"Get me thoseViolacea's leaves," Rylae shouted through out the room as she kneeled down to the bed. Telemnar nodded and rushed to pick up a purple jar of leaves of said medical plant. Rylae had jumped right into her healing roll and was now looking for the cause of illness. "Telemnar, did she say that anything had bit or injured her lately?" Telemnar started thinking back since Yára to all the way up to the start of her collapse.

"No not that I'm aware of, other than a hit to the head back in Yàra but that was three months ago." He placed the jar down on the small table next to her. "It could be something that she ate in Lundar..." Telemnar trailed off, thinking what she had eaten when they where there. Before Rylae could respond they both heard a small groan and looked down at Iâ. They saw that she was trying to keep her eyes open and stay conscious.

"Sweetheart, did you eat anything abnormal without asking about it first?" Rylae urged shaking her lightly on the shoulder trying to help her stay awake long enough to answer. " Their minds were racing, after all, her body was burning up at an alarming rate and they needed to stop it. Her hair seemed to be covered in sweat along with her whole body at this point. Her pulse was getting weaker, and Rylae knew that they had maybe until sunrise to help the young woman.

"I...didn't ask...about the...fruit desert...at the inn," Came her rasp breathes as she struggles to breath. "I think it...was called...Kavun River fruit. I wanted..to know why...it was so great in Lundar." But they saw that talking was too much for her and Iâ had lost consciousness once again. That was all they needed to hear though, they now knew what was causing the issue. The Kavun River fruit.

"Oh no. Quickly Telemnar take the items I hand you and take them to the table, and then you're going to help me get her to drink the mixture afterwards. But we need to be quick, we only have until sunrise!" Rylae ordered as she jumped to her feet and started to run around collecting items and herbs traying not to trip over anything in her haste. Telemnar took a quick small glance at Iâ's body, she seemed to resemble more like a corpse the a living being. He snapped his eyes away before turning around to help collect the items from his friend. Rylae was his only hope now or they will lose her for sure.

"Is this everything?" Telemnar rushed over with the last items to the table with Rylae rusting to the table behind him.

"Yes. Now let me start and be on stand by," Rylae nodded as she ordered him to place the items down. Suddenly the frantic room was quiet and seemed to come with an uneasiness in the air around them. Telemnar looked down at Iâ and picked up her hand in his larger one. His spare hand ran through her wet locks as he stared down at her pale form. It seemed too soon for her time and he didn't want her to stop fighting yet.

He never wanted to see her like this again, fighting for her life. She shouldn't have to have a fate like this placed upon her shoulders. For any of them for that matter. "Telemnar," he looked up at Rylae at the foot of the bed at the sound. "Hal hi lak... (Is she your...)" Rylae barely whispered, letting him know that he was safe speaking to her in his own birth tongue. His mother's language Ilwa. His eyes moved back to Iâ who's hand felt cold under his warm touch. She was always warm and if she wasn't he would keep her warm now. Iâ's body was fighting, fighting, fighting so hard to keep her alive.

"Naeam , lakin lays min almuftarad 'an takun kadhalik , wala yajib 'an taktashif shyyan ean wujud Ia huna. Lidha autrukha washanuha min fadliki. (Yes, but it's not meant to be and she mustn't find out about Iâ being here. So leave it alone please.)" Telemnar sighed and leant forward and kissed her on her burning forehead. He felt useless. He felt scared, no he was terrified for the young woman before him. "Na leig seachad Iâ, (Don't give up Iâ)" He whispered the last part hoping that his words would reach her unconscious mind. It shocked Rylae when he suddenly whispered in Sievarin to the girl. Rylae hadn't heard him use that language since six years ago.

Rylae then knew that they couldn't loose the young woman now more than ever. And she would be damned if she allowed her friend to lose histaw'am alruwh (Soulmate) once he had her in his reach. She was about to say something when she caught sight of Iâ's chest. There was no movement, which means only one thing.

"Telemnar, she isn't breathing! Start compressions immediately!" Telemnar shot forward once the words 'not breathing' passed her lips and immediately started to place his hands over her chest to begin the compressions. His huge frame hovered over Ia's nonresponsive body in a panic.

"Numara...Numara...(No...No...)" Rylae heard him chant over and over again switching from Ilwa to Aras as she hurriedly drained the liquid from the mixture into a small clay bowl. "Stay with us, Iâ." Soon with one more breath of air into her lungs, he felt a beat against her chest and saw her gasping in air. "Rylae is it ready yet?!"

"Yes here! Get her to drink as much liquid as possible, force it down her throat if you have too even," Rylae explained and pasted the bowl of medication to him and sat back in hopes that they weren't too late for it to have any effect. But once Iâ drank half of it, is when it went down hill for her once again. "She's seizing!" Rylae watched in horror as Iâ started to convulse on the bed.

"Iâ!?" Telemnar shouted as he tried to keep her body on the bed and not fall off or hurt herself even more. Rylae ran from the bed to the other side of the room to fetch some already crushed up Oyusdetta and quickly placed the plant into a incent burner, and then lit it up next to the girl's nose. "Rylae..." That was the first time the fairy ever heard the draconic whimpered at the nightmare before them. "Please save her..." His pleading eyes locked onto hers and she nodded determinedly.

"My friend, I will save yourtaw'am alruwh (Soulmate). TheOyusdetta will help numb the pain and help relax her her muscles too."And it was indeed a very long night for the two as the others waited outside in another room resting hearing ever yell made.

*~*~*~*~*

For the next three days Telemnar sat with Iâ next to her bed when he didn't have to eat or sleep. Rylae and him had barely made it with the medicine. He had hoped talking to her, tried everything in his power to get her to respond once but it was no use. He could see her light was fading a couple of days ago; she was allowing her sickness to consume her. He felt heartbroken seeing her laying there lifeless, but look better now.

Everyone is taking Iâ's sickness in their own way out of grief and worry. Kemen took to clinging to Victoria, Dúwath chose to practice his bow skills, Thurin chose to walk around Nylahona and Telemnar... he chose to stay and guard her until she woken up. He didn't want to get Dhoah or his family into any trouble or get catch up in their mess, but he needed help and he knew that only Rylae could have saved the girl.

They both knew that Telemnar wouldn't have seek them out for not just nothing. And It seemed Rylae hadn't voice their conversation toDhoah. He didn't know if he was grateful or not by that. Rylae had already stopped by to check on the two and dropped off a warm mug of Faenemo's Nectar to help ease himself. He had placed it down on the nightstand beside him next to Iâ's bed, untouched for now.

He soon took noticed that she was starting to regain color back into her skin that morning and started to take more even breaths than struggling for it. It was day five that she still slept, but wasn't too worried since Rylae's medicine was working. She still had a small fever but it was no longer life threatening to her. She just needed to wake up for them now.

He placed his hands into his lap and tilt his head downwards shutting his eyes as his tiredness set in. He knew he should go and take a small rest, but he just couldn't bring himself to do so.

They had ran for three days to reach Nylahona and it had been two days since then. If he wasn't careful he could be forced into a holding cell upon capture along with the Calithil if she is found in Nylahona. He would need to be extra careful with who sees her since soldiers from Fëa still frequently visit with Nylahona and its people to insure their safety.

On top of that he knew a soon there may be even more guards appearing in Nylahona for the up coming celebration in a few days. It was the celebration of the end of the harvest for the up coming winter. The people would light bonfires around Nylahona and wear masks to ward off unwanted spirits. The celebration marked the end of summer and the harvest and the beginning of the dark, cold winter, a time of year that was often associated with loss and death.

The people believed that on the night of the celebration before the new year, the boundary between the worlds of the living and the dead became blurred. Such as in both Faenemo and Vrithor. On the night at midnight some could see said spirits, so it was then believed that the spirits of the dead return to Mélamar for that one night per year to their ancestors.

Everyone in Nylahona will share stories of the dead, tell each other's fortunes, dance and sing together as one around bonfires and the lake. For the children the people focused on entertaining them with games and treats. He knew that once she learns that she can't leave the house, she would be a handful for them to keep still. She would try and find a way to go and partake in it for sure with or without them.

He was so deep into his own thoughts, he missed seeing Iâ slowly start to stir with her eyes and nose crunched up in discomfort or in confusion.

Numbness. That was what Iâ first noticed. No pain. No tingling. No heat. Just...nothing once she woken up back into her body. It was clear that her body had not be moved in a while with how stiff she was. She assumed her body was still laying down, though it wasn't confirmed until she had opened her eyes.

Above her were unfamiliar wooden boards. A soft breeze blowing through the room could be felt on her face, allowing her to come to her senses. And it didn't take long for her to wish that she hadn't.

Iâ clench her teeth as a slight pain tore through her body and her head spun slightly with the effort it took to simply draw in air through her nose. Her heart beat hard and painful inside her chest as she tried to calm it.

Iâ blinked to clear the pain that was dancing across her. Each in hale was getting easier, as if the weight of a boulder lifted off her chest.

Breathe. In. Chest easing, throat dry and burning. Out. It might have been minutes later, she didn't know. The pain over her body started to sooth and cool from the soft breeze wash over her from the open windows in the room.

The mattress beneath her was soft while the blankets were piled over her, as if she'd been tucked in and cared for while she slept. Iâ started to push the blankets away but halted. Iâ turned her head to see Telemnar sitting next to her bed, head in hands, his chest rising and falling gentle with him trying to calm his thoughts.

She sat up with some struggle, but not enough to disturb him, to lean up against the headboard behind her silently. The blankets had fallen down, revealing her new change of cloths and her hair braided to the right side. The gown looked to be a light green nighgown that looked like it could reach her ankles if she stood up. She hoped that either Victoria or some other female had changed her clothes and not one of the males in their group. She didn't want a repeat in what happened at the Glaistigs' lake in Yára's mountains.

As she turned her head back to the man. Something in her chest felt a connection to him, but stronger than ever for some reason looking upon him. The feelings had gotten stronger once they had left Îdh and it scared her and confused her to no end. It frustrated her that she couldn't figure out why that is over their travels to Lundar.

She feared if she made a sound now that he would up and leave her alone in this strange new place. She didn't want that at all, she felt safer next to him.

"What had happened back in the days we had left Lundar? All I remember is collapsing. Why do I feel like this towards him now?!" But she knew that the only way to get answers was to break the silence even though she didn't want to. "Here goes nothing...wait hmmm...maybe I can do that thing I always wanted to do and get away with it."

Telemnar didn't stir from her movements yet, his face tipped partially away from her facing down, giving her a good look at his pointed ears. He was stilloblivious to her, and her fingers were itching and burning with curiosity. Iâ reached out and traced her fingers over his right ear softly. It didn't feel all that different than her own ears, warm when she'd been expecting it to be cool, but they were the same in the end like hers.

She hand felt him tense up under her fingers at the first touch, but he didn't stop her either for some reason and had allowed her to continue her probing of his right ear. It seemed that he was afraid if he moved and looked up, he would only see an illusion that his mind was playing tricks on him. So he took a chance in breaking the silence between the two in the quiet room after another minute.

"Iâ...Why are you touching my ear?" Telemnar's voice was softer than usual, and he remained perfectly still, his words the only indication he was aware of her being awake now. Iâ snatched her hand back. she had somehow forgotten that he was awake and she was fondling his ear.

"I...uhm...ever since Yára, I've been curious on how they would feel...Sorry." He turned his face towards her, his eyelids dropping tiredly.

"It's alight..." He started to sit up straighter, and then got to his feet a bit sluggishly. She could then see how tired he was now. "I'll go get Rylae who helped heal you. she will like to have a look at you since you're now awake." He started to walk towards the door and as he was turning it, Iâ spoke up in a small whisper before he shut the door behind him.

"Thank you, Telemnar."
