Dianna's diary November through January age 13
November 1st dear diary it's been a hard day the moms have started to lose their hair, we all went and got hair cuts and the boys and dads shaved their heads. We knew this would happen but its still hard to deal with. I will write the 14th as I along with Zack are going with Madeline to our state history competition.
November 14th dear diary today I found out I won 1st place in my age division for the history competition and Zack came in 2nd we are both going to nationals in March. We arrived home to chaos Rose and Violet were screaming as they had both managed to fall down the steep basement steps. Dad and I took them to urgent care, and both have a severely sprained wrist.. They are the 3rd set of mirror twins in our family so in Rose's case its her left side that's injured and in Violet's her right side. They are both wound up hurting and crabby but with them being on the autism spectrum that's to be expected.
When we got them home mom had ordered pizza, so we ate a late supper, then ended up back at urgent care as Madeline has a mild kidney infection while we were there, dad found out he has walking pneumonia. As I can't handle this all on our own, he called my French grandma who will be here tomorrow thank goodness. As dad can't be here, he is at Kai and Kya's. signing off I need to start cleaning the house and help mom get settled at Susie's I am on my own tonight as Ellen and Daniel had to fly out to New York as his dad passed away. signing off its hectic here right now.
November 20th dear diary we have had a chaotic few days between Violet and Rose being injured and dad and Madeline being sick. Violet and Rose as it turns out broke not sprained their wrists. We found that out the 16th. They are both in a pink and purple striped cast and are doing pretty well. Madeline ended up in the hospital until yesterday her infection got worse. Dad came home the 16th as he had been on meds for 1.5 days. And we are finally mostly back to normal and are in prep for friends giving and my first black Friday shopping trip.
November 25th dear diary we had so much fun shopping today we left at 3 in the morning with Madeline and Susie's sister Alicia. We hit over a dozen stores, and all scored several great deals. When we got home Ellen had just gotten back but was staying in their cottage as she suspected she may have bronchitis. Ian took her and Daniel who has a sore throat to urgent care they both have Bronchitis and flu b. they are quarantined to their cottage till the 1st as a precaution. I will write then diary as the next 6 days are going to be crazy.
December 1st dear diary we spent today setting up all the Christmas decorations, we then decorated both inside and outside the house. In big news today at just short of 14 months old Georgia took 3 steps and I suspect Gwen will start any day now, this was so special to witness she walked from the edge of the sofa 3 steps to Elsie. Be right back Emily is calling me, Gwen took her 1st 3 steps to Emily from the Ottoman, this was such a special day for those 2 as they were born early and have Cerebral palsy. They may be behind other babies but will do things on their own time.
Other special things that happened Rose and Violet both earned straight a grades and Violet our sports mad girl found out she made the Swim team, while Rose who plays Violin has been asked to perform in a local all kids orchestra. These are major accomplishments for them, as in their old home they were treated very badly. Due to this treatment they both have some health challenges, including food allergies dental problems and a few other things I can't remember right now. Signing off mom wants my help ordering Christmas dresses and needs to measure the girls and I.
December 2nd dear diary we all worked on various crafts today I was sat working on a tote bag for Zack while Emily sat next to me working on mittens for dad. Across the room Elsie was writing something she wont show anyone while Clara was making a doll dress and Rose and Violet sat coloring. We were doing this as its blizzarding badly right now and we may lose power so I may not write for several days we just lost power so signing off.
December 6th dear diary we finally got electricity back this morning and dad took Madeline Emily Elsie and I to get groceries and restock the freezer we lost everything we had due to the electricity going out. We started at Costco and Sam's club, then hit the grocery store and a local discount store. We then stopped and dad ordered sushi pizza and burgers for the whole gang and their families as we were all celebrating our friend Christmas very early. We are doing so as each family has plans of their own this year. Tommy's family was going to the Caribbean with his uncle Ben's family they leave late tonight, Chuckie and Kimi are leaving for Japan the 9th, Ali and her family leave the 12th for Germany. Phil and Lil and their mom are going to Boston on the 13th their parents split up when we were 10 and Mrs. Betty came out as Bisexual, Kate was not here as they left yesterday for the Ukraine to see family. Sam and Jake and their families where heading to the mountains as soon as dinner was over, Alex and His cousin are leaving early in the morning for Georgia. Angelica and Harold's family left an hour ago to fly to Alabama. Kai and Kya leave tonight for the Philippines while MinJun and JiYeon left about 2 hours ago for Korea. Jack and Jamie and their families are leaving tomorrow for Colorado.
My family Zack's family Susie's family and my cousins are staying in town, but we won't see much of each other. Dad just left for the airport He took Madeline and Ian to catch a flight to Florida, we will see them there in a couple weeks as they along with Ellen and Daniel are getting married at Disney. This is ok with moms' doctor if she is very carful about staying healthy. Signing off to start packing we leave the 10th, and I will only write when I have time this is our busy time of year.
December 11th we arrived in Florida last night and are settled in our special Disney themed house. We rent this house every time we come down here so its nice, to have a place we can call home. We spent today in the pool before going to finalize wedding details for Ellen. She is wearing her mom's wedding dress has new shoes, borrowed my silver necklace and her flowers are wrapped in blue fabric. The day of the wedding she will have a penny for her shoe. Her dress is so pretty its long made of lace and satin. It looks like it was made for her. Mom will walk her down the aisle. And dad will stand with Daniel as he did for dad. We then had food delivered to the house as the wedding has been moved to the back yard of the house. This makes it safer for mom as they won't have a ton of people just us Ellen's best friend Ann and her husband, Daniel's friend Jake and his fiancée. Daniel's mom Sister and aunt will be here tomorrow to celebrate with them as well. Susie's family and Zack's family will arrive the 23rd and be here until the 1st. we don't head home until the 3rd as dad has meetings near here the 2nd. Signing off I need to help clean up the kitchen and take care of the leftovers.
December 15th dear diary we celebrated our family Christmas today as with 2 weddings next week this is when we could fit it in. secret Santa wise, I got Clara a new doll a doll bed and several outfits that come with matching baby outfits. She got Rose several new music books some dresses for concerts and a bunch of cute hair ties ribbons and head bands, Rose bought Georgia toys books and a special walking toy. Georgia bought Elsie several new books and writing accessories, Elsie got Violet several swimsuits and a few other swim and sport items. Violet got Gwen clothes books and a walking toy, while Gwen bought Elizabeth several new yarns sewing things and her own sewing box. Elizabeth bought me clothes and a whole new sewing basket including all new tools. Mom had made Ellen a special veil for the wedding and bought her several clothes, Madeline received a veil and clothes from Ellen and bought mom clothes books and several hats. Dad and the other 2 guys bought clothes and tools for each other.
From mom and dad, the family gift is a pool for the back yard and a trampoline. I received several new clothes as I have shot up another inch so am 5 5 and a half, I also got sewing stuff books make up hair stuff and my big gift is a new rocking chair that dad made a bunch of fabric mom's assistant had given her it belonged to her grandmother, and new shelfs for the sewing room, Elsie our bookworm and writer received books hair stuff writing stuff and her 2 big items a desk dad made and a laptop her computer chair will be here the beginning of next year. Emily who recently got into beadwork received several sets of new beads hair stuff knitting items and her 2 big items a desk from dad and a 400 dollar gift card to our local craft store.
Clara aka the little mommy got several dolls clothes books hair stuff and her big items Kit and Ruthie from American girl. Rose got several outfits and music related items her 2 big items a new violin and a music stand with carrying case for her orchestra travels. Violet aka the little fish got several more swimsuits clothes hair stuff and her 2 big items a lesson with a professional swimmer and diving lessons. Gwen and Georgia received several outfits toys and books their big items are things to help with their development. Signing off till the 26th as we are in official wedding mode.
December 26th Ellen's wedding was beautiful and so much fun to be at. We were all honored to be there as it was special for not only her but us. They left last night for a 2 week honeymoon in Rome and Italy. We spent today just relaxing and saw Daniel's family leave and Madeline and Ian's arrive their weddings is only 5 days away. here to help them celebrate are Dads Sister Kim and her husband Joe Madeline's sister Rebecca and her fiancé, Madeline's best friend Reggie and her Fiancé Sam, and Ian's best friend Anthony and his new wife. Ian's parents and brother arrive the 30th as they are out of the country right now. I will write the 1st as its going to get crazy again.
January 3rd dear diary sorry for not writing till now the days were crazy busy and I couldn't find the time to write. We had an amazing time at the wedding it was beautiful. They are in Japan for their honeymoon and will be back in 10 days. I will write in a bit Emily Elsie Clara, and I need to go to Ali's we have sore throats which is not safe for mom. We are at Ali's her mom took us to be checked out we have strep and can go home the 5th. Signing off Clara is being stubborn and won't take her meds.
January 5th as we left Ali's dad brought the other 4 over, they now have what looks like strep. We went and cleaned the house well so mom can come home from Susie's. I spent the afternoon cooking several freezer meals and doing some baking for the freezer as well. We are doing this not only for the families who have moms with cancer but Angelica's family as well. I made 4 Mexican tater tot hot dish's 4 lasagna's and several other hot dish's. in the baking area Elsie and I made cookies brownies caramel rolls without the cinnamon and other breakfast treats. We delivered it all this evening and then mom ordered Mexican food for supper as a special treat she found out today that as of right now she has had 2 clear scans and is only 8 weeks from finishing chemo. We are all very excited abo about this as this has been very stressful. We all are excited for her and the other moms as like I said earlier this was a challenge for all of us. Signing off to watch the little kids so dad can take Kai and Kya to the airport they must leave for a family emergency and their mom's already in the Philippines.
January 10th dear diary mom had a surprise for Emily and I we went and got to spend our Christmas money at the craft store. We then went on a lunch date just the 3 of us before going home so mom could grab Elsie and Clara for some time with them. They went to a local movie theater for a throwback showing of Dumbo, then out for ice cream. Tomorrow she's taking Rose and Violet for a spa day the Gwen and Georgia to a play place for kids with Disabilities. She and dad try to do this monthly so we all get some time either 1 on 1 or 2 on 1. Tomorrow dads taking me Shopping for some stuff he needs to make mom a new desk for her sewing room, the other one broke yesterday evening. He said he is also getting me a tool kit, as all women need to be able to do repairs and not need to rely on a man. Signing off till the 20th as after dad and I get back tomorrow we need to leave for his aunt's his uncle passed away late yesterday.
January 30th sorry for not writing like I said I would after the funeral everything got crazy, dad severely injured his shoulder and had surgery yesterday, Ellen had emergency surgery for a severely infected gallbladder. I have yet again broken 3 toes a I caught my foot on the dumb baby gate, we found out I am nearly done growing I may add an inch or an inch and a half but that's it. We also had another round of strep go through the hose so that's not a good thing. Signing off mom needs help with some dresses she's making for the shop window.
