Please excuse this vague and dull summary. This is more of a "character has lots of thoughts" fic. :P In the moments after Gwen's killed, Peter determines what he needs to do about Harry, who'll come back to consciousness at any time. Webb movie universe.

Set near the end of "Spider-Man 2": He wanted to die doing the right thing. His actuators, on the other hand, weren't quite so eager to die. So what is a man with four voices in his head and a criminal record supposed to do when he survives his attempted heroic sacrifice? What does he do when he worries about his mind being overwhelmed again and no purpose left in his life?

This story follows the point of view of Matthew James Watson, a gender bent version of Mary Jane. If you like this story, be sure to tell me if you want a sequel. I kind of follow the story arc of Spider-Man 2 but with changes, and leaving out some characters.
