Author's Note: The reason why I'm lacking ideas is because it's based off another fanfic I read and I can't get SHIT DONE if it's based off another fanfic unless I pull ideas outta my ass. Also I'm doing two fanfics at the same time per chapter.

Chapter 7

Later that day - Uzumaki Household

It was the same routine over and over in the Uzumaki Household. Karin gets up, losing the contents of her stomach, Naruto holds her by her hair and gives her water, going out as a 'couple' and comes home like what they did outside didn't happen. They were lovers by day and friends by night, which is weird since it's the other way around for most people.

Unbeknownst to both of them, they were actually getting comfortable in their own lie to the point they started holding hands or having their arms wrapped around each other. When they realized what they were doing their faces matched Karin's hair and their hearts skipped a beat, they quickly separated, getting carried away for it to be fake.

Is it fake?

Karin was laying in her own bed in her own world. She's only a month and a half pregnant and it already dawned on her what could happen next after she gives birth. Does she move out, find somewhere else to live and raise their child separately with the help of another woman in Naruto's life and a man in her own life.

Does Karin want someone in her life? She never thought about getting into a relationship with someone except Sasuke but she lost interest after getting to know Naruto. She can find someone else. Right? "Fat chance." Karin said to herself. No man wants a woman who has a kid with someone else. (Except Inari's Step-Dad.)

Then a thought brought in her head, who will Naruto end up with? Just the thought of another woman in Naruto's life made her feel some type of way in her stomach, and it wasn't the morning sickness, it was different.

Then she wondered who'll be her son or daughter's stepmother. The Hyuga girl might make an okay stepmother since she has the hots for Naruto and he was too dense to see it. Hell, if she's like any other girl, she'll try and snag Naruto as soon as they 'break up', then she'll be alone.

But Karin doesn't want to be alone, or wants someone else. She doesn't know why but Naruto always pops in her head. Everytime, she keeps telling herself they're not a couple but it felt wrong, like she was lying to herself. Why does Naruto keep popping in her head?

A knock on the door interrupted her thoughts. "Come in." Said Karin. The door opened and it was Naruto, holding a tray of food and water. 'Speak of the handsome devil.' She bashed herself, where did that come from.

Naruto didn't dare to look her in the eyes. To Karin, it looked like he was embarrassed. "Are you hungry?" Naruto asked.

She looked at the food and looked back at Naruto. She wasn't entirely hungry but her heart wouldn't refuse Naruto's offer. "Yes. Thank you." She took the tray of food and started eating.

Naruto gave her a smile, that same smile she grew to love. "No problem. Is there anything else you need?" He asked.

She thought about it, at this point she wasn't thinking about food, all her thoughts were about the boy next to her. He was her prisoner, he's her baby daddy, he's her light.

"Actually Naruto." She wanted to test this out, to see if it's true. "Can you… keep me company?"

Naruto blinks in confusion. "You want me to stay with you?" He asked. Those last three words made her feel butterflies in her stomach, she nodded. "How long?" He asked.

She pondered, chances this might not end up as she expected it. "Overnight." She said, she then put the tray on the side of the bed and moved to the other side of the bed, motioning him to sit next to her.

Naruto's eyes widened in surprise. Was she asking him to sleep with her? "You want me to sleep with… you?" He asked, cheeks burning.

Her cheeks were burning as well. "I wasn't able to sleep well for the past few days." That was sort of true. "I'm… lonely." She said softly.

That was enough to push the awkwardness away from Naruto's head. He understands how she felt as he was familiar with sleeping and waking up alone. Although it's still awkward, he'll do anything to make Karin feel welcomed.

He lays next to Karin, keeping his distance. To his surprise, she got closer, they were an inch away from each other. Close enough for him to wrap his arms around her body, which he almost did without caution.

Karin lay on her back and stared at the ceiling. Naruto just looked at her warily, guessing she's in deep thoughts. "Naruto-kun." She called.

That surprised him, she usually called him Naruto-kun in public but not in private. "Yes?" He responded.

She looked into his eyes, crimson meeting sapphire. She might as well ask. "Is there… someone you want to be with?" She might as well ask. It's better to know the girl so she would look forward to ripping her head off in the future if Naruto Jr complains about her.

Naruto flinched at the question but looked away from her. He wasn't sure how to answer that question. Karin can tell Naruto felt uncomfortable, did she hit a nerve? "You don't have to answer if it's personal." She said, turning to the other side of the bed, back facing Naruto.

By the feeling of Naruto's chakra, she can tell he relaxed a little after she dropped the question. It was probably for the best, she might not like the answer if he told her.

She turned off the lamp and she went to sleep minutes later. Naruto was still awake, debating whether he should tell her or not. He went to sleep, he might have to ask for help tomorrow.

Author's Note: If you guys know where this is going and are upset it hasn't happened, for the sake of the plot, I'm taking it slow for both Naruto and Karin and unlike these other fanfic authors, they don't know what they're doing.
