When the last guest of the evening had left and all the cleaning up had been done, Kelly and Tim took another swim to unwind and relax. They enjoyed the cuddling together in the water, still wary of their environment and their surroundings, not letting themselves get too carried away. The couple were intertwined with one another as they enjoyed being in each other's arms in the bouncy of the water. Another couple had slipped downstairs and joined them in the pool, at the opposite end of the pool and there was a lone person swimming laps in the far lap lane. "Let's go upstairs." Tim whispered into her ear, his breath on her ear hot, eliciting a shiver in her body.
Tim had a surprise planned upstairs, so he wanted Kelly nice and relaxed. They made their way upstairs, ensuring to lock their front door behind them. Both of them stripped off their wet things and dropped them and their towels into the laundry basket that Tim had left by the door. He had wrapped them both up in the fresh towels, he'd left by the door to keep them warm too, as they made their way through the apartment to their bedroom.
As soon as they were both safely sequestered in their bedroom, Kelly dropped her towel and slowly took Tim's towel from his person too, dropping them on the sofa in their bedroom. Tim busied himself with the champagne bottle in the ice bucket on the reading table and poured two glasses from the bottle he had chilling there. The strawberries Tim had already sat the glass, floating to the top, made Kelly smile when he handed a glass over to her.
"What's the occasion?" Kelly asked, with a smile as she stepped closer to him. When they'd entered the room and she'd taken the towels, neither one had rushed to put clothes on. They both were confident and comfortable enough to stay naked in front of one another.
"Happy Anniversary, Sweetheart." Tim said with a cheeky grin as he clinked his glass with hers. "A week ago today, we were drunk and made the best decision of our lives."
"Happy Anniversary." Kelly smiled in return, clinking her glass against Tim's. She gave him a chaste kiss on the lips and a small sexy grin. "I have a confession to make." she whispered to him softly.
"What's that?" he asked, taking a mouthful of champagne.
"I wore that black dress with you in mind. Linda told me that you were the best man, and I was planning on seducing you, but I chickened out, at the last minute."
Tim grinned at her confession, he too had known she was the maid of honour, he had flirted with her to irk Tony, knowing he'd flip out. "I'd say you succeeded; you asked me to marry you." Tim replied, with a smirk. "I actually like you a lot. I was planning to test the waters and ask you for a dance at the wedding. My rationale being if the dance went well, maybe we could have gone for coffee."
"Instead, we went straight for the marriage." she laughed. "God Tim, I like you too, a lot. We've always had a great time together. We have fun and we laugh together."
"We flirt, or at least I tried. I suck at it, so you probably didn't pick up on it." Tim told her.
"We flirted a lot." Kelly reiterated. "The day dad came home from Mexico, and we were working in the garden? You had let me get you down the ground and I was straddling you. If you hadn't of seen dad, I could have kissed you, but I was still with Nate. I hadn't seen him all summer and you were there. You were always willing to help, so eager to help me out and such a good friend during that tough time. I am so grateful I had your help; I don't know what I'd have done within you, thank you. "
"Thank you for staying married to me. " Tim replied, turning the conversation serious, as he clinked glasses with her. "We could have filed for divorce without a second thought, and no one would have batted an eyelid at either one of us."
Kelly refilled their glasses and handed Tim's back to him. "Here's to impulsive decisions and great sex." Kelly laughed as they toasted. "Really great, energetic, enthusiastic, mind blowingly hot sex." Kelly continued, her voice low and husky, her cheeks a bright red blush.
"Kelly?" Tim whimpered quietly as he stepped closer to her, their bodies touched. Tim's semi-hard penis jerking in want, trying to reach out and touch Kelly's stomach. He reached down and kissed her, putting all of his feelings into the kiss.
"Tim?" she asked in a desire laden whisper. "I've always struggled to articulate what I am feeling into words. Especially if it's... What I mean is... Tim, you're the best person I've ever..." Tim stopped her speaking. He put his finger over her lips.
"I love you, Kelly." Tim declared, truthfully. "I know it's fast, probably too fast. But I can't help the way I feel. It snuck up on me."
"I love you, too." Kelly answered, kissing him hard. Their teeth gnashing as they both tried to gain control of the kiss. Pulling back from the kiss, Kelly took both of the champagne flutes and put them with the almost empty champagne bottle on the reading table. Turning back to look at Tim, her eyes wide with lust and soft with love and admiration. "God, I love you, too." she reiterated with a sexy smile as she approached him.
"We're crazy, you know that, right?" he asked with a chuckle as he drew her into his arms.
"When you know, you know. Then you look and leap with both feet." she told him, reaching up to kiss him again. A kiss they both happily shared together before Tim slowly lowered her onto the bed.
"I bought us something special." Tim told her, as he whispered in her ear. "Bought us that massage oil that goes with that raspberry honey dust we were enjoying last night. Lay yourself down, face down on the bed. Going to massage you until you're a sated pile of goo."
Kelly complied eagerly, she'd never had a lover as attentive to her body as Tim was to her body and it turned her libido on. As she lay down, she threw him a look over her shoulder. Suddenly she felt the warm oil on her foot, followed by Tim's long and strong fingers, massaging her foot and her toes deeply, before moving to the other foot.
Before she could moan and writhe in ecstasy, Tim was astride her body, his erect penis begging entry into her hot wet channel. His hands working the raspberry flavoured oil into her skin. His mouth, leaving hot and wet kisses in its wake.
"God Tim." Kelly keened, almost begging. She wriggled her body to try to get his hard cock to rut against her wet slit, more directly.
"Mmm." Tim replied as his lips were now on the back of her neck. "You taste delicious. Time for you to roll over."
He started massaging the top of her foot, before moving on to her ankles and up her shins. As he made it to her knees, she spread her legs wide open. As he continued upwards towards her thigh and groin, he moved to her shoulder, his now granite hard penis leaking pre-cum now leaking out of it.
As he leaned over her, the head rutted against her clitoris, causing her to buck against him in pleasure. All of her nerve endings were on fire as she keened and begged. "Make love to me, Tim." He reached for some more oil and started on her shoulders and neck, as the head of his penis slipped inside her wet cavern. "God yes!" she cried out, feeling him enter her, her legs wrapping around his waist, pushing him deeper.
He kissed her as if his life depended on it. A life preserver to a drowning man. Kelly reached up and interlaced her fingers around Tim's neck and hung on as he pumped himself in and out of her, both moaning in pure bliss. "Not going to last too long, Kell!" Tim panted out as he pistoned his hips on the inwards thrust.
Three thrusts later, Kelly was tumbling over the precipice, two thrusts after that, Tim climaxed hard, his body shaking as he emptied his seed inside her. His semen coating the inner walls of her womanhood. "Wow!" she exclaimed, as Tim's body collapsed on top of her.
He tried to lift himself off her, but Kelly locked her legs around his waist and rested her arms on the back of his neck. "Kell, let me up. I'm heavy, sweetheart."
"You're fine, babe." she said, she was enjoying the closeness the two of them were sharing and the feel of his lax genitals still inside her. "Stay."
Monday morning came earlier than either of them were prepared for. Tim walked into the bullpen at 0600 hours as usual. He was tired, but not any more than usual. He loved coming in at this hour of the day, booting up his computer, he also pulled out the cold case he had been working g on last, intending to pick it up where he left off. He could enjoy the peace and quiet before the chaos of the day unfolded.
He and Kelly had spent the majority of the night before last making love, over and over, not venturing far from their bed on Sunday before enjoying a bubble bath together, relaxing in their main bathroom together. Getting a pizza for dinner, they watched a movie and went to sleep curled up around one another. They had shared lots of "I love you's" too and expressed their feelings through their lovemaking.
"Morning." Gibbs said as he strode into the bullpen. He took in Tim's early morning appearance. Tim was focused on the case files in front of him, his coffee now cold.
"Morning, Boss." Tim said, not looking up. Gibbs thought this was strange behaviour from Tim. He was normally so polite and always looked at the person he was spoke to.
Gibbs booted up his workstation and went back to Tim's desk and sat on the edge of it. "Are you ok Tim?" he asked, keeping his voice low. He didn't usually call him Tim at work, choosing to keep that for outside of work, especially now it was looking like he and Kelly would be staying married.
"Fine." Tim answered absentmindedly. "Boss?" he asked, finally registering that his boss was looking for more than a generic answer. He met Gibbs' eyes. "I promise that I'm OK, really. But something's really bothering me about this case."
"What have you got?" he asked, as he moved around to look at Tim's computer to see what was bothering Tim about this case. "How can the main person of interest be deemed no longer a suspect, if they were in the vicinity of the crime scene, had the means, motive and opportunity?"
"I smell a cover up, Tim." Gibbs told him and Tim nodded along with him. "Let's go notify Vance and ask him how he wants us to proceed."
Gibbs and Tim headed up the staircase to the Director's office on the level above. He was at his desk and definitely not expecting the two MCRT men. Gibbs encouraged Tim to explain what he had found when studying the cold case of "Weren't you two at each other's throats just a week ago?" Vance asked, exasperated, but with a smile at how it'd only taken a week for Gibbs to accept Tim as his daughter's husband. "Now you two want to question a former SecNav, Clayton Jarvis of covering up a murder."
"We're just saying that it's a lead worth pursuing." Tim told him, truthfully.
"Former Agent Stewart should have investigated this angle, in the very beginning. It's a huge angle and was blatantly ignored." Gibbs said, backing Tim up. "We'll be speaking to him, too."
Vance informed them, to keep him abreast of the situation and to work the case. They would come off rotation, read Ziva and Tony in and then, work the case, especially now it was heating up.
Going back downstairs, he was surprised to come in and find Ziva and Tony in the bullpen. A whole twenty-five minutes earlier than usual. Gibbs indicated for everyone to follow, using his index finger. Inside the conference room, he had Tim read them in, before assigning tasks to each member of the team. He wanted the background information on every suspect upfront, eliminating the chance to be caught off guard.
Tim was on the cyber trail of Agent Stewart, finding out what he had been looking up online, prior to getting the case. As well as his working on his background at NCIS. Tony was working on his other cases, were there any other cases that were like this one. Where the lead witness ended up dead. Ziva was working the terrorism and mob angle through his family or was it monetary gains? Gibbs was working on his old NIS contacts that were still alive, who knew Agent Stewart at the time of the alleged crime. That case kept them busy for the first three full days of the week, in the lead up to Isaac's wedding.
Very early Thursday morning at 0045 hours, Tim and Kelly let themselves into the Gibbs family home. The electrical storm that had been raging outside since 2200 the night before had taken out two of the largest transformer stations in Maryland and two thirds of the state had no power. Kelly had managed to talk Tim into heading to her father's house.
Gibbs had been working in the basement and had been surprised to hear the front door. Especially with a storm like the one that had just passed though still lingering. Going upstairs cautiously, he stopped short when he heard the door open again and this time, low voices greeting one another.
Peeking into the kitchen, he saw that Ziva was coming in the door and Kelly and Tim were already here. Putting the pieces of the puzzle together, he figured he could probably expect Tobias to arrive at some point soon. He headed upstairs to pull down the old inflatable mattresses that they used for camping.
Upstairs had always been off limits to overnight guests, with one room he never used now, a room full of storage boxes and Kelly's room that had no bed in it, he wasn't giving up his sofa.
"Ziva, unless you're all sleeping on the floor, better inflate two of these for you all to sleep on." Gibbs instructed her as he came back downstairs. He had bought one down for Tobias, figuring if Tony wasn't here too then there must be still power in Georgetown.
Tobias came through the door just as Ziva had finished inflating the second one and quipped a thank you to Ziva as the wind outside picked up and began howling. "Here, this is all the blankets and pillows we have." Kelly said as here and Tim came back in, arms laden with supplies.
Gibbs went down to the basement and came up with a couple of torches, a portable radio and some candles. He and Tobias started a small fire in the fireplace. Although it was summer, the storm had bought a cool change with it and there was a nip in the air.
With the sofa pushed back and three air mattresses all lined up along the floor, with a mass of pillows, blankets and warm bodies littered around, Gibbs claimed his sofa, and everyone settled in, but no one really sleeping.
The front door opening again and quickly closing had Gibbs on his feet for the final air mattress upstairs and an old sleeping bag. "Slumber party?" Tony quipped as he dropped his go bag and carried his pillow into the room.
"Something like that." Tobias muttered as Tim pulled Kelly closer on the single sized mattress they were sharing.
"With the storm outside, it's more like a summer camp, no?" Ziva asked Tony.
Tobias laughed at Ziva's observation; she was actually spot on. He had once compared staying with Gibbs to summer camp. "Spot on, Ziva." he murmured in confirmation and looked over to the mattress on the other side of him to see how the newlyweds were going, it had to be a tight fit for them, as it was a tight fit for one adult.
But Tim and Kelly were happily snuggled into another. Soon enough, four air mattresses were now lined up and DiNozzo had joined the refuge on Gibbs' floor.
Gibbs watched them all from his vantage point on the sofa. He had scattered the large pillar candles around the room, lighting up a couple, knowing that they're generally pretty good at burning for hours and hours without incident. The fireplace was barely burning now, mostly embers having died down and taken the chill out of the air.
The rain suddenly pelted the roof and front windows as Ziva jumped. He had never known her to be scared of anything, but he had listened as Tony had leaned over and offered her physical comfort. Tobias was being lulled into dreamland by the soothing sounds. Tim and Kelly were already sound asleep, the couple were intertwined to the point where it was hard to tell where one began and the other ended.
He closed his eyes for a moment and reflected on Kelly, and Tim, by default. They seemed more content and settled than they had on Saturday. There was an easiness that wasn't there before, not that there had been any awkwardness, either. In fact, he couldn't recall any awkwardness between the couple since before they were married.
'Married. She was really married.' Gibbs thought to himself. 'Tim was her husband.' Gibbs wasn't sure when they had fallen in love with one another, or how. But now he knew, he couldn't stick his head in the sand and pretend he didn't know.
He awoke at 0530, the storm was still raging outside, and the floor dwellers were all still asleep. Tobias was stirring, as was Ziva and Tim. He made his way into he kitchen and went to start his coffee only the find the storm had knocked his power out overnight too. Grumbling, he went upstairs into the camping gear he had stored in the spare room and pulled out his old, battered camp coffee pot. As he pepped the coffee and used the lighter to light the stove, he had the coffee going in no time at all. Once he had the first cup poured, he headed to the shower, not willing to be the one that ends up with the cold shower this morning.
After his shower, he found Tobias waiting for the bathroom to shower next, cup in hand too. Coming downstairs, he found Ziva cooking breakfast. Frying eggs and cooking toast over the open flame on the stove. Tim and Kelly were folding up the air mattresses and Tony was still blissfully slumbering away.
When Tobias came out, Ziva slipped in the bathroom and he noticed that for the first time that morning, Tim and Kelly were actually dressed for work. "Dad, we showered last night." Kelly explained to her father's unasked question. "Before the storm knocked out the power."
Tony finally surfaced for coffee, toast and a shower. Gibbs was pleasantly surprised by the fact that the conversation had been kept to a minimum all morning.
Kelly kissed Tim goodbye, lingering close by with secretive smiles and shared looks as she took her car and headed back to the apartment to grab her laptop and do something she rarely did, commute into her seldom used office in the city. Ziva and Tim carpooled and headed straight for NCIS HQ.
Gibbs and Tobias headed off to the diner to check on Elaine, while Tony followed the two other agents into work.
The boys were quite buzzed, they had a half comp day, and they were in a hurry to get the final piece of their case in place so they could start all the wedding stuff they had to get done in the next day and a half.
By 1400, the case was solved, the reports were written, and the boys were bidding Gibbs and Ziva goodbye as they were out the door and off the clock now. Tony and Isaac were staying at Tim's tomorrow night. Luckily, Tim had received the message from the super that the power was back on. The boys had been to the tailors and picked up their suits for Saturday before each heading for their respective homes.
Tim had been working very hard in his office, his fingers frantically typing on his typewriter when Kelly came home. Kelly watched Tim for a minute as he seemed to be lost in his own world, before she left him be. She was fairly certain that he wasn't working on anything for NCIS, it was more likely to be either a letter to his father or something for his new book.
When he came out of his office, Kelly took in how tired and emotionally exhausted Tim looked. She hugged him tightly, feeling his body relax against hers, as he held on to her. "It's done, Sweetheart." He sighed, taking an audible breath and releasing it, trying to rid his body of the stress as he went. "I wrote him, I'll put it in the post on Monday."
"Come on Tim, let's shower and get ready for tonight." Kelly urged, leading him into their bathroom, stripping him off and getting him under the stream of hot water.
Tim dressed in his light grey suit; the one he had bought when he was drunk and married Kelly in Vegas. But he added a thin Black silk tie, as Jack and Irene Santorini had organised the rehearsal dinner to be where the wedding would be held, at the Alexandria Country Club where they were members. Kelly was wearing a tight, black three-quarter length cocktail dress, with simple plain straps. Her long golden auburn hair was pinned up in a half and loosely curled down her back.
As they arrived at the country club, the valet took the keys for the Porsche from Tim and Tim escorted Kelly from his car.
Linda called out to them, seeing them arrive. The wedding ceremony itself was to be held underneath the cherry blossom trees that overlooked the blue lake. "This is beautiful." Kelly told her best friend, looking around at the pristine gardens and trees in full bloom.
The rehearsal went off without incident and even Tony had kept all remarks to himself before they went into the restuarant for dinner. Tim and Kelly were both expected to make a speech and their speeches were well received.
It wasn't until they were back in the Porsche on the way back to the home, they shared together that Tim told Kelly what he had been thinking since they left the apartment earlier in the evening. "I've been thinking..."Tim began. "I promised you a honeymoon, but maybe we should have a wedding ceremony too. What do you think?"
Kelly grinned wide at Tim's suggestion. "Are you actually asking me to marry you? I thought we were already married." She loved the idea.
"I was thinking something small, in a garden or something. Somewhere your dad can walk you down the aisle, maybe Ducky can officiate. It won't be a legal wedding, because we're already married. But something where we can share some vowels and in front of our friends and family." Tim explained, in a hurry. "Maybe prove to those that still doubt us, that we really are in love with each other."
"I think it's a great idea. But let's keep it small and intimate." She told him. "Just a few friends, family and the team? Then we can head off on the real honeymoon you promised me."
"Maybe we should talk about the future before we plan anything else." Tim suggested, softly. He knew she wanted children eventually, as did he.
"You're talking about having children, right? Because we both know I want to be a mother eventually. But not right now."
"I wasn't talking about taking you upstairs and impregnating you, right at this moment." He joked. "I was talking about in the coming months and years together."
"Tim, I love you." She declared, as he parked their car in their designated spot in the underground car park. "I can't wait to have a family with you, but I need to be in my job for a little bit longer before we try."
"I love you too, Kell." He said, kissing her chastely on the lips. "This isn't coming out right. What I am trying to say is, I'm ready, whenever you're ready. But I'd like to have the ceremony and a honeymoon first."
"Sounds like a plan to me."
