For centuries the Devil's Machine has lain dormant since the defeat of Giygas, but four years after the events of 199X, it has mysteriously begun to function once again. Has Giygas returned? Can he be stopped? And who will rise to stop him?

Written as part of an experiment conducted with EB fanfiction, this oneshot is a very exaggerated account of Ness and Paula's first date. : Rated PG for mild language. Please review, as this is my first venture back to fanfiction in a while!

Even though they don't really deserve any sympathy, I recently was someone's john and it's a really trying experience, emotionally. I suppose that is the nature of investing some love in something that you know isn't yours, right?
