Shin lives life hiding behind a forced smile. After all, it doesn't seem to him as if anyone will ever notice the downward spiral he's slowly succumbing to. He is, in fact, so sure that those around him are completely blind to his plight that he is entirely unprepared to have his mask ripped clean off.
