February 2nd dear diary I was busy helping mom with the store yesterday as it was busy, and her 2nd assistant is out the whole month with 3 broken ribs. Today we had 2 very important clients, I can't mention names but can say they are famous. Emily has decided to try her hand at modeling and acting. So, after work she mom Elsie and I went and purchased several outfits and accessories. She is not as into art as she used to be so this may be a good change for her.
After we finished, we met dad and the others at a local German restaurant. For family Saturday dinner each Saturday we all eat out together and we all take turns picking. This has become a favorite tradition and after dinner we go see a movie go to a play or some other special event. These are our only day someone doesn't have an evening activity. Signing off we are going to see a play by the little theater for the deaf that mom's friend Allison is staring in.
February 3rd dear diary we went to Emily's photo shoot this morning it was amazing first a lady looked through all the outfits we brought and selected 4. She then looked through the props and accessories we had brought to see what she wanted to use. My job was to help her change outfits before each set of pictures. Mom was handling the accessories and props while, Elsie oversaw getting things we missed. The 1st outfit was a pink dress and white tights with pink hearts, she was sat at a table with her dolls having a tea party. next a simple picture of her in a pair of nice black pants and her favorite yellow sweater. Then in her formal dress in a carriage with her dolls. The last one was my favorite she wore her yellow silk dress and carried a fan while setting at a backdrop that looked like China.
We then left for evening church services as we are attending them instead of morning. This works out better as Violet has swim practice from 6 to 9 every morning and then again from 3 to 5 each evening. She is such a little fish and loves the water, while she's at class Rose has Violin each morning and Orchestra each evening. we take our extra activities very seriously; Clara recently started a cooking class and loves it she is still the little mommy though. Add to this my piano and voice lessons and Georgia and Gwen's adaptive riding class we are busy. Signing off mom needs me to help with Sunday dinner as Ellen is in bed with a migraine and Madeline is having tummy issues.
February 5th dear diary we found out yesterday that the reason Madeline's tummy has been angry is she's 6 weeks pregnant. Meaning she will be a mommy the end of September or begging of October. She is so excited as are we she saw my Auntie Hellen yesterday as she is a midwife, and my cousin Marie is a midwife in training. Madeline wants a natural birth if possible. The due date estimate is October 12th, which would be the baby's great grandfathers 90th birthday if he was still here.
I am also happy to announce that mom only has 3 chemo treatments left and as of yesterday is cancer free. This is very big news as we have been worried about her this whole time. We also welcomed a new furry family member a golden doodle named snickers, she belonged to a very close friend of dads who passed away last month. She is 12 weeks old and very cute. We were chosen from a group of 4 people who had a chance to get her. We were chosen as we are already a dog family, and she loves kids. Signing off mom needs to take us for hair cuts and take snickers for a checkup.
February 10th the last 5 days were the bad kind of crazy we had a nasty stomach virus and then ear infections. We are all feeling better we did get some sad news my French great grandma has been diagnosed with blood cancer, she has declined treatment as treatment would be hard for her as she's 100. She is now on hospice and only has possibly 3 months left. We are all upset about this and as my family has cancer on both sides and several people have passed from it, I need a lot of blood work and scans. We go for these tomorrow and the next day I will stay over night but will be home for Rose and Violet's 4th birthday on Valentine's Day. I will write the 13th as I am busy until then with tests and other work Zack will be with me during testing as he also needs it due to his family history.
February 13th I got home last night and we will know my results with in the next 3 weeks, I had several blood tests 3 or 4 different scans and more. We celebrated Rose and Violet's birthday a day early as we are leaving tomorrow for New York to see a musical. They both got clothes and hair stuff the big items are Rose's special music lessons with a famous violin player. Violet received more diving lessons and more lessons with a female Olympic swimmer. They are both so excited about this and to officially go to a real musical the 15th.
February 16th dear diary we have had such an amazing time on this trip we saw wicked on Broadway yesterday and today we did a lot of shopping. And today we took the girls to see all the sights it was so much fun. We yet again got our new formals at one of mom's favorite shops here in the big apple. She knows all the best places to eat and shop as she went to collage here. Signing off we are leaving in about half an hour.
February 20th dear diary we didn't get home until yesterday as we got stuck in Boston due to a huge snowstorm. That was an adventure let me tell you. It was still an amazing vacation, but I hope to never be stuck in an airport again. That part sucked it was crowded loud and people were acting like toddlers and being mean to the staff. This made mom and I so angry and she actually told one woman to close her mouth if she couldn't talk to the teller without swearing. I got involved when a lady decided to call a baggage handler with a disability a very nasty word that I will not repeat, I told her to never use that word against any one ever again, she was shocked that a kid went after her.
The lady behind me started clapping when she walked off. I am in a tiny bit of trouble for that, but I don't give a shit sorry diary for the naughty word. I am grounded for 3 days as mom said I should have let her handle the situation as it could have gotten ugly. I realized that after the fact and can understand why I am grounded.
February 23rd dear diary mom completed chemo today which is so great. As I am ungrounded mom let Zack and I go out for ice cream and at 12 I GOT MY FIRST CHEEK KISS THAT WAS NOT FROM A FAMILY MEMBER. This is special mom has said cheek kisses only until I am 14. She took me this evening and had my colors done and a makeup consult. I am a spring whose power colors include a burnt orange and a royal blue. For makeup I got blush powder foundation lip gloss and eyeshadow. Mom said no lipstick until I am 15 gloss is enough for now, we also got me some face wipes makeup remover special soap and shampoo.
As a young lady I need to take good care of my skin and hair she wants me to brush my hair which goes to just below my bra line twice a day, wash my face twice a day and wash my hair every other day instead of every 3rd day. We then went for a bra fitting my old ones are getting small. I need to sign off tomorrow is a crazy day we all have several appointments.
February 25th dear diary we had a full day of appointments yesterday to recap I had a dermatology appointment she gave me a cream and a face wash for my acne. She also prescribed a cream for mine Georgia and Gwen's eczema. We then had my orthodontist consult I do not need braces. all had other appointments as well, so it was a crazy day after all the appointments were done, we headed to various activities I had a voice lesson dad took Gwen and Georgia to riding, Rose and Violet had their lesson's mom took Emily to a meet an agent while Madeline took Clara to her cooking class and Ellen took Elsie to young writers' group.
When we were all done Madeline was craving pizza, so Ian treated us all to a local buffet. When this was done, we all needed to go shoe shopping before a movie with the gang, we got back an hour ago and Mom Ellen and I are going to have tea and cookies before bed I will write tomorrow.
February 28th dear diary sorry for not writing the last 2 days we were busy mom and I met with my doctor to go over all the tests I had done they show that I have a slightly higher risk then most people to develop some type of cancer. I will need yearly testing and scans to keep an eye on things. Zack's tests showed the same things so like me he will be monitored. We then went to a follow up on my back the curves actually gotten a lot worse instead of better. So like mom I need the surgery I along with Susie Kimi Ali and Kate will have it done the 3rd. What happens is they go in and use 2 rods to fuse the spine to correct the curve. I will have preop testing within the next couple days. This is major surgery so we will be having it at a children's hospital a few hours away. the same day Elsie and Emily will both have their final open heart surgery and Clara is having a major operation on her arm as she was born with only part of her left arm they are going in and separating 2 fingers and adding some other things I can't remember. Mom Ellen my auntie Grace and Grandma will stay with the 4 of us, while dad Madeline and my auntie Kim will run the house.
We spent the evening going over everything so we can quickly figure things out before surgery. This was an unexpected thing as we thought it was going to be getting better. But like mom it got worse even in the brace. Signing off we have preop bright and early tomorrow and I need to pack for at least a 10 day hospital stay. And add to this the other 4 have surgery for a couple things the 8th it will be crazy.
March 4th dear diary I had my surgery yesterday and am doing ok but am hurting really bad. Clara and I are sharing a room in the pediatric ward. While Elsie and Emily are sharing a room on the cardio ward, they can possibly move down here tomorrow. signing off until the 20th as I need time to recover.
March 24th dear diary we all got to come home the 13th but we all are still on extremely strict orders to take it easy through the beginning of next month Clara and I started rehab yesterday and will have therapy 3 times a week. In other news the other 4 had minor surgeries the 8th Rose and Violet had their tonsils out and ear tubes in while Gwen and Georgia had surgery for very tight muscles in their legs. They are also recovering but we are all doing good so far. Signing off I am exhausted and need to rest I will write the 31st.
March 31st dear diary we celebrated easter today we each received a full basket with things to do while we recover and several Disney store gift cards. We also had one basket of just our favorite snacks and treats in mine there were 4 big bags of bunch a crunch several bags of chili cheese chips, some peanut butter crackers and 2 12 packs of diet coke. For Elsie there were 4 big bags of Butterfinger bites several bags of salt and vinegar chips, some cheese crackers and 2 12 packs of diet dr. pepper cream soda. For Emily there were 4 big bags of M&M minis several bags of plain baked chips, some goldfish in the pizza flavor and 2 12 packs of diet root beer. For Clara there were 4 big bags of Hershey Mini's several bags of onion ring chips some goldfish in the pretzel flavor and 2 12 packs of diet sprite. For Rose there were 4 big bags of all pink starburst as she and Violet are allergic to Chocolate several bags of dill pickle potato chips, some ritz bitz Peanut butter crackers and 2 12 packs of diet orange soda Violet got 4 big bags of banana taffy several bags of Cheetos some ritz bitz in the cheese flavor and as she doesn't care for soda, she received 24 bottles of her favorite strawberry watermelon sparkling waters. Gwen and Georgia are too little for treats so they each had 2 baskets of toys. We made a huge easter dinner and watched several specials its time for bed so I will write tomorrow.
April 6th sorry about not writing like in was supposed to we ended up having to fly to Maine as Dad's brother Chris his girlfriend Jane and Great aunt Ann, were in a very bad car accident and none of them made it. This is very hard to deal with and very scary. I am glad the little 5 were too busy to attend, as it was Emily Elsie, and I had a tough time. But out of this ordeal 2 more little girls Rebeca age 10 and Savannah age 5 will join our family they are Uncle Chris's girls from his first marriage. Well, I need to sign off mom wants help decorating a dance room and a science room for the girls.
April 7th dear diary the girls are getting settled in here pretty well, but they definitely miss their mom and dad, their mom passed 2 years ago from a brain thing. They both started lesson's today Rebeca is into steam which is science technology engineering art and math she in a group dedicated to girls in this field, while savannah is the little ballerina. She has been dancing since she was 2. I need to sign off I will write the 10th the newest family members need help getting their stuff unpacked and put away.
April 10th dear diary we spent today helping at the local shelter as it was volunteer day, we saw over a dozen pets get adopted including a boxer named sugar. She was adopted by Zack's family who recently lost their old boxer Sampson. We then went to a local ice cream store as a special treat. I need to sign off for the next few weeks as we are going to finish our fifty state adventure and spend several days in Canada seeing friends of dads who have recently adopted a baby.
