had clones. In only a single move, the room was filled with dull swords and the shattered remnants of statues bearing his likeness. Sol himself could be seen still ducking down from the attack.
"Got you!" Sieglinde shouted, flying down at the man as her spear transformed.
"EEEEIIIH!" The man shrieked, launching a last-ditch volley of rocks at the approaching knight. She merely powered through them, tanking the hits on her armor before raising a red glowing spearhead up. "Explosion!"
The spear swung down, and Sol was launched away in an explosion originating from the spearhead. He hit the ground with a thud, completely knocked out from the blow. There was a silence in the room for a few seconds as Sieglinde and Erza both processed that they had finally won.
"Damn it. I needed one of them awake for questioning." Sieglinde cursed.
Erza shook her head at the comment. "It was more important to prevent them from stopping us. With these two out of the picture, we should be able to search the rest of this fortress easily for my-"
"Sister!"
Erza turned to see Wendy standing at the doorway into the hall. She wasn't alone either, with Lucy and Lisanna standing close behind her. Erza could hardly believe her own eyes, even as her sister ran over and tackled her into a hug.
"I'm so glad your okay! I've heard about everything that Phantom Lord was doing, and I was so scared for everyone. Are you okay, are you hurt, do you need me to heal you?" the young girl belted out in a single breath as tears began forming in her eyes.
"I'm fine, don't worry about me." Erza lied. In truth her body ached all over from her struggle against the Metsu spell. But there were more important things for her to focus on currently. "What are you doing here? I figured you would be locked up somewhere."
"I was! But that jerk Gajeel kidnapped Lucy and Lisanna as well, and when he left, Simon popped out and broke us out. He's currently distracting the kid in charge of watching us." Wendy explained.
Erza raised an eyebrow. She wasn't surprised about Simon. The man was as loyal as he was clever. If anyone was to pull a surprise prison break, it would be him. She was more confused at her comment that Phantom Lord had placed a child in charge of watching prisoners. It seemed like every new thing she learned about this guild made her opinion of it sink to lower depths. There was a cough to the side, and both sisters looked over to Sieglinde.
"This reunion is nice and all, but we need to get you back to Porlyusica's." Sieglinde interrupted. "The sooner your Guild Master is healed, the sooner he can clean up this mess. I'll fly you."
"That's right! I need to heal him! Let's get going!" Wendy agreed.
"Wait! We need to get Lucy out of here too! Everyone in Phantom Lord is after her as well!" Lisanna argued.
"I can only carry one of you." Sieglinde replied. "Belserion can keep an eye on you until we're back with your Master."
Lisanna opened her mouth to argue more, put Lucy put a hand on her shoulder. "Lisanna, it's fine. Healing the Master is more important. Besides, we'll be perfectly safe with Erza. She can take on just about anyone, can't she?"
As if fate had been listening in on that exact comment, the ceiling at the other end of the hall exploded down into the room. Dark wisps began to crawl down from the hole, wandering along the ceiling and down to the floor. Following this ghastly procession, Jose began to slowly float down from the darkness above. In one hand he held a wounded Jellal by the throat.
"Jellal!" Erza and Sieglinde both shouted out in concern, much to the surprise of the other.
Jellal looked back at the voices, his eyes widening in fear through bloodied hair upon seeing his friends. "Run! You must get out of here!" he choked out.
"Oh? Have a couple more of Makarovs children finally showed up?" Jose turned his head to look at the Fairy Tail members, his smile wicked and eyes the color of a pitch-black void. "Good… I was getting bored with this one."
