After breaking free of Esset, the members of Schwarz have scattered and moved on to new lives. Five years later, however, Schuldig sets out on a mission to reunite with his former leader and sets in motion a cascade of events not even Crawford could have foreseen.

Schuldig wishes good riddance to Rosenkreuz. His reunion with Crawford involves a great deal more guns and games than he expected: Crawford made a few promises before leaving Rosenkreuz, and Schuldig is trying to figure out how they are supposed to add up and whether it'll all even out in the end.

Schuldig likes to make a mess when he's playing. Crawford prefers to keep it clean.
