A beautiful afternoon in the Kalos region, our heroes Ash Ketchum, Clemont, Bonnie and Serena are at the airport

The group is about to say goodbye to Serena, who, wanting to follow her dream, decided to go to the Hoenn region in search of becoming a pokemon Coordinator.

Now the group is facing Serena, who has her back to the escalator leading to the boarding pass.

(Serena): Well, I guess this is goodbye...

The sad tone in Serena's voice gave away her fear of abandoning her friends.

(Serena): But first, there are a few things I need to say.

Serena approached Clemont

(Serena): Clemont, throughout our trip, you were a brother to me, with your inventions and your determined attitude, your willpower and courage to correct your mistakes and admit your faults, you are both an inspiration and one of my best friends

Serena hugged the blonde who hugged back

(Clemont): You're also my best friend Serena

The two broke up

(Clemont): I'm rooting for your achievements in Hoenn!

Serena now approached Bonnie, kneeling down a bit to get eye to eye with the girl.

(Serena): Bonnie, throughout our journey, I could see your love for pokemons, a kind girl who cared about them and who above all was ready to act and save a helpless pokemon, even if she got hurt in the process, during this journey you were the little sister i never had and i pray for your success as a future trainer

Little Bonnie tried to stand her ground, but she hugged Serena with all her strength and plummeted onto the biggest

(Bonnie): I'll miss you so much! *crying*

(Serena): Me too Bonnie, me too

After the smallest of the group calmed down, Serena approached Ash, who was trying to hide his intense sadness at saying goodbye to his friend again.

(Serena): Ash, it's hard for me to say what hasn't already been said, you are so much more than a friend to me, during our journey, you encouraged me every step of the way, helped me get up every time I fell , you taught me the meaning of determination, courage and kindness, and taught me, that even when the path is hard and we fall, we must always get up and follow our dreams

The ketchum tried its best to hide tiny tears that formed in his eyes as he looked into Serena's navy blue eyes, which also had tiny tears in them.

Serena approached slowly and kissed the ketchum on the cheek, and whispered in his ear.

(Serena): You are and will always be the only one in my heart

Hearing this made Ash's eyes widen.

Before he could say anything, Serena backed away and turned back to the group.

(Serena): Goodbye guys, I'll miss you so much

Clemont and Bonnie said their goodbyes as Serena descended the escalator, but Ash, seemed immobile, seemed in a trance, as he saw memories of his childhood with Serena

Flashback (12 Years Ago)

(Ash): Do you really have to go?

Asked little Ash, to Serena, the only friend he had made during Professor Oak's camp.

(Serena): Yeah, I have to go back to Kalos with my mom

Both were silent, it was an agonizing moment for both of them, both, even if in a short period of time, had become best friends, and it hurt for the two to say goodbye

(Ash): one day..

(Serena): Uh?

Ash held Serena's hands

(Ash): one day, we'll meet again!

Serena's eyes widened a little.

(Ash): And when that day comes, I'll never say goodbye again!

Serena looked impressed by the seriousness in the ketchum's voice, she felt breathless, even though she felt her heart fluttering.

Ash felt the same feeling as that day, the feeling of a needle piercing his heart, the feeling of losing someone, losing a friend, losing ssomeone that to him was much more than a simple friend

Ash tried to hold back, but after mere seconds, he felt his body screaming for him to run, as his breath became agitated and tears welled up in his eyes.

It took a mere five seconds for Ash to run

(Ash): Serena!

Serena, who by this point was well ahead of the escalator, turned around in time to see Ash running towards her.

(Serena): Wha-

Before she could finish, Ash approached, and in one quick movement, pulled the girl by the waist and sealed their lips.

For a second Serena was in complete shock, Ash, one of her best friends and her childhood crush was kissing her.

It didn't take long for her to return the kiss with the same love and passion as the ketchum.

For a few seconds that felt like hours, for the two of them, there was no world, there were no other people, during those few moments, for them, there was nothing else but them

After a few seconds, the two broke apart, Serena looking intently at Ash, with a mixture of surprise and happiness, while Ash looked at her with passion and seriousness.

(Serena): A-Ash?

The boy took Serena's hand

(Ash): I can't

(Serena): Uh?

The boy took Serena's hand, and knelt in front of her, ignoring all the looks from the other people and even his friends who had come to see the scene.

(Ash): Serena, when we were kids, I promised that we'd meet again, and I promised that after that I'd never say goodbye to you again.

(Serena): Ash...

The boy held Serena's hand tighter, now with both hands.

(Ash): so I don't need time to make my decision

The boy got up and pulled the girl close.

(Ash): I'm going to Hoenn with you

Serena now looked more shocked than before.

(Serena): b-but Ash, what about your dream?

The young ketchum looked down for a few seconds, before looking back at the girl.

(Ash): it doesn't matter

(Serena): What?

(Ash): It's not worth it without you, what's the point of conquering the whole world, if the girl I love won't be by my side?

(Serena): Are you really willing to turn back on your dream because of me?

Ash smiled, seeing the girl care more about him than herself.

(Ash): Of course I am, and, I can always continue later, for me, you are more important Sere

Now Serena feels like she could have a heart attack at any moment, Ash has not only admitted to loving her, but also says he's willing to sacrifice everything for her.

(Ash): So... Serena, would you allow me to accompany you on your journey?

Serena looked deeply into the boy's eyes, before answering with all the air in her lungs.

(Serena): Yes!

Serena jumped into the ketchum's arms, hugging him tightly.

The next day, Ash and Serena again said goodbye to Clemont and Bonnie, they both boarded the plane together to Hoenn.

Now, not both were happy, as they both had each other and promised themselves something very simple.
