Next day, Mia Zor-El is trained by her father who is the Green Arrow in somewhere peace and quiet where nothing can detect these two training.
"Dad, are these collars necessary? They make me look like a pet.", Mia complained.
"Yes, they are necessary. You wouldn't wanna hurt your old man, would you?", Green Arrow said.
"Uh, firstly, you are a Hyliansapien. My point being your species age very slowly. Second, mentioning what you are, you could be an old man in a hundred years. Third, I've seen your ass beaten by strong people, mom included. You grin and bear.", Mia said.
"Kara really needs to stop talking about our past.", Oliver muttered.
"And fourth, I am not understanding what does this have to do with the collars.", Mia said.
"You'll see.", Oliver said, smiling. He readies his fighting stance. "Start!". Mia charged at Oliver. Mia throws her fist as though she is being careless. Oliver dodged Mia's punch, and punched Mia. He then tossed Mia away.
"Ow! What gives?!", Mia exclaimed in shock while trying to endure the pain. She then notices her collars are green. "Kryptonite emitters?".
"Used to weaken you, to make you as vulnerable as me.", Oliver said.
"Shit!". Mia stands going to Oliver.
Both fighters threw fists at one another until Oliver floored Mia. Mia becomes persistent, trying to hit Oliver. Oliver finishes this fight by throwing Mia metres away.
"Dad, these training seems pointless. I can bend hard objects with ease, I can carry hard objects these people would struggle to carry, and I am durable.", Mia said.
"Because Mia... you need to prepare for anything. Those superheroes out there you look up to, they have weaknesses. Like your mother, you have weaknesses to. These supervillains can exploit your weaknesses, which is why you should not be heedless.", Oliver explained.
Mia doesn't want to believe every enemy of a superhero would use the heroes' weaknesses to give them an advantage.
"Your father is right."
Mia turned, seeing Kara out of nowhere. She must've flied all the way here, Mia strongly presumed.
"Superman and I. We are the toughest bullies around the whole world. But in reality, we're easier to crack. I was once captured by Lex Luthor who used a stash of kryptonite to make use of my weakness. I was nearly killed if it wasn't for Martian Manhunter saving me. I realized I needed to be ready for when the next enemy decides to make use of my weaknesses. I needed to learn how to fight while facing different circumstances.", Kara reflected.
"So, that's why you took lessons from Batman.", Mia comprehended. "You met with dad around the same time you were training with Batman.".
"Yeah, and?"
"Oliver could've taught you how to fight, why get trained by Batman?", Mia asked curiously.
"If anyone can teach you how to fight while vulnerable, it's him.", Kara answered. She turns to Oliver. "Anyway, I believe you have training still in progress.".
Mia nodded. She returns her focus to training.
Kara watches Oliver teaching Mia hand-to-hand combat. She smiled at the sight of Mia's progress. By the end of this day, Mia will be an expert in hand-to-hand combat. She's a quick learner. Kara wouldn't need to wait years, only days she needs to wait until Mia can be a superhero.
A/N: Part of creating this chapter of the story was inspired from the first episodes of Supergirl Season 1 I saw where Kara was trained by his sister, Alex Danvers.
I may have forgotten to mention Oliver Queen and his kind are not written as humans in the story. In addition, they are not living on Earth. It's a different planet him and the other superheroes inhabit in. The reason for this change is because I have a plan for a saga I am working on. I won't reveal to you yet. But until this story completes that's when I will share a bit of my ideas regarding the saga.
