Hello everyone. I'm uploading a chapter early as you might see if you're reading this. I am really excited for this chapter. Anyways I have many ideas I would love to put into this chapter but I need another chapter or two for this arc. Anyways I have read the only review for the last chapter and thanks ghr501 for giving me that ego boost! That made my day when I read it.

Anyways I would have begun another chapter sooner but I was trying to write something else. Sadly that didn't pan out and i couldn't think of a good idea so I decided to write chapter 5 early

Also, there is a time skip in between this chapter and last chapter of about 2 weeks so naruto has some extra stuff in his arsenal like explosive tags and - I don't know I'm just deciding shit as I go

Now, this chapter title also kind of gives away some of what's going to happen but chapter 5: The desert's gift of knowledge!(Also apart of this chapter is information from narutopedia all credit goes to them for that info)

Time skip 2 weeks

"Eugh why does this have to be so hard," A certain ex-blond said. He was currently reading a book. Not just any book but a book on fuinjutsu he was only on the second book out of the ten required to be called a master. Naruto put a bookmark on the page he was reading and closed it. He also sealed it away in a storage scroll. He had gotten the books in a random library naruto had found that had a few useful books

Naruto began looking at his hand, balling it into a fist, and then clenched his teeth in pain. Three 1-inch long nubs of bone appeared in between his knuckles with the sound of flesh being torn being heard by naruto. He then watched as the three nubs of bone disappeared with the sickening sound of the nubs disappearing. Then he pulled out a book and wrote something in it. "Bigger than last time," Naruto muttered. Ever since his encounter with the leaf two weeks ago he has noticed his sense of smell increase, his sight getting better, and he was beginning to grow what he only assumed were claws that he could summon at will. It was strange to him but he could only assume it was an effect of the Kyuubi chakra. He must have used too much of it.

"Hurts like a bitch every time," Naruto muttered, shaking his hand.

Currently, Naruto was in a hotel in a city close to sunagakure. His goal was to go there and "borrow" as much learning material as he could. He would also try to learn his elemental affinity or affinities whilst he was there. He would love to have water or earth release for defense or lightning for piercing power. Wind would be fine too so would fire but wind was highly unlikely as he was from the land of fire the place where fire was the most common.

Naruto got up from the desk he stole and sealed it. He was ready to make his way to sunagakure. Hopefully, they had books detailing what he needed to do to learn his elemental affinity.

*Screech* Naruto opened his window.

Suddenly he shivered. "Someone's talking about me and I don't like it: Naruto told himself and he walked onto the wall. He had been learning to do so for the past two weeks

Root squad 4

"I can't wait to find Foxy again! I wonder if he'll fight this time?" Root agent B said. They sounded excited

"Stop thinking about fighting our target. Our goal is to capture not kill" Root agent A said

"I know... but I'm still going to fight foxy. We would have had an awesome fight had you all not interrupted" Root agent B was looking at the rest of their squad. They wanted to fight Naruto badly after he scratched their arm.

"Shut it you two. We still have to find our target" Their squad leader root agent D said sternly. A and B had been arguing about this for the past week. So far they hadn't had any luck looking for the ex-blond jinchuuriki. " We can't have you draw attention to us. This is supposed to be a covert operation" Root agent D said. Truth be told he was tempted to slap a silencing seal on the both of them until they completed their mission but he didn't know what Danzo-sama would allow him to do in this scenario as this has never happened before.

"Fine/Aww fine" Was heard from A and B respectively. Although one sounded sad

'I can't believe that worked' D thought before speaking again. "Good now let's forge ahead, maybe we can reach sunagakure and find the weapon there," D said as everyone nodded. It would take a few hours to get there luckily as they were close

Hokage's office

*Knock, knock, knock" the sound of knuckles hitting the door was heard by one hiruzen sarutobi. The third Hokage. "Yes, Danzo you can come in" The aged leader sighed. He had to have a talk with Danzo today. It was the only day they were both available. But the meeting was pushed off long enough. Now he couldn't do anything to Danzo because Danzo held political power but a subtle threat would have to suffice

The door opened with a creak and danzo entered, Danzo appeared as a frail, old man, who walks with a cane. He had black, shaggy hair, and his right eye was bandaged Danzo has an x-shaped scar on his chin that he had ever since his youth. He wore a white shirt, with a black or dark grey robe(Depended on the day) over the top of it covering from his feet, to just over his right shoulder. The robe conceals his right arm which was also bandaged

"Hello old friend," Danzo greeted, walking over to the seat across from Hiruzen, getting comfortable, and sitting down leaning his cane on the edge of the Hokage's desk. Danzo looked at the aged leader

"Ah yes Danzo I'm glad you can make it today. I hoped there weren't any unfortunate accidents along the way here" Hiruzen said, standing up and walking over to his tea set and pouring Danzo a cup of tea as well as himself, and handing the cup over to Danzo who took a sip. Hiruzen sat back down

"There weren't any accidents along the way here although I did get lost on what does hatake call it? The road of life for a while" Danzo said, taking another sip of his tea.

"Yes, that road is indeed a beautiful one," Hiruzen said, taking a sip of his tea. "Now I assume you know why you are here don't you?" Hiruzen asked, beating around the bush.

"Indeed I do. We are here to talk about my men helping capture the weapon," Danzo said calmly. He knew he would have to explain this away but luckily he could use plausible deniability like he did other times.

"I know that's a lie Danzo, and the so-called 'weapon' has a name. It's Naruto," Hiruzen said. Both men knew it was but Danzo could deny it. Their breathing was the only noise in the room until Danzo spoke up

"Not really old friend. My men just so happened to be in the area and decided to help," Danzo lied expertly. The Warhawk always had a way to escape any scenario. It was frustrating, to say the least

"What was your root even doing in that area?" Hiruzen asked

"My anbu were eliminating a missing-nin that was sighted near tanzaku town. I even have his body," Danzo put a sugar cube in his tea and stirred it.

"Which one?" Hiruzen was skeptical of Danzo.

"Misaki Uru, A rank missing-nin from Iwa, Known for stealing an artifact from iwagakure and killing a few of his comrades' ' Danzo placed a scroll on hiruzen's desk. The scroll could be heard rolling over to hiruzen who picked it up

Hiruzen opened the scroll. Out came a male with shaggy brown hair a rough-shaped face, a scar going from cheek to cheek, and he wore the standard iwa jonin attire which was A red long sleeve shirt and pants, a lapel on the side a brown jonin flak jacket with a pouch on it and mesh armor around their ankles.

" It seems your anbu just happened to be at the right place at the right time, old friend," Hiruzen said calmly. He expected Danzo to have some sort of way to make it look like he was innocent.

"Now since we have cleared this misconception I must take my leave. That damn paperwork won't do itself" Even the shadow of shinobi hates paperwork.

"I understand old friend. Whenever you're not looking the damn stuff multiplies' ' Hiruzen said as Danzo picked up his cane and he began to walk out of the door. Danzo's walking could be heard with a few of clicks

the door creaked open then it swung shut

Hiruzen sighed Danzo always had a way to get out of trouble. Hiruzen looked back at his paperwork.

"IT DOUBLED AGAIN"

The anbu outside of the hokage's office heard what sounded like someone banging their head on a desk

Naruto pov

Currently, Naruto was transformed. He now had orange hair, Green eyes and he wore a brown Poncho with his regular attire underneath. He went by the name of Meiwaku Orenji so he could get into suna. He even had a fake passport!

"Passport please," said a lazy-sounding gate guard. Naruto handed the man his passport and he stamped it "Welcome to suna: The lazy man said.

'That was easy' Naruto thought. He was now in one of the five great nations. He never thought he would be in one of them after he was kidnapped. Naruto then transformed into someone else. He now had long brown hair and eyes, a beige shirt, and regular brown sweatpants along with regular sandals. He looked like a civilian now and soon he would go to the library and get some more fuinjutsu books, books on kenjutsu, and he would go to a shinobi store and "Borrow" as much as possible and then leave then he would make his way to takigakure... if he could find it

Naruto then made his way to a library. "So they at least have brains." Naruto saw a chunin guard at the shinobi section of the library. It seems that only sunagakure shinobi could enter. Naruto henged into a nondescript chunin and even henged his passport to the chunin identity. Just in case.

As Naruto walked by the library guard. Said library guard nodded at him. Naruto was laughing on the inside "How incompetent are these people?" Naruto asked himself. He then walked into the fuinjutsu area and grabbed parts 3 through 10 quickly sealing them away and went into the elemental chakra area and grabbed three books

'Everything is just being handed to me. I wonder if suna is really this incompetent in other areas' Naruto thought.

Deciding not to push the stupidity of the chunin there he grabbed a book called Poison for dummies and went to go check it out after nodding to the chunin who made sure no suspicious people entered or left

After checking out the book Naruto henged back to his orange-haired form. and sealed the extra book away. He might read it later but for now, he would need to go read the book on elemental chakra.

Naruto then went off to find a hotel for a few days. He wanted to see if he could find any allies or people to join his cause. He really needed to begin looking soon.

Root squad 4 pov

"Is the target here yet?" Asked root agent D. He had sent out C to look for the weapon.

"No not now although I did see a suspicious-looking person enter suna," C said. He thought it was the weapon under a henge.

"Well? What did you see?" D said.

"It was a guy who had orange hair, and green eyes. He wore a brown Pancho. I couldn't see what he was wearing though he entered suna roughly an hour after we did and then he went straight to the library but i didn't follow him he then left to go to a hotel." C said

D grinned under his mask. "He might be the weapon under a henge. Investigate further C also if you find B please don't let her know of your suspicion we can't have her letting him know of our appearance in suna. Also, I will go find A and tell him to go report to Danzo sama" D told his subordinate.

"Alright!" C said going to go investigate the orange-haired man

'Suddenly A appeared.

"A I was just about to go look for you," D said cheerfully. He was ready to get this mission done and go get some rest

"Me? Why me and not c or b?" A asked. He didn't know why he was specifically being asked for instead of others

"Well I need you to report to Danzo sama we have a lead.

"We have one? I see Finally" A was excited too. They have been hearing B for the past two weeks ramble on about Naruto and wanting to find him to fight him. Normally they were all a cohesive unit but this time they were just annoyed. B was always like this but normally they fought their target and killed them easily the first and only time they encountered them but naruto escaped and they needed to capture him not kill him

"Yes I am pretty sure that this is the weapon too he entered suna roughly an hour after we did," D said.

"I see... I shall report to Danzo sama right away!" A said. A then left the area they were in. It would take a while to get word to Danzo but just in case it took longer than a few days to capture the weapon again, danzo could always send in some extra root shinobi

D then left to go do some research whilst he could... He barely had time to do so in konoha but now he finally had the chance to enjoy his favorite hobby.

'Bathhouse here I come!' D thought.

Naruto pov

One's affinity can be determined using pieces of paper made from a special type of tree that is grown and fed with chakra. When this so-called Chakra Induction Paper is exposed to even the slightest hint of chakra, it reacts according to the chakra's latent element.

These reactions for each element are

Fire: the paper will ignite and turn to ash.

Wind: the paper will split in two.

Lightning: the paper will wrinkle.

Earth: the paper will turn to dirt and crumble away

Water: the paper will become wet.

Then came out a chakra paper from the book along with a note

"Congratulations! You are the first person to ever read this book and you get a free chakra paper!" The note said.

Naruto picked up the piece of paper and channeled chakra into it. It split in half

"Wind huh, Well that kind of derails things but I still can learn one of the others" Naruto muttered, He was making plans for what he would do later

'I should go steal I mean borrow some jutsu scrolls for wind' Naruto thought. He needed some attacks in his arsenal. Wind was good for cutting power. But maybe a few jutsu for defense like water would be good. 'Maybe some water too' Naruto thought. He decided he would need defense and water was more versatile than earth so that was the one he would learn.

Naruto opened the window. It was his favorite form of exiting and entering and he quietly left through the window. He was off to the library.

A masked man left from behind him shutting the window with a screeching noise

Root squad 4 pov

"I have confirmed that the weapon is here," C said to D as they both returned to their meeting location. "May I ask why you have just appeared back here too?" C asked

"You have confirmed that Konoha's weapon is here. Good. Now where I have been is none of your concern" D said

"I see. What are your orders?" asked C

"We gather more information. Stuff on his capabilities and see how he fights. We need to make sure we are prepared to fight him" D said

"Isn't this a bit overkill?" Asked C. Truth be told he didn't know why they were to prepare this much as the weapon was weak in his eyes.

"We don't know how much of the Kyuubi's power it can use. Plus we don't know how strong it truly is. He only used kawarimi the entire time and so little of the Kyuubi's power we truly don't know what he could have done if there wasn't a seal master and a sharingan there who knows what he would have done" D said

"He looked pretty scared to me though," C said. He was still skeptical of preparing this much for a twelve-year-old but he would continue to listen

"That could have been an act to let our guards down. The kid was hiding for six years without a trace we don't know how good he is at everything so we need to be careful" D said

"I guess that makes sense. Shall I keep an eye on him or you?" C asked. He was still reluctant about this as it still seemed overkill but he had to follow D's command.

"You will go. Your skills in stealth are unrivaled by even me. You are the best man for the job" D said. He was right. Anytime they had a very hard stealth job to do C was the man for the job

"R-Really?" C was flustered by the praise. "I'll do it"

"That's the spirit!" D said as C left to go monitor naruto

'Okay good. Back to the bathhouse I go! D thought happily before shunshining away.

Naruto pov

"Let's see "Wind style: Great breakthrough" This jutsu, depending on how much chakra is put into it could blow down trees or even forests with ease. Wind-style air bullets: This technique shoots multiple bullets of air at the victim with intense speed. Water release: gunshot The user then spits the water from their mouth as orb-shaped projectiles, whose destructive potential is determined by how much chakra is placed in them. Water style Water clone: Using water from the surroundings, the user creates one or more copies of themselves. Water release water formation wall: The user spits a stream of water from their mouth at the ground, which circles around them and rises upward to create a wall." Naruto finished taking a quick breath. "That was a mouthful," said Naruto. These were all of the jutsu he could find that he could sneak out. But these jutsu would be damn useful for him later and they were all relatively simple C-ranked jutsu.

Naruto hoped to learn at least 2 of the jutsu by the end of the week. Wind release: great breakthrough and water release: gunshot and if he had time he would learn the water formation wall. He would have to learn the water jutsu inside of his hotel room though just so he would have water to use.

'I will have to fix that problem later though' naruto thought getting back to his hotel room He would need to read the scrolls for a while then he would put his knowledge into practice

"Naruto laid down the Great breakthrough scroll. This jutsu would be really useful to get people the fuck away if needed. " Naruto unfurled the scroll.

"The user sucks in air then mixes that air with their chakra. The amount can vary between little and a lot. The user then blows out the air," Naruto read the deeper parts of the scroll until he had a decent understanding of the jutsu.

Naruto closed the scroll after an hour. and began the hand sign sequence for the jutsu Tiger Ox Dog Rabbit. "Wind style great breakthrough, " Naruto said, inhaling some air and putting chakra into the jutsu. Nauto spat out the air and a small breeze came out.

"This is it" Naruto deadpanned. He was disappointed but he just began learning the jutsu so it wouldn't be easy to do.

"Naruto then went through the hand signs for the jutsu again.

"Wind style great breakthrough!" Naruto exclaimed and this time a slightly bigger breeze came out. The flapping of the curtains could be heard as well

"I think I will practice more later. Naruto said as it was getting dark and he plopped onto his bed making a creaking noise.

'Okay, I think I could get the great breakthrough down by the end of tomorrow. Naruto thought to himself before sleep took him.

A certain masked man left the room to go somewhere else

Root squad pov

"Report" D said as C appeared in front of him with shunshin

"The weapon has been learning a C-rank wind jutsu after finding out he had a wind elemental affinity. They just went asleep.

"I'll keep watching and find out if he has any jutsu in his arsenal. Also, did you find out what jutsu he is learning?" D asked

"Wind Style: Great breakthrough, Wind-style air bullets, Water release: gunshot, Water release: Water clone, and Water release: water formation wall are the five jutsu he stole from the library" C said

"Okay mostly utility jutsu. You can go now" D said. C left to go back to spying on Naruto. He quickly shunshined away

'Okay B should still be spying on the kazekage' D thought. He has sent B to spy on the kazekage as was their second mission appointed by Danzo sama.

'Well I have more free time might as well go get something to eat' D thought before henging and shunshining to a restaurant

Different pov

"Yes, mother I will find him for you" muttered an Auburn-haired boy with rings around his eyes muttered to nobody in particular clutching his head.

"Yes find that stupid fox and kill him!" A Childish voice cackled from inside the boy's mind. This voice belonged to the ichibi or the one-tailed beast. The one tail held a grudge against the nine tails as the nine tails always thought it was stronger than the ichibi.

"Okay mother," the boy said

"Soon I will prove I'm better than that stupid fox by having the idiot kill its jinchurriki," the ichibi told itself. The ichibi really wanted to prove it was the superior Bijuu

This is the longest chapter I have done(Over 4.1 k words the longest I have ever done). I just received advice on how to write better so I'm going to hopefully implement it next chapter along with this one. I hope this chapter was a good one. I really hope I did well this time. Also, the next chapter is going to be an exciting one too!

This is going to be the beginning of the arc for suna. Naruto isn't going to learn all five jutsu right away as it would be kinda bs" Also as for the naruto getting more beast-like features thing. I will explain that later. Far later. But anyways naruto growing claws doesn't change me wanting to give him a weapon. He still needs some range after all. I'm still debating on whether or not to give naruto some sort of kekkei Genkai but that's a matter for a different time(chapter)

Anyways, I introduced Gaara in this chapter. Albeit at the end of it but next chapter naruto will meet gaara and they will strike up a friendship... after some Gaara trying to kill naruto shenanigans. Also may or may not become a member of (primis or ultimis still haven't decided which) I don't know.

Now question of the chapter time.
