America's pov

A few days later I still hadn't got a descent night of sleep and the amount of paperwork was still increasing .

So I groggily made my way to Maxon's office.

Blaming the fact that I was under rested almost the whole way, the newly discovered sickness gripping at the corner of me mind only becoming more pronounced

My steps where frustratingly slow as I walked down the hall the pressing force on my head and swirling in my stomach not helping.

For a moment I debated going to the garden but my vision was to bleary to locate the right door. So I struggled on only stopping when I saw a muscular figure coming my way.

Maxon, he might make fell better but at the same time I didn't want him to worry. He couldn't know.

My emotions where mixed as I was proven wrong when the voice asked," Mer are you okay ?"

Aspen

The question nagged in my ear, should I tell the truth?I quickly noticed I didn't have a choice when my voice wouldn't obey," mmhg"

The voice grew distance as Aspen asked, "Are you okay?"

I didn't have time to say anything before the world presented me with black. My last thought, I wonder if the ground could make a good pillow.

Aspen's pov

Being a trained guard I caught the queen of IIlèa with ease, not worrying if anyone saw me so close to mer. Well maby Maxon but he'll understand.

I debated going to the docter or to Maxon when Mer mumbled out, " don't you dare tell Maxy. "

Maxy?

I could have a laughing and teasing session later now was time for immediate action. I began running to the sick bay.

If Maxon asked directly about America I would have to tell the truth but for now I'll deliver this favour.

The sick room was like usual patient less with only one docter on duty. His eyes definitely become larger when he saw me caring the queen

His only suitable reply," oh dear!"

Just as the docter ran to us mer decided it was a good time to wake up. Even before her eyes where completely open she demanded to be put down.

Warly I put her down even though I was sure she would fall over the moment I took my support away.

Surprisingly she stayed upright and addressed the crowd of two, " I'm mostly fine but would like to take to the doctor alone if its not to much of a problem. "

I rolled my eyes she was queen nobody could really disobey her. I walked out to complete my duties as the docter nodded fiercely.

Wow, that was a big shock mer. Sadly sarcasm wasn't as effective in your own mind.

I walked slowly towards the Kings office, my next guarding point, regretting the question that was bound to be asked.

Do you know where America is?
