Chapter 4: The Trauma.

A/N: I have posted after months but expect this to be the norms for more 5-6 months and after that I can post regular. The reason behind this action is my exams. These exams are of national level and I have to do well otherwise I will need to wait for the next year which I don't want to. Please pray that I pass these upcoming exams in this month and the next months to come so that I get a job early. HEHE! I need prayers you guys.

Hinata woke up after she felt an arm draping around her bare mid-section. His touch stirred something inside her so she snuggled close to his heat and decided to shower kisses on his neck. It was his weak spot so she could feel him trembling in his sleep. She smiled at how silly he was and ceased her action. It was rare that Sasuke slept this peacefully so she let him be. She peered at him from her position and marvelled at how lavish he looked.

His features were something out of a fairy tale and she was sure most would die for his looks. A pinkish hue dusted her cheeks as she roamed her eyes from his perfectly sculpted body to his equally grandiose face. His skin was pale but it had a healthy undertone. Even though various cuts and bruises were scattered throughout his chest and abdomen, they did nothing to lessen his beauty. His face was unmarked though as if even his enemies didn't dare lay a hand on his handsome countenance. He had the most chiseled jaws and sharp nose out of her peers. His eyes were decorated with thick eyelashes that rested on his cheeks and his dark eyebrows were perfectly shaped. She almost licked her lips as she set her eyes on his thick juicy red lips.

Thoughts were running wild in her heads and none of them were innocent.

They had always said Uchihas were devil and she took it more literally than metaphorically. Maybe they are right because their hellish red irises and obsidian dark hair made them stand out like the fallen angel and knowing the clan's history they had indeed fallen too far.

Oh the Uchiha has ruined her but she will do her best to keep him safe with herself. She was protective of him and she has recently discovered this side of her. Most people felt the need to protect her but in Sasuke's case she felt the instinct to hide him from the evil eyes of the world. This was a weird trajectory.

To think that she was in love with someone like him made no sense. Nevertheless, it wasn't supposed to make sense. They didn't need to explain it to the world and that included her father.

Suddenly hatred and anger intruded her mind and she tried to push them away. She couldn't say when these feelings made home in her but they overtook her by surprise. She never showed her emotions outwardly other than her shy awkwardness because she was never allowed to and if she dared she was made to feel guilty afterwards. As a child she was always told that it was for her own good. She still remembered how the maids would brush her hair and tell her.

'Hiashi sama would make you a good heiress. Trust your elders'

'Elders know what is good for Hinata-sama'

'Hinata-sama shouldn't do this. A good heiress wouldn't disobey'

So she would listen to them because she trusted her clan. She tried her best to do well by her clan. Who should she trust if not her own clan? She didn't understand at the time that it was a form of manipulation if it wasn't for her friends who put forward that her family was extremely toxic. Her circle of close comrades helped her to clearly piece the abuse together and do some self-reflection.

So it wasn't a surprise as years of abuse and gas lighting could eventually give birth to negative emotions. Did she not have the privilege to feel them? Does this make her a bad person?

Father may have done things for the greater good of the Hyuga clan but she couldn't care less because the damage is beyond Hiashi's control. The only thing she knows that she was neglected for years, used and abused and was expected to forgive him so easily. It wasn't going to happen so easily.

She wasn't naïve she understood why Sasuke might want to salvage her relationship with Hiashi. He knew how clan politics worked and if their endeavour is supported by Hiashi they would have good legs to stand on but at last it will be her own decision.

She had already accepted that Hiashi never loved her and she had made peace with it so why break off that illusion now.

No. Not illusion. It was her reality.

Oh how could she forget the look of pure disgust he had for her whenever they crossed paths? At first she had thought it was because she was weak. She blamed herself and then was determined to work hard. She had wanted to change this perception that she was a failure. She had trained hard for it after all, so hard that her knuckles bled and her body burnt but deep down she knew it was all her fault that her own father hated her.

She would do anything to prove her worth and she had improved and had hoped that she would achieve her goal one day.

'To become a perfect heiress'

However, it wasn't her fate because each time she would overhear her clan talk, she retreated back to her former weaker self, crying and pitying over what she could never have.

"Why does Hiashi-sama hate the heiress?" One of the elders asked her grandmother right in front of Hinata.

Her grandma instead of refuting the claims and reassuring her said something that she could never forget, "Oh don't you know she looks too much like her late mother"

It was filled with such contempt and repulsion that Hinata felt extremely nauseous and ill to her core. She would have accepted anything for an answer but this had cut her deep. Why was she at the receiving end for her mother's death? She didn't do anything. He should not hate her for this. Now she wasn't even sure if she could even become a good heiress because nothing would change. He would still hate her. Just like that her goal now seemed unattainable and she decided she wanted nothing of it.

She reminisced how she sat hours in front of the mirror observing her face, her body and her self-worth. There was a time when she as a child was happy to look like her kaa-san but that changed.

Did they say she resembled her mother? What part? Was it her hair? She had wanted to grow her hair long just like Kaasan but Hiashi was upset. Should she cut it?

An innocent child of her age was so desperate for love that she chopped off a large chunk with a scissor in her hand. It made her look boyish and it seemed awkward on her feminine face. Tears had flowed like river but she did it anyway. She had rejected the legacy of her mother for years just because of her father's sake and even then he never noticed. His eyes were only for Hanabi and she couldn't deny but she had felt jealous and sad.

She still regretted herself for that.

Sasuke slowly turned towards her as if he could feel her inner turmoil. He rubbed the sleep out of his eyes and smirked.

"Are you planning our wedding in your head?"

She blushed profusely because it was so out of the blue.

"What made you think that?" Hinata grabbed her pillow and hit his head pretty hard. He laughed a haughty laughter that was so deep that it ticked her chest. Was it because he just woke up?

She smiled. Sasuke always knew how to diffuse her bad mood and as a thanks she kissed him on the lips, throwing her arms around his neck.

The sudden assault took Sasuke by surprise as she could see the shock in his eyes but he eventually accepted all of her love bombing.

The kiss was chaste as first but it slowly deepened and Hinata didn't want to stop. She was lying naked on him and the only thing that separated them was a thin sheet of satin. She could feel his hands slowly caressing her nape before it attached painfully to her locks of hair and pulled her face to meet his sharingan.

"Don't you know how much I control myself? Please don't test me. I will keep you with me forever"

She wanted to say that she felt the same but her mouth dried and she just kept her mouth close but the next thing he said horrified her.

"Let's get dressed because your annoying brat of a sister is spying on us"

She stumbled out of the bed with the bed sheet wrapped around herself.

"What-" She uttered before activating her Byakugan and confirming.

"Your family is fucking weird. I will murder Hiashi, if he is the one who put her to this" Sasuke said as Hinata's eyes became large and she started to get dressed.

Will father do this? Can he stoop so low as to put Hanabi to spy on them?

She thought better of her father than this and it made her angry. She didn't even give Sasuke his most awaited good bye kiss as he waited on the door but she could hear him say-

"Fuck. There they ruin my farewell"

If it had been any other day and any other circumstance, she would have cackled but she wasn't in the mood now. She had never felt so much rage in her life. Hiashi had violated her boundary not once but twice today after she told him he should stay out of her business. To send her small sister after her was truly disgusting. She really hoped that sweet little innocent Hana hadn't seen more than a teen her age should see. She felt grossed out but she would also have to give Hanabi an earful for the stunt she pulled off.

Soon she reached the Hyuga compound and all she wanted was to march to Hiashi and angrily tell him off but something didn't seem right. As soon as she stepped her foot in the mansion, the guards seemed alert as if they were waiting for someone. They didn't even bow down to her. She felt herself on edge.

Did her father tell the Hyugas about her affair with Sasuke? Were they waiting for her?

Are they going to imprison me or something?

She was about to turn around and run back. The hairs on her nape stood up and she slowly moved backward.

"What are you waiting for? Capture her?" Thousands of chakra like needles pierced her body and fell down, paralysed.

She could not even talk because the chakra had even engulfed her throat. They were heavy and moist as if she just had her crying session.

"We are sorry Hinata-sama" She could hear the guards.

"Shut up dogs" Someone shouted.

A pair of legs stood in front of her and it wasn't her father. Then who?

They sat down and lifted her face to glare down with their Byakugan. It was one of the elders named Hiroto.

What did they want?

"Finally you will atone for your crime Hinata-sama. How dare you break away from tradition?"

She was now sure that they have to come to know about Sasuke. Her plans would be in danger now.

"You have never been good Hinata, no matter how hard we tried to make you a good heiress. I guess you were always suppose to end up a failure" Someone in the crowd said and she knew who it was. It was her grandmother. She now lamented not letting her die of heart attack.

"Throw her inside the cell and take her out only when I say. Now go hurry." Hiroto ordered the others and they grabbed her by her arms. She could not feel her legs when they tried to make her stand as if they were made out of jelly. The chakra had torn some of her muscles and ligaments and she could feel sharp pains in her entire body.

'What cruelty' She wanted to scream at their faces and but she knew it would hardly have any effect on them.

The Guards were about to drag her inside and she grieved over what she could have done to prevent this when a loud voice boomed and vibrated inside her ear drums.

"What's the meaning of this?"

It wasn't a mistake. She could recognise that voice even in hell, if that is even possible.

It was Hiashi and he was angry.

Take care guys and please review because I have resumed this after so long. My writing might have become crispy.
