(Through the fog, Maleficent's castle stands solitary, as the fairies and their Floettes reached to the castle and cautiously approach it. They stop when they see a goon coming and hide behind a chain anchor. The goon approaches the entrance and leaves.)

(Once he is out of sight, the fairies shrink themselves and fly through a chain housing with the Floettes following them. There, they avoid two goon guards and fly straight into a courtyard of stone gargoyles and column head decorations of grotesque looking human and demon faces.)

(The fairies and the Floettes retreat to a perch and let out a sigh of relief. They hear shrieking noises nearby and see flames from inside a window. They fly to the window and look inside the hall, where Maleficent is having a feast, with her minions dancing around a huge bonfire.)

Maleficent: (sits on her throne, petting her Rookidee) What a pity Prince Phillip can't be here to enjoy the celebration. (laughs and gets up from her throne) Come, we must go to the dungeon and cheer him up. (walks away)

(The fairies and the Floettes followed them. They have quietly snuck pasted the guards and not being caught but as they continued to follow her, she and her Rookidee came to a dungeon door and went in. In the dungeon room, Philip and Esmond were in chains. They look up to see Maleficent standing in front of them.)

Maleficent: Oh, come now, Prince Phillip. Why so melancholy? A wondrous future lies before you. You, the destined hero of a charming fairy tale come true.

(The fairies and the Floettes appear in the window of the dungeon. Maleficent uses her magic staff to depict the following, showing the images of the castle and a sleeping princess.)

Maleficent: Behold, King Stefan's castle, and in yonder topmost tower, dreaming of her true love, the princess Aurora. But see the gracious whim of fate. Why, 'tis the self same peasant maid, who won the heart of our noble prince but yesterday. She is indeed most wondrous fair. Gold of sunshine in her hair, lips that shame the red, red rose. In ageless sleep she finds repose.

(More images appeared and to see the prince was shown to be old along with his Pokémon.)

Maleficent: The years roll by, but a hundred years to a steadfast heart are 'bout a day. And now, the gates of the dungeon part, and the prince is free to go his way. Off he rides with his noble Pokémon, a valiant figure, straight and tall, to wake his love with love's first kiss, and prove that true love conquers all. (laughs from her sarcasm)

(Phillip struggles in his chains along with Esmond. Merryweather grew angry at the dary fairy.)

Merryweather: Why, you mean… (got pulled back by Flora.

(The Rookidee has noticed Merryweather speaking and turns towards the window, but he doesn't see the hidden faries and Floettes.)

Maleficent: Come, my pet. Let us leave our noble prince with these happy thoughts. A most gratifying day. (outside the dungeon, she locks the door) For the first time in sixteen years I shall sleep well. (walks away along with her Rookidee, but the Pokemon looked back at the door as he was getting suspicious.)

(On top of the dungeon door, the fairies and Floettes hid in the holes on the wall as they watched them go down the hall and Maleficent going up the stairs to her tower. As the coast is clear, they flew through the window and enlarge to their normal sizes which Philip and Esmond saw them.)

Flora: Shh, no time to explain. (using the fairies' magic, they open Phillip and Esmond's chains and the door lock. Philip and Esmond were free and was about to go but Flora stopped them.)

Flora: Wait, Prince Phillip. The road to true love may be barriered by still many more dangers, which you alone will have to face. (with her wand, a sword and shield appeared to Philip) So, arm thyself with this Enchanted Shield of Virtue and this Mighty Sword of Truth. For these weapons of righteousness will triumph over evil. Now come we must hurry.

(The fairies, the Pokémon, and Prince Philip quietly exit the dungeon room.)
