So I realized we don't know much of, really any, of the secret preserves, especially Rio Branco. So these are short stories of Rio Branco Preserve.

It's been a long day. Marla is tired. Kendra and Seth are squabbling. What is a mother to do? (no spoilers for anything)

Who knew dark unicorns and demon dragons to be could get along...? -Ronodin and Navarog are young kids -Bracken is a spoiled child, but lucky for Kendra he improved when the first demon war came along -The Unicorn-Dragon gala was something set up by the Fairy Queen to foster better relationships between both groups, it was discontinued for obvious reasons and never mentioned again.

Post!Zzyzx. New evils are rising, and as they are called to a strange preserve, Kendra has horrible visions of possible futures and Seth can't seem to get his mind off quenching fire to focus at the task at hand. With enemies lurking under their noses, the siblings race against the odds to find the source of the new group, threatening all they have worked to save.

Seth is having trouble with his math homework, so he goes to Kendra for help.

Seth may not remember much about himself, but he learns two things quickly. One, he's easily bored. And two, the more forbidden a place is, the more eager he is to explore it.

When Seth was seven, his mother ran away, taking his sister with her. Not long after, his father remarried. Seth may not have gotten along with his step mother and her daughters, but things were more or less okay until his father died, leaving him at the mercy of the three unpleasant women. Years later, a letter came bearing news of a ball and a prince and a fairytale ending...

Rather than a brother Kendra has a sister, her name is Selena watch how she will change what happens throughout the course of Fablehaven. Hints of romance in later chapters.

It's Kendra's sixth birthday, and she and Seth are excited about it. :)
