America's pov
I had a sinking suspension that I Knew what was wrong but still I told the docter, " I think I'm pregnant."
He nodded before asking," nausea, tiredness a bit of a headache?"
"Yes, to all of them"
He resumed with the asking, " Did you have a long night last night?" This time I just moved my head up and down. Not wanting to say yes almost every night since my and Maxon date.
"Mmmmm, okay we'll do a test with the sonar and if there is something you need to be bed rested for a day to recover a bit."
He began walking to the door leading to the machine, me walking close behind.
I went to sit in the only available chair will he put on gloves and took out a bottle with clear liquid.
He said holding the bottle a bit higher, " This gel will help me see inside the stomach area but it's going to be a bit cold, so may I?"
Again I only nodded not able to form words in anticipation.
The liquid was cold but worth it as the docter said," Ahh, see that tiny bit of darkness on the picture that's the fetus.
Tears of joy streamed down my face.
Maxon's pov
I sat in my office my fingers impatiently drumming against the wooden surface, where was America.
Not being able to bear the tap, tap ,tap sound any longer I pushed the chair back, winching at the loud squeaking sound it made.
I walked to the door, loosing my tie as I pushed the door open. I would find America on my own then.
Aspen, the guard who almost coast me my girl, stood rigid awaiting a order.
His face drawn in a way that seemed to beg don't ask that question I can't lie to you. My eyes narrowed in suspicion before I asked on of my wife's friends, " Do you know where America is, she was supposed to meet me here a while ago?"
He replied, " Yes your majesty."
Frustrated I continued the conversation, " So where is she?"
"Sick bay"
The blame rippled through me as I started running. I shouldn't have let her work all those late night even when she insisted.
As I picked up speed the voice behind me added,"Maxy"
I stopped dead in my tracks turning at the same time, "What was that officer Leger?"
Chuckling the reply came forward, "America called you that a while I was caring her to the docter. "
America called me that? Not that I would really stop her true but still this meant she was worse than I thought. I began running again I could think of a punishment for Aspen later.
