Saving Private Green
Instead of showing our heroes sliding into some odd underground lair, it shows a Japanese style illustration of a forest, where an innocent Pikachu is seen eating a berry as a young male voice narrates.
?: Long ago, our kind lived in a lush green forest. The trees stretched on for miles and miles, and behind every branch, a predator lied in wait.
As the Pikachu ate, it failed to notice an Arbok slithering behind it.
?: The world was as dangerous as it was large, and we were very small.
But just as the Arbok was about to strike…. Another Pikachu came onto the scene, electrocuting the Arbok and fainting it, the two Pikachu touching tails in a form of greeting or gratitude.
?: But by banding together, we overcame our struggles, and together we survived. Until one day, another one of us, who is now our exalted leader, detailed how he was attacked by a terrible evil that emerged from beyond the forest. A demon more fierce than anything we witnessed, and whatever it was, it wanted us dead. He called it….. The Capped One.
Another scene shows an odd, demonic looking version of Ash stomping and mutilating the Pikachu, as demonic versions of Cobalt as a Riolu and Green as a Treecko are also seen massacreing the rodents.
?: The Capped One, along his indentured servants of The Jackal and The Lizard, decimated everything in its path, scouring the forests with an unquenchable bloodlust.
Another scene showing a Pikachu being burned alive by Aiden as a Charmeleon.
?: Countless victims were burned alive by his slaves fiery breath or pummeled into the ground by their superior strength,
Another scene details a Pikachu being forcibly sucked into an black shape resembling a Pokeball as a demonic Azula as a Drizzile is seen being released from one.
?: Captured and brainwashed by horror balls, exactly like the ones in which the Capped One keeps its pets. It seemed the Capped One was destined to destroy us all….
One last scene shows the Capped One looking back at a silhouette illuminated by the sun, the silhouette being that of the Leader Pikachu.
?: But amid the flames of destruction, a hero rose from the ashes to save us all. A hero known as-
Random Rude Voice: Keeps his pets in balls?
The chapter then shows three Pikachu underground by a campfire; these being a normal Pikachu, a Pichu, and what we know as a shiny Pikachu.
Shiny: Really? Keeps his pets in balls?
Pikachu: Stop interrupting the legend!
Shiny: So not only does the Capped One have pets, but you're saying he keeps them inside balls?
Pichu: Maybe it's a metaphor.
Pikachu: It's not a- *sigh* Look, it's just a trivial detail that doesn't meet-
Shiny: We're changing it! If we have to memorize this, I'm not saying that part.
Pichu: Wait, we have to memorize this? Can we please start over? I wasn't paying attention.
Pikachu: Fine, *glares at Shiny* but no interruptions! *narrator voice* Long ago, our people lived in a-
Suddenly, not too far from them, the brown canine Pokemon that was with the group falls into the cave after digging since the end of the previous chapter.
Canine: Oh, uh, er, Hi, sorry for breaking into your house, I was, I *stutters*... I was digging.
Pikachu: …..What are these called again?
Shiny: I think it was Gardie or something.
Pikachu: Today's your lucky day, Gardie! Welcome to the Pikachu militia!
Canine: Oh, *small laugh*, thanks, but I'm not really looking to join like…. Did you say militia?
Misty and Brock then fall down the hole and nearly land on the dog. However, Ash's cap comes down as well, startling the Pikachu.
Pikachu: Is that….. No way.
Shiny: No way!
Pikachu: Then that means-
Both Ash and Cobalt then fall down the hole, Ash landing on Brock;s stomach as Cobalt then lands on his feet in a superhero pose, glaring angrily at the mice.
Pichu: …..*screams, runs away* It's the Capped One!
Pikachu: Okay, okay, we can do this. *to Shiny* Pikachu, I choose you!
Shiny: I thought I was the trainer! Were we taking turns?
Pikachu: I never agreed to that!
The Pikachu is attacked by Cobalt's Aura Sphere, where the Lucario then picks up Shiny, growling.
Cobalt: WHERE IS THE SCEPTILE? I know you rats have him, now where is he?!
However, a Metapod is shown to peek over Shiny's shoulder, attacking Cobalt with String SHot. As Cobalt drops Shiny, he uses the Metapod to swing away.
Shiny: THEY'RE HERE! PREPARE YOURSELVES!
He manages to get the silk off of him, turning to the others frustrated as Kestrel peeks out of Ash;s backpack as he gets his hat back.
Cobalt: *sarcastic* Oh, hey, great teamwork, guys! Thanks a lot!
Misty: You know, we all can;t be agile and almost boneless like you, you know.
Canine: Sorry, I still wasn't sure what side I was supposed to be on.
Kestrel: Ooh, ooh, join our side! *to Cobalt* Can we keep her, Poppa?
Cobalt: *sighs* Okay, sure. *to Canine* You. I'm Cobalt, what's your name?
Canine: Uh, I uh…. My name's Hunter. But I don't actually want to join a-
Cobalt: Cool. Hunter, you're with us now.
Kestrel: Yay!
Hunter: Oh, so you're just going to ignore me then.
Cobalt: Kinda. Ash, could you-
Ash: *takes out Pokedex* I was waiting for when you'd need it.
Pokedex: Rockruff, the Puppy Pokémon. A Rock type. Rockruff have lived with humans since ancient times. When it gets close to evolving, Rockruff's temperament becomes more aggressive, and it tends to act more independent. This Rockruff is level 25, Female, and has the ability, Own Tempo. It knows the moves Bite, Dig, Rock Climb, and Rock Throw.
Hunter: *surprised* Wait, can these humans-
Cobalt: Only Ash can permanently. *gestures to Misty and Brock* These two are temporarily able to understand us. Now come on, let's keep moving.
The group then walks forward, Brock looking down to Hunter.
Brock: So you're a Rock-type?
Hunter: Oh, uh… Yeah, I'm not from aroun here as you can tell. I'm from a place called Alola.
Brock: Huh… Sounds interesting.
Eventually, the group slid down into another part of the cave, only for the humans to be disgusted at the sight.
Ash: Uh…. This is giving me…. Really bad flashbacks…
The cave reveals a bunch of drawings that show different ways the Pikachus could kill Ash, such as getting Sevipers to bite him to death, getting a Metapod to stab right through him, or two Pikachus to force feed him berries as Cobalt and Green are left to starve.
Hunter: Huh…. So I'm guessing they aren't big fans of yours.
Cobalt: The rodents are my sworn enemies. After their leader hurt Ash like he did before, I swore I'd make him face justice for what he's done… And now he's made this entire pack of Pikachu vow to kill me because I hit him or whatever.
Misty looks at a drawing of a Pikachu shoving Ash into a Pokeball.
Misty: *offended* Hey, why aren't we in any of these drawings?
Ash: Well apparently, they think I'm STUPID enough to fall for their crude traps.
The trap shows a Green dummy being hung on top of a puddle, which Cobalt cuts down and drags over to him.
Brock: Well, you do have to admire the craftsmanship though.
Ash: Yeah, that does look exactly like Green.
Hunter: So… I guess this Green must be pretty important then, right… Ash, was it?
Ash: ….*sadly* Hunter…. Have you ever had any friends?
Hunter: That's kind of a mean question out of context.
Ash: After Gary, I never thought I;d have any. *looks sadly at dummy* But I gained Cobalt and Green as friends when I startd my journey, but then just today, I lost one. Green was willing to help me no matter what…. *determined* It's my job as a trainer to keep him safe. I will do anything to get Green back, even if it means risking my life!
Brock: Well, that isn;t concerning.
Cobalt: Relax, Brock. If this is the best trap they can come up with, we'll be fine.
Suddenly, a large rock suddenly falls on the puddle, indicating that one of them should have drowned
?: Damn it! *sounds of Pikachus can be heard* It's fine, it's fine, just stay focused!
A Pokeball is seen opening as a Raichu suddenly runs by them, almost shocking Misty with Thunder Shock. However, up above, Cobalt sees the shiny from earlier running away
Cobalt: Follow that mouse!
Ash: Better tuck in, Kestrel!
The Togepi tucked back into Ash;s backpack as the group ran. Suddenly, more rocks fall down and one rock is being thrown by Pikachus using their tails to make it fall, The group is shown running for their lives while both Misty and Hunter start panicking. Shiny runs into some sort of arena and goes through an entrance, but the others are stopped as a rock blocks their way through.
Cobalt: Damn it! Hunter, can you dig through this- AGH!
Cobalt then gets attacked by a Bubblebeam out of nowhere. As a screech echoes through the chamber, the group looks up to see an Aerodactyl, which Ash recognizes as the one thatalmost made him plummet to his death some time ago. On the Aerodactyl's back is a Raichu who holds a purple clamshell with a tongue sticking out.
Pokedex: Shellder, the Bivalve Pokemon. A Water type. Shellder can swim backwards by opening and closing its two shells. Even if the shells close, its tongue always remains sticking out.
Cobalt growls at the Raichu, only to be pushed back more by a strong Water Gun from the Shellder.
Raichu: Ease up, you're gonna kill him!
Shellder: *blows raspberry, as it is the only way it can communicate*
Raichu: No, change of plans! We're capturing them.
Shellder: *blows raspberry*
Raichu: Well, they're wrong! Especially that so-called leader, and when I catch the Lizard, they'll be answering to me!
Shellder: *blows raspberry*
Cobalt: Get off me! *groans* If only Green were here.
Ash: Hunter, I know I'm not your trainer, but I need your help with this. Use Rock Throw!
Looking surprised at Ash, the Rockruff nodded as her tail glowed, summoning a few rocks that fired at the Raichu and Shellder. The impact of the rocks causes Aerodactyl to stumble in the air and Raichu to drop the Shellder, allowing Cobalt to grab the bivalve and Fore Palm it into the wall.
Raichu: NO! *growls* Are you kidding me?! That was my only-
An Aura Sphere comes but Raichu kicks the Aerodactyl's side, causing it to screech and fly away from it, only to continue dodging more Aura Sphere and even Rock Throws.
Raichu: Flying, flying, flying, flying, flying, flying, flying, flying, oh, where are you, where are you, where are you? There!
The Raichu then takes out a ball, releasing a Golbat.
Golbat: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Raichu: Remember, we're catching the Capped One. I need him alive, so use Confuse Ra-
Golbat: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
Raichu: Use Confu-
Golbat: AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!
Raichu: …..Use Co-
Golbat: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH- *gets recalled*
Raichu: Never mind, it's not worth it.
Brock: I think we're doing pretty well.
Raichu: Where is it? Where is it? Ah! Aha! Here we go! *releases Beedrill* Oh no, not you.
Beedrill: *laughs* As I live and buzz! Honey, baby, what made you change your mind?
Raichu: Return. Return! Come back now, please!
Beedrill: Ah, no way! *lowers himself* That's the Capped One? He's a lot shorter than I expected.
Ash: *offended* Hey!
Raichu: Please stop.
Beedrill: You know, I don't really get out much anymore.
Raichu: Please stop!
Beedrill: I never even thought I'd get the chance to fight again.
Raichu: Stop!
Beedrill: So I must say...
Raichu: Don't you dare!
Beedrill: It's great to BEE here! *laughs* Ah, I kill me.
The Beedrill is then set on fire, which is revealed to come from Aiden as Ash lets him out.
Beedrill: *screams* It was worth it! IT WAS WORTH IT! I regret nothing! I REGRET NOTHING! I DIE COMPLETELY FULFILLED IN LIFE! *Cobalt knocks him out*
Aiden: Huh. Turns out I kill him. Would you look at that?
Raichu: ….. *sighs* Didn't want to resort to this. *takes out an Ultra Ball* Please, please do not kill him.
Raichu then throws the ball as it opens. Suddenly, something crashes down after the Ultra Ball is released. The dust settles to reveal a bipedal, draconic Pokémon primarily dark blue with a red underbelly and a golden star shape adorns the tip of its -like appendages that resemble a jet or plane's engines resided on its head as a large fin laid on its back. As well as large blades on its arms laid with white talons.
The dragon let out a loud, ear-shattering roar that split the ground around it and made the others stumble back. Amazed at such power, Ash scanned the new Pokemon.
Pokedex: Garchomp, the Mach Pokémon. A Dragon and Ground type. Garchomp is extremely territorial and aggressive by nature, ften attacking anything that wanders into its territory. When it folds up its body and spreads its wings, it can fly like a jet plane at the speed of sound.
Aiden growled at the Garchomp, only to be interrupted by a loud crash. Ash looks over to see Harold out of his ball, having sliced the rock in half with Razor Shell. Misty gains a determined expression as Brock frowns, releasing Steelix.
Cobalt: Misty? Brock?
Misty: We'll hold this guy off, don;t worry!
Brock: Just focus on saving Green!
Seeing this, Ash smiles and nods gratefully as he runs through the entrance, Aiden following as several more lights appear indicating Ash was releasing the others.
Cobalt: I….. I can't thank you two enough.
Brock: You can thank us by saving your brother, now go!
The Lucario nods as he runs down the entrance, Hunter following after him as Raichu glares at the two, hopping off the Aerodactyl.
Raichu: You two really want to do this?... Alright…. Let's tussle!
Both pairs charged at one another, Garchomp clashing a Dragon Claw with Steelix's Iron Tail while Harold prepared to use Fury Cutter on Aerodactyl, who attempted to use Ancient Power. However, as Harold and Garchomp blade clashed, the scene finally cut to black.

Meanwhile, a room full of Pikachu, relaxing, training, and even farming and training Metapod and Caterpie. The scene moves to two guard Pikachus as another Pikachu walks through, one of the guards sighs.
Guard Pikachu #1: Something wrong?
Guard Pikachu #2: I don't know. I mean I chose to be here right now, but do I actually have the ability to choose? If I'm making decisions based on personal experience, then I'm just seeking the optimal choice based on previous trial and error results for my life. I think my choices might just have been the product of how I've been previously conditioned to choose. What do you think?
Guard Pikachu #1: …I'm hungry.
Guard Pikachu #2: Eh, you're right, this job is shit. Let's get lunch.
The two guard Pikachus go over to a part of the room where lunch is being served, which has a giant rock with the word "LUNCH" on it and an arrow pointing to the left. A line of Pikachus are waiting for lunch, which is revealed to show a Pikachu is nibbling on one of Green's back orbs, with the Sceptile bound to the ground by String Shot.
Pikachu #1: I still can't believe Shiny got us a cow!
Pikachu #2: I can't believe he's so delicious!
Pikachu #3: And high in fiber!
Green: Let me go, you crazy rats! I ain;t your meal ticket! Not cut this silk so I can cut your throats!
Shiny: Coming through!
Shiny comes through, giving Green a large tub fiul of Cherri Berries.
Green: Are…. Are these…
He then sniffs the berries, then starts eating them.
Green: Never mind. If I'm not rescued by midnight, this is my life now.
As Green continues eating the berries, the Pichu from earlier comes back to warn the other Pikachus, panting from exhaustion.
Pichu: *pants* Guys! You guys, he's here! The Capped One is here!
Green: Wait…. *surprised* Ash is here!? He…. He came to save me?
Pikachu #1: *to Pichu* Yeah. Duh.
Pikachu #2: We trapped him and his traitors in the arena. Where have you been?
Shiny: You gotta relax, Richie. Have some cow! I just fed him.
Green: Yeah, Richie! For now, have some! I'm part of a nutritious breakfast.
Richie: You don't understand! Remember the Gardie from earlier? The Jackal is using her to dig through-
Rumbling is heard as everyone looks over, showing Ash's team landing in, looking intimidating as Cobalt, both paw spies deployed into Metal Claw looms over them with a glare.
Green: …..*teary-eyed* My heroes…..
Cobalt: I'M GIVING YOU ALL ONE LAST CHANCE! SURRENDER NOW AND I PROMISE WE WILL SPARE YOU ALL! WHERE'S?! MY?! BROTHER?!
After a brief period of silence, the Pikachus attack the group, but they all fight back. All 5 of them were in a massive melee with the rodents, even Ash had to fight back by kicking them off his legs. Hunter uses Rock Throw on a Pikachu, however all that did was trip him, causing him to yell and cradle his knee.
Pikachu: Oh Arceus, my fucking knee! That's my knee! Dammit!... SHIT! *collapses*
Hunter: Ha! It worked! Cobalt, it-
The Rockruff gets trapped in string by the Pikachu's Metapods. Aiden then disperses the huge group with a flamethrower, then uses another Flamethrower to burn the room, with more and more Pikachu fainting.
Ash: *angry* We won;t let you get away with what you've done to us!
Cobalt: I WILL KILL EVERY LAST ONE OF YOU WITH MY BARE HANDS IF I HAVE TO! *stomps on Pikachu's arm* JUST GIVE ME GREEN!
?: Hey!
The group turned around, spotting the Leader Pikachu standing atop a large rock, Green is seen stuck to the floor behind him.
Leader Pikachu: You want him, come get him!
Cobalt frowns as he gets ready to attack the leader Pikachu, but is stopped by a Flame Burst, sending him to the ground. Cobalt groans and gets up, looking over to see Houndoom and next to him, a large red spider Pokemo with long legs, purple eyes and a large horn on its head.
Ash: *takes out Pokedex* Is that…?
Pokedex: Ariados, the Long Leg Pokémon and the evolved form of Spinarak. A Bug and Posion type. It is said to attach string to its prey and intentionally set it free, only to recapture it along with its companions.
Yami: So… That little Spinarak managed to evolve….
Leader Pikachu: Admiral, Webby! Kill them. I believe in you!
A fight then starts between Ash's five Pokemon, along with Webby and Houndoom. Though Houndoom would be easily overpowered by Cobalt and Azula, they couldn;'t get any hits in due to the speed of Webby's attacks. However, things got worse when Azula was bit by Webby, poisoning her.
Ash: Azula, no!
Leader Pikachu: Welcome to your reckoning, Capped One! I can't believe you actually wanted to be friends with me…. I practically made you a legend. But seeing you now, you're not a legend, you just don't give up. So neither did I, but there's a key difference between us. I'm a leader. I train my Pokemon. What's happening to your's again?
Suddenly, a bright light shone through the cocoon entrapping Hunter, who screams from within. As the glow becomes brighter, the cocoon breaks, revealing a new Pokemon from within. She was now an orange wolf Pokemon with brown claws on her feet and a white mane around her neck with a curl that goes over head with a black tip, along with four rocks around her neck. She had red eyes for one second, but changed to an emerald green the second she stopped screaming.
Psi: Hm, well that is unprecedented.
Cobalt: *smirks* Let's find out! Hunter, would you please?
Hunter: *smirks, eyes turn red* No problem…
The fight resumes, this time Hunter charges at Webby, surrounding herself in a white aura and then slamming into the spider. Ash looks at Pikachu in the eye as he recalls his Inteleon while the others fight off Houndoom.
Leader Pikachu: You know, human, I almost killed your friend. I wanted to take someone from you like you took my freedom from me! But then I remembered, we are not the same. You might have these traitors fooled, but you don't fool me. If I killed him, you wouldn't feel anything.
Ash: *tears up* SHUT UP!
Cobalt launched an Aura Sphere at the Pikachu, but...
Leader Pikachu: Admiral!
The Dark Pokemon blocks the Aura Sphere, and for every use of any of the party's moves, Houndoom keeps blocking it.
Cobalt: Don't you see what's happening? He's lying to you! While he accuses Ash of being a monster that enslaves our kind, you're a slave yourself! If that rat really cared about you, he wouldn't be giving you orders, he'd be fighting by your side.
Aiden: It's not too late. Join us, Houndoom. You'll have real comradery and we'll all get stronger, as a team.
Houndoom: …You don't remember me, do you?
Cobalt: …..*eyes narrow* I'll try to make this as quick and painless as I can.
The team continues their assault, all the while Houndoom continues to block it until he gets tired, a purple bush on his face due to Yami's Sludge Bomb and sparking from Psi's Thunderbolt.
Cobalt: If you stand between me and Green, I WILL resort to casualties. Are you willing to die for these vermin?
Houndoom: He is MY master! My only family! *pants* If I can stop you from hurting just one more, *pants* it's worth it.
Cobalt glares as he nods to Aiden with Hunter already beaten Webby. Aiden picks up the canine as Cobalt then points a Metal Claw at her. Though Ash looks reluctant, he knows Pikachu won't simply give up Green. So, though he didn;t want this to end in bloodshed, he nodded, which permitted Cobalt to turn to the leader and point his Metal Claw at the Houndoom's throat.
Cobalt: RELEASE OUR FRIEND NOW, or he dies!
Leader Pikachu: …..
Cobalt: …..Did you hear me? Give Green back right now or I will kill him!
Leader Pikachu: …Do it.
Cobalt: …You chose this. I gave you an out and you refused, so let this be a lesson to all of you! This is what happens when you stand between me and my brother!
But just as Green was about to slit Houndoom's throat.
?: That's enough!
The group suddenly looked over to the entrance, seeing Red and Pika come through.
Ash: Dad?
Cobalt: Red? How did you know we were here?
Red: Vee told us she sensed an odd psychic presence. But I didnlt know it was something concerning this.
Leader Pikachu: …..F… Father?... You've been captured by a human?
Green: …What a twist!
Pika: Yes I have… And I don't regret it one bit.
Leader Pikachu: But…. But you said when I was a Pichu you'd never allow yourself to be caught for as long as you lived!
Pika: That I did. But that was before I learned that not all humans are bad. Many trainers know what they are doing.
Leader Pikachu: You… *angered* TRAITOR! Aerodactyl, get in here!
…..But no one responded.
Leader Pikachu: Aerodactyl!
Suddenly, Aerodactyl was thrown into the romm via the entrance, along with Garchomp and Raichu. The one revealed to have thrown the three was Steelix as Brock, Misty, and Harold walked into the room.
Hunter: It's the others!
Misty: Harold, use Fury Cutter on Green's binds!
The Golisopod nodded before leaping and slicing Green free, allowing him to leap over and rejoin the others. Cobalt and Green stared at one another, the two remaining in silence. Green was about to speak before Cobalt suddenly trapped him in a hug, tears welling up in his eyes. Smiling softly at his brother, Green hugged him back as Ash ran up to Green, sniffling and smiling as he was also brought into the hg with Green and Cobalt, happy to see his start alive and well. Though as everyone smiled at the sight, the other Pikachu that had regained consciousness were confused.
Pikachu #1: I don't get it… Why is the Capped One crying over a slave?
Pikachu #2: I thought he couldn;t cry at all.
Pika: Pikachu tribe! Hear my words! You all have been cheated and lied too!
The rest of the tribe gasped as a female looked angrily at her mate.
Female Pikachu: I knew it! *slaps mate*
Pika: Simply put, my child, who has grown to become your leader, has lied to you all about this child! *points to Ash* This child is the son of my trainer and he tells of his tale of how he was attacked. The boy never raised a hand or threatened my child. In fact… He was trying to only be his friend.
Pikachu #1: So….. He attacked the Capped One…. For nothing?
They all looked to Pika, who nodded slowly and looked away from his child in shame as he ran back to Red and perched on his shoulder. With the truth out, the leader looked back, nervous to see the entire clan growled at him.
Shiny: You lied to us!
Pikachu #2: You made us into monsters!
Pikachu #3: You made us attack a child for nothing!
Leader Pikachu: *nervous* S-S-Stand down! This is an order from your trainer!
Pikachu #2: Get him!
Shiny: Feed him to the Arcanines!
With a nervous squeal, the leader recalled Houndoom before running, leaving the backpack behind as the entire Pikachu pack chased after him, leaving the others simply standing there.
Green: Should we go after him?
Misty: Huh… I didn;t hear that.
Brock: Guess whatever that thing did to us wore off.
Ash: No, Green… Something tells me we won;t be seeing Pikachu again. *picks up Gary's backpack* Come on, let's go home….
Ash recalled Green and the rest of his party, besides Cobalt, as the others followed suite before leaving the room and going their way home, Cobalt carrying the Aerodactyl and Hunter following not too far behind.

Later on in the forest, Houndoom is seen staring off with a neutral expression like some kind of inert drone. He is shown to be cured of his paralysis and poison as the Leader Pikachu looks to him, the mouse bruised and bloody with a small notch in his tail missing.
Leader Pikachu: Admiral….. I've lost everything. The tribe. The war. Webby….. My... everyone. When we first met and I enlisted you in my war against the Capped One and the humans, you warned me this would happen….. You knew I was doing the wrong thing, but now I'm asking you…. You have to tell me. How do we fix this? What do I do?
Houndoom: We'll do whatever you want.
Leader Pikachu: No! That's all we've ever done! All of this, the pack attacking me, the raid on the gym, you being the only one I have left…. It's all because of me! I was so sure of everything and now look what's happened! Just... Please tell me there's a way to make things right.
Houndoom: There's a way to make things right.
Leader Pikachu: Admiral, I don't need a soldier. I need help. I'm sorry for everything I've done to you. I'm sorry I said I didn;t care. You're the only one I have left. Please! *close to crying* Please just help me!
Houndoom: Okay… Tell me what to do and I'll do it.
Leader Pikachu: I don't know what to do! Every time I think I'm doing the right thing, I make everything worse! I can't keep making mistakes. PLEASE! Just tell me what I have to… *realizes* Oh. This whole time... I knew you were afraid like me, but... It's not me you've been afraid of…. *takes out Pokeball* You gave me complete loyalty. Everything I asked of you. Everything. But now, you lack what I wanted before…. Whoever gets control of you next... I pity them.
The Leader Pikachu drops the ball onto the ground and stomps on it, releasing Houndoom. Houndoom's eyes open all the way as if he fully woke up from a nap before looking forward, spotting the leader walking away alone.
Leader Pikachu: Take care of yourself… Goodbye, Houndoom.
And so, the Pikachu walked and walked for miles on end, going through with no trainers trying to catch him throughout the forest and even through Viridian City. However, as he made his way through Route 1, he heard something. Some sort of… whistle. Suddenly, many eyes watched the Pikachu from the trees where a Grovyle walked out.
Grovyle: Bit far from home, eh stranger?
Leader Pikachu: ….I have no home. Not anymore.
Grovyle: Well, that's a darn shame. You know… Sorry if I seem cold, but we've sort of gained a bit of a thing against Pikachu. You see, one of our own was nearly killed by one. Poor boy was left on the ground and paralyzed when the bugger ran off. Thanks to some of our own youngin', he made it just fine… Though I don;t think that would be you… Or would you?
Leader Pikachu: *accusatory* How did you knwo I Thunderbolted someone here?!
Grovyle: I didn't…. Until now….
The Pikachu covered his mouth as he gained a horrified expression while many other Grovyke, Treecko, and one single Sceptile walked out from the brush, all of them glaring at him.
Leader Pikachu: Um…. Is it too late to say sorry?
Arthur: ATTACK!
The camera moves over to show the shadow of the cowering Pikachu before Arthur slashed him with his blades, which was the signal for everyone to start attacking. To them, the screams were blood-curlding and able to turn the stomach of the strongest Pokemon. But tpo any pasing trainer, it just sounded like a wild Pokemon battle… That is, until the Pikachu's screams ceased….

Prof. Oak: It's hard to believe your Pokemon sustained such injuries from a bunch of Pikachu.
Ash: Well, there were a lot of them.
The group had decided to stop at Oak's lab, so Ash's team could be patched up. Just now, Cobalt was finished being bandaged as the rangers took the injured Aeroactyl that had "escaped from their custody". On the couch, Ash sat with his bandaged starters and Hunter as she sat near the armrest as Misty and Brock had decided to head to the house for some rest.
Green: So, this wolf Pokemon went with you guys to save me?
Cobalt: Pretty much.
Prof. Oak: Well, this should do. The worst of it was your Inteleon being poisoned, Ash. Just be more careful next time.
Ash: Thank you, Professor.
Prof. Oak: Of course. *chuckles* Looks like history repeated itself. With that Pikachu, wild Sceptile and a Riolu saved you. Now, you were helped by a Lycanroc that I've never seen before. Aren;t you lucky? Oh, *holds up backpack* and thank you for finding Gary's backpack.
Ash nodded as Oak left to work on something else, allowing Sparjy to come in and check out the wolf.
Cobalt: What'd he say Hunter was now? A Lycanroc?
Ash: *takes out Pokedex* Yeah, I think so…
Pokedex: Lycanroc, the Wolf Pokémon and the evolved form of Rockruff. A Rock type. Well equipped with claws and fangs, Lycanroc also uses the sharp rocks in its mane as weapons. Fragments that break off are treasured as good luck charms. This Lycanroc is in its Dusk Form and is level 26, Female, and has the ability, Own Tempo. It knows the moves Bite, Stone Edge, Rock Climb, and Accelerock.
Ash: "Dusk form"? What does that mean?
The Pokedex then explained this, showing three different Lucanroc, one that was brown and quadrapedal, one bipedal with red fur, and the one Hunter was now.
Pokedex: Rockruff evolves into 3 separate forms of Lycanroc, depending on whether it evolves in the day, night, or at sunset. The Dusk form is the hardest form for a Rockruff to obtain.
Hunter: Woah. *chuckles* Guess I'm one lucky pup, huh?
Cobalt: Yep… But, what are you going to do now, Hunter?
Hunter: Hmm… To be honest… *looks down* I don;t think I can go home or even where home is.
Ash: Well, you were really impressive during the whole rescue mission, Hunter. If you really have nowhere else to go, maybe you can stay with us?
Hunter: Huh? Are you sure?
Green: Yeah, I saw you, girl. You were awesome out there with that… Accelerock, was it?
Ash: Yeah, that's what it's called. We can really use that type of versatility in the League.
Cobalt: Yeah, Hunter. Why don;t you join our team?
Hunter: Well, I don't know…. *smirks* Just kidding! Sure!
Ash smiled as he got out a Pokeball, tapping it on Hunter's head as it sucked her in. The ball shook a bit before it locked, indicating the catch was successful.
Green: Alright, we got a Rock-type!
Cobalt: More than that, we got a rare one!
Ash smiled as he released Hunter, who happily hopped into her new trainer's lap and allowed him to pet her. Ash was happy, not only did he get one of his oldest friends back, but got a new one as well. THe future did seem brighter. But little did Ash and friends know…
They were about to embark on their biggest adventure to date. One that would not only test their power, but will force Ash to balance the fate of the entire world…
