Dianna's diary September 10th through December 31st

This will be a very long chapter with writing from at least every other to every 3rd day. I enjoy writing these longer chapters as it is easier for me idea wise. Age wise Elsie and Emily are almost 8 and Clara will be 5 this chapter
September 10th dear diary at 11:45 this morning I turned 11 and we celebrated with a spa party for Susie and I. when that was done, we went to her house for cake and ice cream. We then opened gifts I received so much fabric and other craft stuff its not funny my big gift is a new kitten as patch went over the rainbow bridge 3 weeks ago. I need to sign off mom needs my help packing.
September 11th dear diary today marks one year since September 11th occurred. Today was sort of a quiet day we went to a remembrance event. We also finished packing as we leave tomorrow morning early for Disney. I better sign off mom wants me to help make dinner and give the little 3 a bath.
September 18th sorry for not writing for a week but it's been crazy busy and today mom and dad were officially married. the ceremony was beautiful, and the reception was amazing. We leave for home tomorrow along with Ellen Madeline Ian and Daniel who are going to stay with us while mom and dad are in Hawaii for their honeymoon. I better sign off its late and I am exhausted.
September 29th we have had a busy 11 days as mom and dad came home the 25th and we left again the 26th for a grand opening of the first chain of her store. I need to sign off dads calling me be right back ok here's what's going on mom is having some issues and dad's taking her to the hospital. I will write when I know more about what's going on, later it looks like mom could have the babies about 8 weeks early. They are due December 3rd and moms already in early labor, so they are trying to hold things off a few more days.
October 2nd dear diary its only 2 in the morning but I have been up since 10 as mom went into labor 8 weeks early. 3:15 DAD CALLED GWYENETH WAS BORN AT 2:55 GEORGIA AT 3:00 THEY BOTH WEIGH JUST 2 POUNDS 3 OUNCES AND ARE 11 INCHES LONG. dad has just sent pictures they are tiny but adorable they are identical twins who look a lot like dad but with mom's and my chin and high cheekbones. I will write this afternoon I need to sleep as I have been up since 10. Its 10:00 and I just told the younger 3 about the new babies they are excited. I showed them the pictures and Clara keeps calling them her babies. I am signing off I need to make lots of calls to announce the news.
October 4th dear diary the twins are 2 days old, and mom was able to hold them skin to skin this morning. The girls Madeline Ellen and I spent today starting to organize a baby Winnie the pooh nursery. We had a lot of help from the gang and their families. Emily and I started knitting hats for the girls and other babies in the unit they are on.
We are also working on several other projects and Madeline and Ian took me to the shelter where I got a 4 month old kitten named socks. She is grey with 3 white socks and a white bib. We got her all set up and are going to take it easy it's been a busy few days and we are exhausted.
October 10th we have all been very busy with school lessons and much more. Mom and dad have updated us everyday on the twins they are slowly gaining weight and getting stronger. We have been able to see them through a special window 3 times, which has been so cool. They have started getting some pale blond fuzz its cute. We celebrated Ellen's 61st birthday with dinner and a movie. She loves old Disney movies. Signing off its time for gifts cake and ice cream, her big gift is a certificate allowing her to adopt her first pet.
October 20th dear diary we have had another crazy busy few days we all had a stomach virus then all 3 younger girls got strep, and I caught bronchitis. We are finally feeling mostly better but have no energy so I will write the 31st.
October 31st dear diary happy Halloween its been a crazy few days as we were all sick then mom had some stuff going on that we needed to help deal with. We all went trick or treating tonight before going to see something special the nurses and parents dressed the babies on the unit my sisters are on in cute costumes. Mom had made the girls mermaid tail blankets. They were adorable and so sweet to see dressed up like that.
The girls are officially just over 3 pounds and are doing pretty good considering they were born 2 months early. Signing off I need to pack the older kids are leaving for Washington DC for 10 days I will write as soon as I can but it may be the 10th before I write again sorry diary
November 11th dear diary we arrived home last night from an amazing trip to our nation's capital. We saw so many amazing things and learned so much. We almost all know the presidents in order thanks to a song we learned this is special as is the fact we saw several memorials that coincide with today being veterans' day thanks to my dad and everyone who has served or is serving. I am going to sign off and do the twins and my laundry as we were all gone, and they are still learning how to do it themselves.
November 21st dear diary I didn't write the last 10 days as I have been dealing with Clara who has been in the hospital with severe Pneumonia. She is doing better but is still pretty sick she will be 5 the 23rd so hope she's better for that. Add to this that the twins and I have had bronchitis, its been nuts. I will write when I can as I need to help both here at the hospital and at home.
November 25th dear diary Clara got home late the 23rd and we will celebrate her birthday this weekend along with thanksgiving. She is better but will need nebulizer treatments till after Christmas and any time she gets a cold form now on. I am signing off till the 1st as its been hectic and I need to unwind.
December 1st we celebrated Clara's birthday yesterday her big gift was a reborn baby. She was so excited to get her plus a ton of clothes a baby bed dad made and more. We call her the little mommy as she loves both dolls and real babies. The twins will get to come home tomorrow as they are officially 5 pounds each and only 1 day short of their due date, we are all very excited and I may only write a few more times this month.
December 11th dear diary the babies have been home 9 days and are doing amazing they are adorable, and mom said each is developing her own personality. Gwen is quiet and serious while Georgia is fussy and knows what she wants. Clara is being so cute as she wants to help mom with everything for as she says her babies. Mom just called I need to sign off she needs me to help Ellen and Madeline with supper.
December 24th dear diary it's been crazy getting ready for Christmas so I have not been able to write. Tonight, we opened secret Santa gifts I bought Gwen clothes and books plus made her a mobile for the crib she Bought Clara dolls and doll clothes, Clara with my help made Georgia a matching mobile and bought her clothes. Georgia gave Emily a bunch of craft supplies, she gave Elsie books, and a bunch of notebooks pens and pencils, and Elsie gave me craft stuff a hair dryer and a straightener. Mom made Ellen a shelf for her bedroom and bought her a lot of clothes as she has lost 35 pounds. Ellen bought Clothes smelly stuff as we call bath stuff and books for Madeline who Bought mom Clothes and had Dad and I help make a rocking chair for the baby's room. Dad Bought Daniel some tools and work shirts he is an auto mechanic. He bought Ian who is learning to be one a bunch of tools he needs. And Ian bought dad some new woodworking tools and work shirts. We all received new church clothes and our traditional Christmas pajamas, signing off we just got home from midnight mass, and I am exhausted.
December 25th dear diary we spent the morning opening gifts I received a ton of craft stuff books hair stuff make up and my big ticket item my own sewing room in the attic as mom's is sort of cramped with all our stuff in there. Elsie received lots off books some hair stuff clothes including crazy socks and her big ticket item a special trip with mom to meet her favorite Author and attend a writing workshop, Emily received a lot of craft stuff clothes hair stuff her big ticket item is a 200$ gift certificate and shopping spree with mom at a craft expo next spring. Clara received a bunch of dolls doll accessories clothes and hair stuff her big ticket item is a trip to pick out an American girl doll of her choice with Dad next month. The twins got clothes and other items they will need. Signing off its dinner time and I am wound up so need to relax.
December 31st dear diary we spent 6 days just relaxing and enjoying family time we are currently in Dad's hometown in Maine visiting for a week we arrived here late yesterday afternoon, our big family trip for this year is touring the United States in a motor home through out the year the goal is to hit all 50 states and our capital by next December. This should be an amazing adventure. The others are taking their own trips although Susie and Theresa will be traveling with us and her brother with Ali's family as their parents work and can't take time off very easily. Signing off mom needs help getting the babies to sleep they both have ear infections.
