Five criminals attempted to invade the bank. They stopped due to the police stopping them which prompted them to use lethal force. Each side exchanged shots at each other until one side runs out of ammunition. One of the criminals threw a grenade at a police. She would've died, but is swept away from harm by someone fast. That female officer thought it was Supergirl. She was wrong. Nevertheless that fast lady seems to support the police, she's attacking the criminals.

The criminals fired at the masked lady. Their weapons didn't harm her. The girl landed, swiftly putting two criminals to the ground. She speeds up to one criminal tossing him away. The last criminal tried to flee, but is stopped by her. That last criminal attempted to fight her with fists. His fist hit the female, but it was the criminal that experienced agony as though he punched a wall so hard. The masked lady knocked the criminal to unconscious.

Acknowledging every criminal is defeated, the masked female gestured for the police to come here as it's safe to arrest them. She then flied away, watched and recorded by civilians.

The woman arrives on a rooftop. She unmasks herself revealing that it was Mia who got herself involved to stop the criminals. "First time not failing..", Mia said. She nears the ledge as she tests two abilities. Her mom hasn't taught her yet about these abilities. It's x-ray vision and magnifying her sight. She finds another crime is taking place. It's one of those enhanced individuals that have powers. This criminal has reddish, stony skin. "It's Brick, one of Green Arrow's enemies, and Aunt Thea's apparently.".

Brick attacks a transport. His intention is to steal what's inside the transport. The cops tried to push him back with their weapons. But Brick continued striving to reach that transport. "No one's going to stop me from getting what I want!", Brick shouted. He threw multiple vehicles at the cops and a flying vehicle. Some of the cops jumped out of the flying vehicle avoiding harm. "Haha, expected more of a challenge!". Suddenly, Brick gets struck from behind causing him to fly forward hitting a pavement.

"You have on right here.", Mia assured Brick.

"Huh.", Brick snorted. He sees a girl levitating. "I was expecting the female red archer. She and I are due for a reckoning.".

"Well, she's not here.", Mia said.

"Then that's too bad.", Brick laughed. Unexpectedly, Mia punched Brick sending him crashing multiple buildings.

Mia realized he didn't think about who might be in the buildings. She checks if anyone is there, and sighed in relief once she acknowledges no one was there. She turned to Brick. She flied toward Brick striking him away.

As Brick flied away, Mia struck him multiple times. She then throws Brick away. Brick collided with a number of flying vehicles before hitting a structure. Brick falls to a ground creating a crater.

"You might as well give up.", Mia advised.

"What even are you?", Brick said.

"Supergirl.", Mia answered.

"Name's already taken.", Brick said.

"Well, I'll think about the name when I beat you.", Mia said. She flies toward Brick.

Brick finally dodged though barely. He then pulled Mia to him and threw her to numerous vehicles in the sky.

After getting thrown, Mia had risen and flied toward Brick. He bulldozed Brick into a shop. And finally she knocked Brick unconscious. She apologized the people working there before dragging Brick out.

"I shouldn't take my mother's name. Maybe 'Ass Kicker', no... too childish. What are you thinking?", Mia said to herself.

"You look ridiculous."

Mia looks up, perceiving with eyes Supergirl floating above her. Oh shit, she thought.

Supergirl's comment is about Mia's costume. She wears a ski mask and civilian clothes.

"Let's get outta here.", Supergirl said.

Mia left Brick's unconscious body to the police. She followed Supergirl. They arrived at a rooftop.

Kara had a dissatisfied expression. "Honestly. I think you might have skipped a few steps, Mia.", Supergirl said.

"Seemed to work out just fine.", Mia said.

Supergirl disagrees with her while she glances at the destruction Mia made in the city with her powers when she was fighting Brick. "It may not look like much. But you did far more damage down there than you needed to. I don't think you're ready.", Supergirl commented.

"I know you think I can't do this, but I'm trying, mom. These powers are the greatest thing that ever happened in my life. I want to use them to help people, to make you and dad proud."

"Oh, Mia, even without powers that doesn't mean we don't love you.", Supergirl said softly.

"Being a superhero, it's all I ever wanted as long as I remember. This is my chance to show you my greatest achievement: become a superhero. I want to be like you and dad, mom, I wanna do what you both do. I wanna be just like you.", Mia said.

Kara comes forward and hugs Mia. She smiled. "You will be, Mia. You will.", she assured her. They parted. "Let me make this up to you.". She subsequently flies. She glanced Mia. "Follow me.".

Mia followed Kara as they flied out of the rooftop.

Mia perceived Kara was taking them away from Starling National City. They are in an icy region.

"Uh, mom, where are we going?", Mia asked.

"Can't tell you the surprise if it is the surprise.", Kara said.

Once they are close enough, Mia could see a structure made of icy crystals protruding. "We're flying toward a crystal castle?", Mia said.

"It's not any kind of castle, Mia. This is a Fortress of Solitude.", Kara revealed.

"Fortress of Solitude?!", Mia exclaimed in great surprise. "You're taking me to you and Superman's base.".

Kara smiled.

They entered the Fortress of Solitude. Inside, Mia meets a man with a robotic arm. He and Supergirl hugged briefly, and parted.

"Were you seen?", the man asked.

"Who are you talking to?", Supergirl asked.

"Someone faster than a speeding bullet.", the man joked.

"Keep joking."

"Sorry, sorry. Just needed to ask. I know fortress detects life forms. So far, I only discovered two life forms entered."

"And what would your plan be? You're a few steps ahead.", Supergirl said.

"Kryptonite bombs.", he answered. He noticed Mia's shocked look. "I was kidding. Clark and Kara wouldn't keep a cache of kryptonite. Their weaknesses would easily be exploited.". He looked at Mia, and smiled at her. "You must be Mia, Oliver and Kara's daughter. Boy, it's so nice to meet you. I've heard a lot about you.".

"Okay.", Mia said awkwardly. She is disturbed by this man's dual voice. "I don't mean to offend you, but you sound like two people speaking at the same time.".

"Yeah, it's because I'm not really one person in this body.", the man divulged.

Mia is in awe.

"Mia, I would like you to meet my old friend. Two friends, actually. They are Winslow Schott Jr. and Braniac 5 that are sharing the same body.", Kara introduced.

"Same body?", Mia perplexed.

"You remember Lex Luthor and Braniac merged?", Supergirl said. Mia nodded. "Basically the same thing.".

"Oh.", Mia said, understanding now that Winslow Schott Jr. and Braniac 5 are a fused person. "When did that happen?".

"I... don't feel comfortable talking about it."

"Sorry.", Mia apologized.

"Don't be."

"So how should I call you as?"

"Querin is my name. I merged the names of two entities into one.", the fused entity of Winn and Brainiac 5 said.

"Okay.", Mia understands. She then sees suits set in costume display gallery. She recognises most of them. "Aren't those the suits you wore over the past decades of your time, mom?".

"Yes.", Supergirl answered.

Mia started to realize why they are here. "I'm getting a new suit?", Mia asked, excited.

"Why else would you mother bring you here?", Querin said rhetorically.

"Good point.", Mia said. "Um, you have it ready or does it take time to make a suit?".

"Oh, building a Supersuit won't require that much time.", Querin assured her. "I just need a little help from you.".

"Okay."

"Making a suit is about a person's liking. Like... your father needed a suit that would guarantee he would be less harmed, White Canary required a costume with more weaponry to aid her in combating enemies she can't manage, and your mom needed a suit fitting for war.", Querin explained. "What do you desire for your new suit?".

"Only thing I need would be to have my identity concealed.", Mia said.

"First time I've heard that from a Kryptonian.", Querin said.

"Unfortunately my friends have seen my face. They will know I'm a superhero."

"Okay.", Querin said. "Is that all?".

"I'd say use it as your first suit, Mia. Every superhero has a first suit before they change.", Kara advised.

"All right.", Mia said.

Querin starts building the suit for Mia.

Returning to Starling National City with a new suit Mia donned, she went across the streets battling criminals and supervillains, and protecting civilians. Finally Mia became what she fantasized: being a superhero like her parents.

After her heroic activities, Mia perches on the ledge watching the flying vehicles passing, and civilians walking on footpath. She smiled feeling grateful she has these powers. She can't wait to tell her father about her being a superhero. She's certain her mother would be proud of her.

A/N: The idea of Winslow Schott Jr. and Braniac merging came from Justice League episode showing Lex Luthor and Braniac merged, which was mentioned by Supergirl in the chapter. This is to show how characters evolved after decades of doing what they do.
