(At the main throne room, King Stefan and the Queen Leah and their Pokémon sat on their thrones, aiting for the welcoming to begin until Hubert and his Heracross came by, looking worried.)
King Hubert: Stefan, there's something important I have to tell you.
King Stefan: Not now, Hubert.
King Hubert: But it's about Phillip.
King Stefan: Phillip, oh yes, of course, Phillip, why, where is the boy?
King Hubert: That's what I'm telling to tell you.
King Stefan: Well, send for him immediately!
King Hubert: But-
King Stefan: Shh!
(A fanfare sounds outside and Lord Duke started to announce in his very high pitched and exciting voice.)
Lord Duke: The sun has set! Make ready to welcome your princess!
(The crowd start cheering and waving the banner flags and the fireworks start exploding into the night sky.)
(Up at the tower, the fairies and the Pokémon were sobbing at a bed as they placed Aurora on, a red rose in her hand. Bloom laid beside her with tears in her eyes. Flora walked off to the balcony in sadness. She watched the fireworks exploding and the people cheering while the fairies and their Floettes came to join her.)
Fauna: Poor King Stefan and the Queen.
Ivy: Floette...
Merryweather: They'll be heartbroken when they find out.
Holly: (nod her head)
Flora: (getting an idea and wiped a tear away) They're not going to.
Rosa: (look at her) Floette?
Merryweather: They aren't?
Flora: We'll put them all to sleep, until Rose awakens. (waves her wand at Bloom and the Roselia fell asleep beside her. Flora closed the curtains and looked at the fairies) Come!
(They shrunk into small sizes and fly around the castle with the Floettes following them. The fairies put everyone to sleep, including the knights, servants, nobles, townspeople, lords, ladies, peasants, and their Pokémon.)
Choir: Sleeping Beauty fair,
Gold of sunshine in your hair
Lips that shame the red, red rose
Dreaming of true love in slumber repose

(In the dining room, while Merryweather is putting the townspeople and other people to sleep, she spots Sir Minstrel awakening and puts him back to sleep, yawing as he lay on the floor under the table again. Meanwhile, in the throne room, Flora has put the sleeping spell on Stefan, Leah, Hubert, and their Pokémon. While drifting off to sleep, Hubert spoke.)
King Hubert: Well, just been talking to Phillip. Seems he's fallen in love with some peasant girl.
Flora: (flew off but stopped as she heard what Hubert said) Peasant girl?
Rosa: Floette?
Flora: (flies back to Hubert) Yes, yes? (tries to wake him) The peasant girl, who is she? Where did he meet her?
King Hubert: Just some peasant girl he met.
Flora: Where, where?
King Hubert: Once upon a dream. (finally falls asleep)
Flora: Once upon a dre- (finally gets the connection along with Rosa)
Rosa: Floette!
Flora: Rose! Prince Phillip! (flies to Merryweather, Fauna, and the other Floettes) Come on, we've got to get back to the cottage!
(The fairies hurriedly start towards back the cottage. No one moved, walked, or talked as the entire kingdom are still asleep.)
(Meanwhile, Philip and Esmond rode on Samson. The prince was whistling to the song that he and his mysterious love have sang until they approached the cottage. He and Esmond got off of the Rapidash's back and walked towards the door.)
Voice: (warmly) Come in!
(Phillip and Esmond walked inside and sees the door close behind them. They were now ambushed by a couple of Maleficent's goons. They struggled and fought, but the prince is ultimately completely tied up and Esmond is in chains. Maleficent and her Rookidee watch the scene with deep satisfaction.)
Maleficent: (lighting his face with a candle) Well, this is a pleasant surprise. I set my trap for a peasant, and lo! I catch a prince and his Escavalier! (laughs) Away with them! (The goons lead Phillip and Esmond away.) But, gently, my pets. Gently. I have plans for our royal guests. (exit the cottage)
(The fairies and the Floettes flew as fast as they could, but as they got into the cottage and the fairies enlarge back to their normal size, they looked around, seeing the mess until they saw something that shocked them as the gasped. They saw Philip's hat lying on the ground and Flora picked it up.)
Fairies: Maleficent!
Floettes: Floette!
Merryweather: She's got Prince Phillip!
Flora: At the Forbidden Mountain.
Fauna: But we can't. We can't go there!
Flora: We can, and we must!
