Apparently, she hadn't been alone in her search considering the soft clicking of heels she picked up as she once again jabbed her hand against the call button on the groaningly slow descending elevator.
True she'd much prefer to take the stairs given it would have been a much faster way of reaching her target but since it was still technically prom night not even her want to make completely sure her daughter was safe could make Talia Burns take one step towards what for other would be an innocent doorway.
"Margot." The hunter greets without turning around even to be sure her assumption was true.
"Talia." The vampire mother answers back with equal icy undertones even adding a smile once she noticed the already glowing button for the slow-moving elevator. "Wouldn't have thought I'd be seeing you here, considering the whispers about the 'MAAA's out and about attempting their own brand of wine cooler fueled peacekeeping." Margot goes on
"This isn't a hunter-related call," Talia confesses filing the information away for the moment as she shifts once again from foot to foot to attempt to get rid of another round of uneasy nerves. "C—Cal didn't make her call." The human mother goes on at the unspoken prompting in the sideways glance the legacy was giving her despite Margot not actually moving her head at all as they continued waiting. "I know she can take care of herself, but she isn't answering her phone and I just…."
"You're worried for her." Margot finishes her tone with one more sympathetic understanding as she too shifts her weight uneasily at this new information.
"Ben said Juliette was staying her for the night, so I figured…." Talia sighed at the same time the elevator finally pinged, and the doors slid open with only the smallest protesting groans. "I just want to know my daughter is safe."
"If it helps, she is here." Margot says after the two move in tandem into the elevator car. Margot this time reached over towards the controls. "I picked up her heartbeat the second I walked in." the vampire goes on as the doors slid closed signaling the car's groaning assentation to the higher floors. "and I'm like you. I want to know my daughter is safe."
Talia feels a little of her nerves ease at the vampire's words, but she knows that they won't disappear completely until she can lay eyes on her daughter for herself.
