As it turned out, Nazi was the shortened form of National Socialism, some political ideology from Germany. Their founder started a Second World War and committed genocide against people he deemed inferior. Even now, decades after their defeat in the war, the ideology still lived on somehow, in the stupid country that defeated Nazi Germany.

"Discriminating people because of their skin color or religion is stupid." Weiss said bluntly. Remnant was full of colorful people, from the darkest to the palest of people they were all treated equally, unless they happened to be a faunus, and even then that varied from kingdom to kingdom and from city to city. Atlas was obviously the most discriminatory, she knew that first hand.

"I agree." Mr. Chambers changed his computer's screen back to its homepage. "The Empire Eighty-Eight is one of the largest Nazi-inspired gangs this side of the coast, and they have connections in Germany." His voice was serious now. "A German name in Brockton Bay won't earn you fans, the ones that you're going to want that is." Racism never changed, just the victims, but that didn't mean she was going to let a bunch of racist decide what she was going to do.

"Everyone will know my real name anyways, Edelweiss stays." Weiss shrugged. She was used to people hating her name. The Empire, they sounded like a group that preyed on the fears of others. That's how it was back home, with people like Father who didn't personally hate the faunus, but used said hate in order to advance their own purpose. People always liked a scrapegoat when they didn't want to admit their own faults, or other problems. "And isn't refusing my decision because it's a German word racist as well?"

Racism was a two way street that escalated if left untreated, and just like back home, Weiss was sure that people could change. It took Ruby, Yang and Blake diving into her mind after a Grimm implanted itself in her heart, but Weiss got rid of her tendencies. Mostly, if she wasn't careful she would have allowed a slur to slip whenever she fought the White Fang out of habit.

"Touche." Mr. Chamber said dryly, a hint of sarcasm in his voice. "You'll have to add something to your debut speech, to tell people you aren't a skinhead. And you're giving me more work to do." He gave up too easily, was there something else behind all of this?

"Of course." Weiss shrugged. If German names had a bad reputation because of the local gangs, then she would help change that. "You are getting paid to do all of this I assume."

If a Schnee could become friends with a former White Fang terrorist, then anything was possible.

After her meeting with Glenn, Weiss found herself back in her room. It wasn't like she had anywhere else to go for peace and quiet, she still get a chance to explore the city itself. She would have to ask Dean if his girlfriend would be willing to be her guide, even though she much prefered Missy's company, she also didn't want to put the younger girl's identity at risk. These American 'Heroes' really liked keeping their identities a secret. She didn't even know Victoria Dallon, and it hurt Weiss' pride having to ask a complete stranger for help.

"I wanna go home." Weiss mumbled as she laid on her bed, her loose white hair sprawled around her, eyes drawn towards the screen of her new phone. It was inferior to her scroll in every way, but at least it was replaceable. Her scroll full of photos and video was priceless.

If she was going to be a protector of these people, Weiss wasn't worthy enough to be called a hero, then she would need to learn more about them. She didn't know anything about the city, the gangs, or the people. American culture was different, and there were still phrases and idioms that she still didn't understand.

This would have been more bearable if Ruby was here, she made everything better.

Weiss turned the phone's screen off and threw it to the side, landing on the mattress. She reached for her decorative pillow to wrap her arms around it, when she paused just as her fingers touched the soft fabric.

What was she doing?

What would the others say if they found Weiss in her current state? Curled up on a bed that wasn't hers, moping around all day as she waited for things to happen. She had been here for almost a whole week, but she still hasn't even done anything to fix part of her predicament, like her clothes.

They wouldn't even recognize her.

Weiss balled her hands into a fist and sat up, her hair draping her face like curtains. She was a Schnee, former Heiress to the Schnee Dust Company, the biggest company on Remnant, and she was a member of Team RWBY, the strongest team at Beacon Academy, despite any arguments Nora may bring up. Jaune really brought their team average down, but at least he wasn't trying to ask her out every five minutes. She stood up slowly, and grabbed the pair of ugly sneakers that had been provided for her, slipping them on with ease.

Not even five minutes later, she found herself back in the Ward common room, Dean and Chris sitting near the kitchenette which gave them a clear view of the television.

"Hey Weiss." Dean said, most of his attention diverted to his phone while Chris entertained himself with cartoons. Each of them had a bowl of cereal in front of their seats.

"Dean, Chris." Weiss said politely as she made her way towards them. Chris gave a slight wave, looking away after a half second of eye contact, which was weird. Dean looked up from his phone and gave her a small smile. Weiss' stomach started to hurt, she didn't like asking people for favors in general.

"Dean, can I ask you for a favor?"

"I really don't understand why you're dragging me along." Amy muttered under her breath as Vicky carried her through the air. It's not that she didn't like hanging out with her sister, far from it, it was the fact that she liked it too much.

"Dean asked me for a favor!" Vicky smirked as they finally landed onto the beautiful concrete. As nice as it was to be flying with Victoria, nothing could ever beat the solid ground. "Apparently one of the new Wards plans on unmasking herself, and she needs help buying clothes. She's new to town and needs a guide to show her around."

And she couldn't buy them herself or go out with the other Wards because? Amy kept that part to herself, biting her tongue as they walked into the PRT HQ.

"Did Prince Charming mention how she looks?" Amy said instead, her voice bored and annoyed. This was going to be a waste of time. They walked past the second set of doors, a few tourist already pointing at them.

"He said we'll know her as soon as we see her." Vicky said, scanning the lobby. Amy sighed and followed her lead. Let's see, random PRT officer at the front desk, a random Armsmaster cosplayer with a cardboard halberd, a group of tourist walking towards the gift shop and a-

That girl, Amy, had seen her before. She stood near one of the vending machines, staring at it with her long white hair done in a messy ponytail. While unconscious she was pretty, but awake and not dying, she looked gorgeous. Not as gorgeous as Vicky of course, but attractive enough to get more than a few stares from other visitors.

"I'm guessing that's her. Let's go!" Vicky grabbed her wrist, pulling her along. Amy could see why she needed help buying clothes, even with her limited fashion sense. Those PRT issued shoes were extremely ugly, even it she looked like a Disney princess.

"Excuse me!" Vicky said with a large smile. The white haired girl who Amy had healed just a few days ago turned her head, staring at them with sapphire blue eyes. It was still hard to believe that she was all natural, but that should be a given since she was from another world, despite whatever Armsmaster said. "The lion sleeps tonight."

Ah, the code that Vicky had given Dean so they could find out if that was actually the girl. Miss Perfect's resting bitch face didn't help much as she frowned.

"Aweem away." Her voice was soft, and it had a slight accent. Was that German? Oh great…

"Yay!" Vicky grinned. "I'm Victoria, and this is my sister Amy." Vicky pushed her closer. The shorter girl's RBF disappeared as she formed a small smile.

"A pleasure to meet you, my name is Weiss Schnee."

A/N

This was supposed to be released yesterday, but some stuff came up so it was delayed. Hopefully it being a tad longer than usual makes up for it.

Time to debate whether I should also make a spotify playlist for the story, since Weiss will definitely be singing.
