Chapter 19 Victoria vs. Fubuki: Darkness
"Now who is going to be the next victim?" Back at the volcano, Fubuki taunts the four Academia students in front of them.
"Yuri? Johan? Dennis? Kenzan!" At the same time, Yuzu's group arrives, with Yuri gasping in shock. "Yuzu! Don't get close!"
This causes them to freeze, but it is too late, Fubuki notices them and he says, "Hiiragi Yuzu. So you have come to us."
"Tenjoin Fubuki?" Victoria can only gasp in shock at the mask that she's wearing, and she can only mutter in shock. "No..."
"Even Fujiwara Victoria is here...what a surprise." Fubuki says. "It is thanks to your blood that I've been revived, but don't worry, I'm not going to take your blood because I have something else."
"You..." Victoria is incensed. Yuzu asks, "Wait, where is Asuka? How come she's never with you guys?"
"She's here." Yuri shows the card, and it causes them to widen their eyes in shock. "He is not Fubuki, he is Yami using his body and deck. The real Fubuki won't card his sister with cold blood."
"Damn it..." Ryu mutters.
"So you're saying that all I am just being a vessel for you? How about I show you how strong I am so that you won't underestimate me?" Victoria walks into the lava platform and Fubuki says, "Oh? Let's see if you have the guts, girl."
Then both of them activate their Duel Disks, with Victoria activating the Field Magic Crossover. Both of them yell, "Duel!" (Victoria:4000)(Fubuki:4000)
Victoria says, "I'll get the first turn. I Summon Clear Phantom! (ATK:1200/DEF:800 LV:3)"
After the Monster appears, Victoria says, "I set one card and end my turn."
Fubuki says, "My turn!" After drawing a card, he says, "I send Red-Eyes Black Dragon from my hand to the Graveyard so that I can Special Summon Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon! (ATK:2000/DEF:2000 LV:6) And with its effect, it gains a Level."
After the dragon appears, he says, "Battle! I attack Clear Phantom with Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon!"
Victoria braces for the attack as her monster is destroyed. (Victoria:4000-3200) Victoria says, "I use Continuous Trap: Memory Snatcher! With this card on the field, you can no longer check what cards are in your graveyard. And when Clear Phantom is destroyed, I can send your Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon to your graveyard and also the top 3 cards from your deck!"
Fubuki is surprised, and he can't see what cards he sent to the graveyard. Fubuki says, "I set one card and end my turn."
Dennis says, "So Fubuki can no longer see the cards in the graveyard...but he still knows that Red-Eyes Black Dragon and Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon are in there..."
"Yeah." Yuri says.
"My turn!" Victoria draws a card and says, "I Summon Clear Rage Golem! (ATK:1600/DEF:1800 LV:4)"
After the golem appears, Victoria yells, "Battle! I attack you directly with Clear Rage Golem! Clear Rage attack!"
Fubuki says, "I use Trap Card: Offensive Guard. I can halve the battle damage and draw one card."
Fubuki is blasted by the attack as he grits his teeth. (Fubuki:4000-3200)
"I'm not finished yet, when Clear Rage Golem attacks directly, for each card in your hand, you take 300 damage! There are 4 cards in your hand, so take 1200 damage!" (Fubuki:3200-2000)
Ryu says, "Good, now he only has half of his LP left!"
"Victoria can do this for sure!" Yuzu cheers.
"I set one card and end my turn." Victoria says while placing the card.
Fubuki says, "You seem to be doing a good job, however, I have some tricks on my sleeves. My turn!"
After drawing a card, he says, "I Summon Tuner Monster: Red-Eyes Zombie." (ATK:1200/DEF:1300 LV:3)
After the zombie with red eyes appears, Burno says, "Tuner Monster?"
"So it is not just Fusion, Ritual, and Xyz..." Dennis is shocked.
"And I use Magic Card: Swing of Memories! I can Special Summon a Normal Monster from my graveyard." Fubuki says.
"That's the card from Asuka..." Yuri mutters as he remembers how Asuka used to have that card.
"But with the effect of Memory Snatcher, you have to say the name of the monster right in the graveyard." Victoria says, but she knows it is no use, he has already sent Red-Eyes Black Dragon to the graveyard before the Continuous Trap.
"I know, and that's why I choose Red-Eyes Black Dragon. (ATK:2400/DEF:2000 LV:7)" Once the dragon is on the field, Fubuki says, "I tune the Level 7 Red-Eyes Black Dragon with Level 3 Red-Eyes Zombie! Synchro Summon! Come! The Zombified dragon with Red Eyes! Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon Lord! (ATK:2800/DEF:2400 LV:10)
After a dragon that is half ghost and half black appear on the field, Victoria is sweating. Fubuki says, "Battle! I attack Clear Rage Golem with Zombie Dragon Lord! Zombified Red-Eyes Burst!"
Victoria embraces the impact as she almost falls into the lava, much to everyone's shock. (Victoria:3200-2000)
"Victoria!" Everyone is worried about her, but she struggles to stand back up and says, "I'm fine..."
"I set one card and end my turn." Fubuki says with a smirk. "Do you see it? Thanks to this amazing power, I have control of even Synchro Summoning. You are no match for me."
"Why you..." Yuzu is angry, and Victoria says, "Aren't you too full of yourself? I haven't used my deck's strength just yet."
She stands back up and draws a card, she says, "I use Magic Card: Clear Sacrifice! I reveal Clear Vice Dragon in my hand, and banish both Clear Rage Golem and Clear Phantom in my graveyard to summon it!" (ATK:0/DEF:0 LV:8)
After the monster appears, Kenzan asks, "An ATK 0 monster? What is she planning?"
"When Clear Vice Dragon attacks, the ATK of the monster becomes twice the ATK of the attack target! (ATK:2800-5600)
"5600 ATK! With this, Victoria is going to win!" Yuzu cheers.
Fubuki suddenly runs and grabs an Action Card, he says, "Action Magic: Damage Banish, I negate the battle damage."
Just then, Fubuki manages to dodge the attack, much to the others' dismay. Sarah notices Victoria's face, which is showing concern for Fubuki. She asks, "Strange, she still has a card in her hand, why didn't she just use that card to destroy the Action Card?"
Yuzu asks, "What is Victoria thinking?"
Victoria is staring at the card in her hand, which turns out to be Honest. She starts to remember a conversation with Sakaki Yuni and Yuya back before the attack.
(Flashback)
Yuya, Yuni, and Victoria are in the Xyz Dimension's Different Dimension Airship while they are talking about Yami. Yuya says, "Tenjoin Fubuki is controlled by Yami, which is Darkness that takes the form of you, right?"
Victoria nods and Yuya says, "Did you remember how your ancestor, Fujiwara Yusuke, was defeated in the past?"
Victoria says, "I remember that Judai and Johan use Rainbow Neos and Honest to defeat him together. So you say that Honest might help us destroy the Darkness that is controlling Fubuki?"
Yuni says, "Maybe, but there is a problem. All of your deck monsters are DARK Attribute if Clear World is not affecting. Honest is a card that needs to be used with a LIGHT Attribute Monster."
Yuya says, "And that's why we're giving you this card."
He takes out a Magic Card and gives it to Victoria, who looks at it before nodding. "Thank you, I'll make sure to use this."
(Flashback Ends)
Victoria says, "I end my turn."
Fubuki says, "My turn!" After drawing a card, he smirks, "I guess it is time for me to finish you once and for all. I use Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon Lord's effect in my graveyard, by banishing Red-Eyes Zombie, I can Special summon it back to the field."
"What?" Everyone is shocked to see the Synchro Dragon back on the field, and Fubuki says, "When Red-Eyes Zombie is banished, I can treat Zombie Dragon Lord as Red-Eyes Black Dragon. And I'm not finished yet. I banish Red-Eyes Black Meteor Dragon in my graveyard and add one Red-Eyes Fusion from my graveyard!"
Just then, the Memory Snatcher glows, and Victoria says, "No way...Red-Eyes Fusion is one of the cards sent to the graveyard by Clear Phantom's effect?"
Fubuki says, "Since I add it from my hand, I'll just activate it. I fuse Red-Eyes Zombie Dragon Lord treated as Black Dragon, with two Red-Eyes Black Dragon in my Deck! Fusion Summon! Come forth! Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon!" (ATK:4000/DEF:3600 LV:10)
After the three-headed dragon appears on the field, Yuzu gasps, "4000 ATK? This is horrible!"
"But still, Victoria still has Clear Vice Dragon." Ryu says, "It only doubles the ATK."
"Monsters used by the Red-Eyes Fusion treat the monster as Fusion monsters, and that's why I use Magic Card: Black Flame Blast! I target Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon treated as Red-Eyes Black Dragon and give you damage equal to its ATK!"
Fubuki says as his eyes are glowing purple. "Now die! Take the 4000 damage!"
"Oh no! Victoria!" Everyone is panicking as Victoria starts to jump onto the platforms and grabs an Action Card. "Action Magic: Acceleration! I negate the effect damage!"
Victoria braces for the impact as she is almost knocked out of the platform. Fubuki yells, "WHY DON'T YOU JUST DIE ALREADY?!"
"That's because you are created by me, and I should be the one to finish you!" Victoria says.
"WHY YOU..." Fubuki then ends his turn, and Victoria closes her eyes, "Please...give me that card that I need..."
After drawing a card, she says, "It's here! I use Equip Magic: Book of Attribute to Clear Vice Dragon!"
After a book appears on top of Clear Vice Dragon, Victoria yells, "And I summon Honest from my hand!"
Honest appears on the field, and says, "Darkness can be defeated by light, and that's why I'm going to use Honest's light to finish you once and for all! Book of Attribute can let Vice Dragon have the same type as Honest! And since my Dragon is a Light Attribute, I can return Honest to my hand and use its effect! I add your Clear Vice Dragon's ATK to my monster!" (ATK:0-4000) "And when Clear Vice Dragon attacks, it gains double the amount of ATK from your monster to it!" (ATK:4000-12000)
"12000 ATK!" Burno says in delight. "This will be the end!"
"I WON'T LET YOU! TRAP CARD: Burst Breath! I release Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon and destroy all monsters whose DEF is lower than its ATK!" Fubuki yells.
"Oh no, if that works, Clear Vice Dragon is about to be destroyed!" Dennis says.
"Honest! Lend me my power! I send Honest to the graveyard and use Clear Vice Dragon's effect! I negate the effect of Burst Breath! So the attack continues!"
The light from the dragon starts to blind Fubuki, causing him to scream in pain as the light from Honest is trying to get Yami out of Fubuki.
"Do it." Honest materializes and grabs the darkness, and Victoria presses the carding button on her Duel Disk and the darkness is carded.
When everyone wakes up again, they find that they are not at the lava pit, but at the bottom of the volcano. Yuzu asks, "What just happened?"
Sarah says, "Did Victoria do it?"
And much to Yuri's surprise, Asuka's card is no longer there, but her body is also materialized. "Asuka?" Johan and Yuri try to shake her up, and she mutters, "Brother..."
After waking up, they find Fubuki lying on the ground. Asuka rushes to her and yells, "Brother!"
As she shakes him, he slowly wakes up and mutters, "Asuka...I'm sorry..."
"It's fine, Brother. I'm glad...you're back..." Asuka hugs her brother tightly as she cries, and Fubuki also hugs back.
Victoria is standing beside Yuzu and Sarah, and Sarah asks, "The reason why you didn't finish him before the turn that he summoned Red-Eyes Ultimate Dragon, is because you want to use Honest's power, right?"
"Yuya and Yuni told me that to defeat the darkness I created, I have to use the light energy. Honest has the light energy, and that's why I want to use it to finish him."
Ryu says, "But still, this is weird, but what about the Darkness that controls Fubuki?"
"It's here." Victoria shows the card of Darkness, "I have to guess that this card is how Fubuki was under her control."
"So you managed to card the mask..." Yuzu says while looking at how the Fusion members rush toward Fubuki.
In the Professor's room, Yami is holding her chest in pain as she yells, "CURSE YOU...VICTORIA...YOU'RE GOING TO PAY FOR IT!"
