Dick Grayson has just moved into Wayne Manor after the death of his parents. It takes time and a lot of patience before he gets initiated into the life of the Batman as they both work in tandem to solve the different cases of Gotham. Each chapter will feature an individual case. This is a detective story and will also function as an origin story for Dick Grayson.

Tony Zucco gets out of prison and comes after Dick with everything that he has. The GCPD makes a plan to catch Zucco again but it may not have been the greatest idea, now Dick is paying the price. Unsure if Batman and Catwoman will find him, or if they even care to look, Dick struggles with the idea of just giving up. This is a re-do of Permanent.

It wasn't that Dick was suicidal exactly, but if an opportunity came about where he would have to actively save himself from death, he might just let go. He might not be suicidal, but he's not self-preserving either, and it's becoming a real problem. Luckily, Bruce is a worried parent with a few detective skills.

This is a continuation of the Batman Beyond comics storyline that has been going on since the Future's End event.
