The three red armored Elites floated down the purple beam. One of them came down to the main deck and started messing with the control panel.

I knew they were going to be an invaluable asset against the Brutes for sure, but I had to admit, even with the threat of impending doom looming in the near future, they made me a bit uneasy. It had only taken one of these guys and a handful of cannon fodder to make four specially selected ODSTs seem hilariously out of their league. I pushed my uneasiness aside and reasoned that if they really wanted to take the Scarab for themselves, we wouldn't have even made it off the platform. At least I wouldn't have anyways.

Sarge's voice boomed from the Scarab's external speakers, "I don't have a line of sight on that Wraith. Get on over there and take him out!"

The Phantom led its Banshee escorts across the valley to where a Wraith was launching mortars from behind a huge boulder. The Phantom stopped directly above it and spat oblong bubbles of crimson plasma onto it from a triple set of mounted turrets. Wildcat and I whooped and cheered at the sight of our new air support in action and the Scarab rocked to life as Johnson diverted power from the cannon to its legs, got us on the move.

A/N: Am I the only one that's noticed this odd trend of tryin destroy beloved fan franchises? Of course not. They've ripped every world a new one from Halo to Star Wars. Nothing is sacred these days. But I do seem to be the only one whose noticed the latest franchise that's been a proverbial target for a while. Our British badass, the one and only, James Bond.

I'm seeing all kinds of pitches. What about a girl Bond? What about a black Bond? How about Bond in drag? Like people, people. Stop. This is what those Rings of Power goons are getting wrong. You can't just come in and alter a character at the fundamental level, call it an original idea, and then leech off an unearned fanbase of people who are expecting certain characters to be portayed in certain ways or else it just doesn't feel like that character. At that point why not make an original character?

I'll be the one to say it. Daniel Craig is James Bond. Not only is he currently James Bond, he is James Bond in the same way that RDJ is Iron Man. Yet people are like hellbent on not giving this man his credit and literally cannot wait for a reboot of something that is currently happening as we speak. Why can't we appreciate what we already have? Besides, we all know once a new team picks up the property it's gonna suck donkeydick and these espionage movies [the only competition for Mission Impossible (Bourne is pretty much done by now, and we're never getting a Sam Fisher movie) in my opinion] will fade criminally into obscurity.
