Reader: The idea for Elekid came the Battle Frontier episode where Ash and his friends met an Elekid. As well as taking some inspiration from the episode in Johto where they met a Mareep farmer who took their Mareep out in a lightning storm in order for the Mareep to absorb the electricity.
That was a hydroelectric plant, well I will still come in handing, but yes. As for Ash skipping Brock, I'm not going to do that but I do love your idea of Ash getting an Eevee from Bill. As well, as your Zapdos idea. Also, the idea of Ash training with Surge I good, but that can wait till he gets all 8 badges. Though use Surge to introduce Elesa is a great idea. Never like G-Max Pikachu, and even the anime hasn't used it since its debut. He'll have two Megas. Also, as far as fossils are concerned, they will have to wait till Ash goes to Galar. We don't even need to wait till he travels through Galar, as he can just visit in order to catch more electric Pokémon.
Also, the two foreign Pokémon rule is mostly just foreign Pokémon he'll catch in Kanto, so if necessary, we'll have Ash go to another region if we need another Electric Type. Or perhaps he could win one in a tournament.
Ash and Pikachu had big smiles on their faces, as they continued making their way to Viridian City. Catching that Elekid would match challenging the Pewter Gym easier. As they walked Ash decided to see what the Pokédex had to say on their new friend. Holding Pokédex next to Elekid's Pokéball the Pokédex relayed Elekid's information.
Elekid, the Electric Pokémon, and electric type. Elekid waves its arms to produce a strong electrical charge and gains strength when lightning is present. This Elekid is male as has the ability Static. Elekid's moves are: Leer, Quick Attack, Thunder Shock, Charge, and Swift. Elekid also process the egg moves Cross Chop, and Dynamic Punch that haven't been unlocked yet.
Hearing the two egg moves caught Ash by surprise, those fighting definitely while be a big help in the future. And looking at what Elekid could learn impressed Ash.
"Elekid can learn some great attacks, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Rock Smash, Brick Break, Light Screen, even Psychic. No doubt these moves would be a big help on our journey." Ash said.
Ash then began planning on Elekid's training schedule. Once they arrive at the Pokémon Center, and get treated they would get some rest, then spend all of the next day working on Pikachu's Iron Tail, and Rock Smash. Since Elekid could also learn Rock Smash, he would join in on the training. When not working on Rock Smash, they could start working on Shock Wave. After that they would leave the after.
As Ash continue thinking about their training and traveling schedule, the illuminating lights of the city could be seen. Knowing Viridian City was close, Ash took off sprinting with Pikachu hanging on tight. He could see the gates leading to the city straight ahead, and just as he was about to make it a voice made him stop.
"Halt!" A command voice could be heard.
Ash stopped as soon as he heard the voice, looking around he noticed a woman in a blue police uniform.
"Is there a problem Officer Jenny?" Ash asked, recognizing the woman.
Officer Jenny is from a group of women in the police, that come from a big family. Every city had at least one Officer Jenny in it, and they all were somehow related, and they all looked alike. No one knew why they all looked alike, though he heard some Jennys in different had a different look. Many conspiracies had been made but no proof for anyone. There was one thing guaranteed is that you could always trust them.
"Yes, there have been suspicious people spotted in the area, so I'm going to need to see some identification." She explained.
Pokémon trainer would normally carry an id, that showed their trainers statis, however those that get their starter from the region's leading professor would instead a Pokédex that also would serve as their id.
"Here you go." Ash said, handing over his Pokédex.
"Thank you." Jenny replied, as she looked through the Pokédex for Ash's information.
"So, how come you Pikachu isn't in its Pokéball, after all its very unusual for a trainer to have their Pokémon out of one." Jenny questioned.
"Pikachu hate being in his Pokéball, so I let stay out." Ash answered calmly.
Jenny nodded in understanding, while rare, there were Pokémon who didn't like their Pokéballs. After finding Ash's trainer identification, Jenny gave him back his Pokédex and let him proceed. However, she warned him that Team Rocket had been seen in the area.
Team Rocket was a criminal organization in Kanto, they would poach Pokémon to use for their nefarious schemes. Or they would send them on the black market. They even stole Pokémon from their trainers. Know Team Rocket was around made Ash's blood boil.
Nodding Ash bid Jenny goodbye as he walked to the Pokémon Center. Finding the center didn't take too long. Once inside he walked up to the front desk, where a woman with pink hair, in a nurse uniform was waiting for him.
"Hello, and welcome to the Pokémon Center." She greeted.
"Thank you, Nurse Joy." Ash thanked, as he grabbed Elekid's Pokéball, and Pikachu. "Will you heal my Pokémon, Nurse Joy?" He asked.
"Yes, of course." She responded with a smile.
Much like Officer Jenny, every region had their own set of Nurse Joy, who all were related. Also, much like the Jennys, the Nurse Joys in other regions he heard also had a different style.
Nurse Joy took his Pokémon to get treated, deciding it would be good time to call his mom he went over to the video phones.
"Hello this the Ketchum Residents." His voice could be heard.
"Hi mom." Ash replied.
"Hi honey is everything okay, where are you?" Delia ecstatic to be hearing her son's voice.
"I'm in the Viridian City Pokémon Center." He answered, happy to see her.
"You're already in Viridian City, it took your father 4 days to get there when he started off, he'll be so proud you're the apple of his eye." Delia replied joyfully.
Ash's father was powerful Pokémon trainer, even become the champion of Kanto for a short time. However, after a few years at the top he gave up being the champion having grown bored and waiting to focus on just training his Pokémon. After meeting his mother, the fall in love and married before settling down in Pallet Town. However, his father still yearned to travel. So, he decided to go another journey, and while Delia was saddened, she knew he had the same restless spirit Ash had. Though his father made sure to stop by from time to time as well as to send letters. The last time Ash saw his father was just after he met Pikachu. In fact, the Pokéball he caught Pikachu in was given to him, by his father.
"Did you find any new electric type?" She asked.
"Yah, I caught an Elekid." Ash replied happily.
"Really, that wonderful, you remember to work hard." Delia reminded.
"Of course, I'm already working on a trainer schedule for them." Ash said.3
"Good, you are making sure to change your underwear every day right." Delia stated.
"Yes." Ash said, softly with a blush.
"Goodnight son, I love you." Delia said, after seeing the time.
"Goodnight mom, love you too." Ash replied.
The phone call ended, since he was here, he decided to call Prof. Oak. After dialing Prof. Oak's number, the camera showed Prof. Oak with his back facing the camera.
"Uh Prof. Oak." Ash said, not sure how to respond at the sight.
"Ash what wrong don't you recognize me?" Prof. Oak replied unaware of the issue.
"Sorry Prof. Oak for not recognize the back of your head." Ash replied with a smirk.
Realizing his mistake Prof. Oak quickly swapped the camera around.
"I see you're in Viridian City well done." Prof. Oak said.
"Thank you." Ash replied.
"So did you catch any new Pokémon?" Prof. Oak questioned with curiosity.
Surprise by Prof. Oak sudden questioned Ash replied, "Uh yah I caught an Elekid."
Suddenly Prof. Oak began celebrating, causing Ash to become more confused.
"Uh Prof. Oak." Ash began snapping before Prof. Oak out of it.
"Sorry, you see Gary had bet me a million dollar that you wouldn't catch a single Pokémon before you reached Viridian City." Prof. Oak stated.
Ash couldn't help but smirk, at the fact he proved Gary wrong.
"An Elekid, I'm impressed there not easy to find in the wild." Prof. Oak stated.
Ash then gave the details on how he found Elekid, before catching him.
"I see clever idea, it good to see made sure to minimize any risk you could have had." Pro. Oak responded.
"Paging Ash Ketchum, you're Pokémon are ready for pick." Nurse Joy said, over the intercom.
"Well professor I got to go." Ash said.
"Alright take care now." Prof. Oak responded.
After hanging up, Ash went to grab Pikachu and Elekid, deciding to introduce himself to Elekid in the morning. Placing Elekid's Pokéball on his belt, he asked Nurse Joy for a room key. After receiving the key, he bid the nurse and goodnight before heading into his room. Just as he was about to enter the room the sound of glass cracking caught his attention. Running back, he saw two Pokéballs on the ground that released a purple snake, and floating ball with smoke puffing out.
The two Pokémon release a cloud of smoke, covering the area, and the silhouettes of two people could be seen.
"Who are they?" Ash responded.
"Do not worry little boy." A woman's voice could be heard.
"Allow us to introduce ourselves." A man's voice was then heard.
From the smoke emerged a woman red hair, and a man with blue hair, the white clothes with a R on the middle of their shirt, along with black gloves, boots and undershirts.
"To protect the world from deviation... To unite all people within our nation... To denounce the evils of truth and love... To extend our reach to the star above... Jessie... James... Team Rocket blast off at the speed of light. Surrender now or prepare to fight." The duo recited.
"Meowth that's right." A taking cat added, as he jumped in.
"Did that Meowth just talk?" Ash questioned.
"Never you mind, just hand over all the Pokémon." The woman Jessie demanded.
"You're not getting my Pikachu, or my other Pokémon." Ash replied.
"Pika!" Pikachu agreed as his cheeks sparked.
"We're not interest in your precious electric rat." Jessie stated.
"We seek only rare and valuable Pokémon." James added.
"You're wasting your time; this is a center for weak and injured Pokémon." Nurse Joy stated.
"Well that maybe be so, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if we find a few little Pokémon gems among all the junk." Jessie replied.
"I won't let you take the Pokémon from this center. Pikachu let's go." Ash said, causing Pikachu to jump off his shoulder with his cheeks sparking. Then grabbing Elekid's Pokéball Ash released him, causing Elekid to look around confused. "Elekid." Ash said, catching his attention. "My names Ash and I caught you; this isn't a good time but those two..." Ash began pointing at Team Rocket, "They're try to steal all the Pokémon in this center, will you battle alongside me." Ash asked.
Looking at the duo Elekid nodded, before facing the evil doers.
"Oh look, the little boy wants to play hero." Jessie taunted.
"After we're done with him, he'll be running home to his mommy." James mocked.
"Let's smash him." Meowth insisted.
"Ekans go." Jessie ordered.
"Koffing go." James added.
"Pikachu use Quick Attack on Koffing. Elekid use Swift on Ekans." Ash ordered, before whispering to Nurse Joy to get the other Pokémon out of here. Nurse Joy seemed hesitant to leave the him, but followed through.
"Pika!" Pikachu squeaked, as he sprinted forward. Pikachu then slammed into Koffing sending it flying back.
"Ah Koffing." James cried out.
Elekid jumped out of the way of Ekans as it bit down on the ground, before firing a bunch of stars knocking Ekans back.
"Ah Ekans." Jessie panicked.
"Great work you two." Ash complemented. "Pikachu use Nasty Plot, and Elekid use Charge."
"Pika." Pikachu squeaked, as he had a dark aura, as his power increased.
"Beebee!" Elekid grunted, as he glowed yellow charging up his electrical powers.
After their Pokémon got back up, Jessie and James glared at Ash.
"So, you want to play rough, Ekans Bite." Jessies ordered.
"Koffing Tackle." James commanded.
"Ekans!" Ekans hissed as he was ready to bite down on Elekid.
"Koffing." Koffing grunted, as was ready to slam into Pikachu.
"Pikachu, Elekid Thunder Shock!'" Ash called out.
"Pikachu!" Pikachu squeaked as he fired a blast of electricity.
"Beebeebee!" Elekid grunted as also sent a blast of electricity at the attacks.
The blast of electricity shocked the five blasting them through the roof. Nurse Joy returned after having sent the Pokémon in the center to another Pokémon Center and came back only to see Team Rocket blasting off. Nurse Joy was surprised before going to check on the young trainer and Pokémon.
"Is everyone all right?" She asked.
"We're just fine." Ash replied.
"Pika." Pikachu squeaked agreeing.
"Bee!" Elekid also agreed.
"Thank goodness." Nurse Joy said relieved.
"You both did great." Ash said kneeling down, he scratching Pikachu behind his ears. "Elekid you sure are strong, my goal is to become an electric type master, and I would love it you joined us on our journey, what do you say?" Ash asked.
"Beebee." Elekid nodded, with a thumbs up.
"Ash." Nurse Joy said, getting him attention.
"Yes..." Was all Ash could get out before being brought into a hug.
"Thank you for protecting the center." She said; however, Ash began struggling since she accidently smothered Ash's head in her clothed chest. Realizing what she was accidently doing she realized the young trainer she released the young trainer with a blush. "Sorry." She apologized embarrassed.
"It's fine." Ash said, after catching his breath.
Office Jenny then showed up, and collected all the information on what happened. After writing everything down, she thanked Ash for protecting the center, and promised a small reward. Ash said he didn't need a reward, because he was just happy to save the center. Jenny wouldn't take it, after asking how long he would be staying, she promised to give him something before leaving as did Nurse Joy. Ash reluctantly agreed and bid goodnight to the two ladies.
After a goodnight sleep Ash woke up the next day, and spent all day training. The made great progress on Pikachu's and Elekid's Rosh Smash, and increased their electrical powers. After a full day of training the trio got some rest, before getting ready to leave. As he arrived at the front desk, he found Nurse Joy, and Officer Jenny waiting for him. Officer Jenny gift him 5 great balls as a reward for protecting the center. Ash was extremely great full, and thanked the officer. Nurse Joy an egg, which according to her had been abandon. The egg was mostly yellow with light brown with a few white markings. She said the Pokémon inside was an electric type. And when asked how did she know, she said that she could scan the eggs in order to see what's inside. Ash thanked her, promising to take good care of the egg. Nurse Joy responded saying she knew he would, and offered to tell him what's inside. Ash declined saying he wanted to be surprised. Ash and Pikachu said their goodbyes before taking off to Pewter City.
Alright, I hoped you enjoyed the new chapter. The egg Ash received will be a foreign Pokémon to Kanto but won't fall under the 2 foreign catches since he was given the egg. Feel free to guess what's inside. Next will be the Pewter City gym battle, because I want to save the Viridian Forest for a different version of the Master of the Element series. So, if I skip over something, then it may appear in a different story.
