Chapter 10: Super Potions! The Funny Shark Monster!

One would have to be pretty dumb to miss the Headquarters of the Potion Coven. For the place looks like a factory with smokestacks since the Potion Witches are always brewing something, and their whole magic centers around this.

Today, Vitimir, the Head Witch, was overseeing his fellow Potions Witches creating the formulas to make the fireworks that were going to be shown at the upcoming festival.

Suddenly, a bunch of balloons floated into the room, much to the confusion of everyone in the room. Then the balloons all burst releasing purple smoke. From the smoke emerged a group of hooded individuals led by a strange creature. It wore an off-white clown suit, with three red, fuzzy buttons on the front. The shoulders were large and ruffled, while the sleeves had long frills to hide the webbed, clawed hands of this creature. The baggy design of the suit made it appear as if the creature had no bulk to it, but underneath that suit was lean muscle, stronger than any witch or beast of the Isles could muster. The creature wore black and white boots with a red fuzzy ball at the tip of the toes. Protruding from a hole in the back was a short, sickly pale fin like a shark. But the real horror of this creature was its face. It had a rigid skull shape, with the same sickly pale skin. It had a long, flat nose that was about two feet in length. Its black, beady eyes shone in the light from the glowing potion vats, and had sharp red lines painted below and under its eyes. Around its mouth was red lipstick-like paint, but when the creature went to smile, its upper and lower lip peeled back and revealed its gums, showing off its rows of sharp, serrated teeth. This was Shark Clown.

"Heh-heh-heh-ahaha-hahaha! I am Shark Clown, Priestess of Dogma," she announced, "and this is the end of the Potion Coven!"

But before they could attack, the whole room was engulfed in steam and only the sounds of punches and kicks being landed could be heard. When the steam cleared, the Hooded Followers were knocked out and laid out across the floor. Standing in the middle of them was what appeared to be a male Potion Witch with a black bouffant hairstyle, covering his ears.

"Who the hell are you?" demanded Shark Clown.

The man just looked at the Kaijin. "Kazuya Oki," he announced, "of the Sincere Shaolin Fist!"

"What a nuisance." Shark Clown remarked, "Could you do me a tinsy favor? Drop dead for me!" She snaps her fingers as more balloons appear in the room and burst apart to reveal more Hooded Followers.

Kazuya jumped into the fight, kicking one of the Hooded Followers into the wall, leaving a body sized impression. The human quickly moved onto the second, punching him repeatedly in the chest before delivering one more strong punch, also sending him flying into a wall. Kazuya sensed a third about to make a grab for him, but swiftly slid to the right to avoid the grab. In retaliation, Kazuya grabbed that same Follower's arm, swung him around, and then kicked them in the side into another Follower. The human warrior squares up another and kicks another Follower in the left thigh, throwing them off balance as they fell to the floor, where Kazuya followed up with a strong punch to the gut, knocking them out. A Hooded Follower ducked to sweep Kazuya's legs from under him, but he saw this at the last second and jumped to avoid the attack before kicking that same follower in the face before landing. Two more tried to assault him, however, Kazuya blocked the first one's attack and struck him shoulder with chop, forcing that Follower to back away in pain. The second was grabbed by Kazuya and thrown across where they landed on a table and broke it in half.

The Hooded Followers were getting frustrated, he was just one man, how were they being overpowered so easily? Three of them decided to attack at once, but that proved to be a mistake. Kazuya briefly glanced over his shoulder just in time to perform a back kick into that Follower's chest. He quickly recovered and threw an elbow strike to the second to the side of their head. The third was almost upon him, but Kazuya jumped over him and behind a table. Once there, Kazuya kicked the table, hard, sending it hurtling towards the third Follower as it crashed into him and sent the Follower sprawling onto the floor.

One of the Hooded Followers tried to dropkick Kazuya, but the master of the Sincere Shaolin Fist easily dodged the kick, waited for that Follower to fall to the ground, and once they had, Kazuya raised his right foot and brought it down in a stomp onto their gut, knocking the wind out of them. Two others came at him from the sides, but Kazuya struck the first to his left with his right fist, and quickly retracted into an elbow strike to take out the one on his right, dropping both of them at nearly the same time. The next one performed a high kick to try and strike at Kazuya's head, but Kazuya managed to get in close, blocking the kick with his left arm. Kazuya raised his right hand and brought it down in a karate chop to the Follower's right side, causing them to fall to the ground in pain.

Shark Clown cocked her head to the side, disappointed by the performance of her minions. "Wow, I'd say that was pathetically funny, but I'm not laughing." Shark Clown cracked her neck and raised her fists in a comedic version of an old timey boxer. "C'mon then, put up your dukes!"

Kazuya obliged the Kaijin and dashed straight for her. Shark Clown spun her right arm around and then thrust it forward in a punch. That same arm stretched further and further to the point that it was about to strike Kazuya in the face. Luckily the kung fu warrior managed to slide under the extending arm at the last second, missing the punch entirely. Kazuya sprang back to his feet and swiftly jumped into the air as he came down with a flying kick. Shark Clown put on a serious expression, but then it's face contorted as it went, "Ah…Ah…Ah…" just before Kazuya landed his kick, the monster sneezed. "Achoo!"

A burst of confetti and streamers appeared where Shark Clown was as Kazuya's kick only managed to hit the air. He rolled on the ground, got back up, and into a ready stance. All the while, Kazuya could hear the monster's mocking laughter echoing in the room. The tall metal drums filled with various concoctions and metal rafters made gave the monster good places to hide.

"Come out, monster!" Kazuya ordered.

"Hmmm? Nope!"

Small, red, marble shaped objects fell around Kazuya's position. The man looked down and saw that many of them had lit fuses and all of them had painted yellow eyes with white sharp toothed grins. Kazuya didn't wait as he ran from that spot just as a dozen explosions went off, her rolled on the floor under a table, but then some more "cherry bombs" were dropped on his location. Kazuya scrambled out from under the table as more explosions went off, all while Shark Clown kept laughing her head off. The martial artist managed to avoid getting blown up a second time, but with Shark Clown hiding in the shadows and away from his fists, taking her down was not going to be easy.

"Newcomer."

Kazuya turned around just in time to see Vitimir throw a flask his way. The martial artist quickly caught it before it could shatter on the floor, prompting Kazuya to look back at the Potion Coven leader.

"Shake it, and throw it high!" Vitimir explained.

Kazuyan nodded to Vitimir as he shook the flask as hard as he could before jumping into the air and tossing it high.

Shark Clown was sticking to the shadows as best she could, readying another batch of cherry bombs to rain down on her victim. However, as she was preparing, she saw a flask filled with something that was glowing come closer and closer towards her. "What in the-?" Suddenly, the flask exploded, releasing a blinding light that forced the witches below and Kazuya to look away. Unfortunately, Shark Clown could not close her eyes, because she technically had no eyelids. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH! MY EYES! MY EYES!" Shark Clown dropped down from the ceiling like a lead weight, right onto a table which broke apart.

When Kazuya opened his eyes, he saw Shark Clown, who had now gotten back to her feet, but was no less screaming in pain from the impromptu flash grenade. The Kaijin stumbled back and forth until she was perfectly positioned right by a window. Deciding to seize this opportunity, Kazuya ran full speed towards Shark Clown, jumped into the air, and thrust out his right leg. Shark Clown managed to regain her vision, but not in time to see Kazuya's kick strike her in the chest, sending her flying out the second-floor window. Shark Clown rolled on the ground outside for a couple of seconds before managing to get back on her feet. Kazuya jumped out after her, intent on finishing this fight. Vitimir and the rest of the Potion Coven witches rushed to the window as they saw Kazuya flip through the air and land in front of Shark Clown.

"Here I go!" Kazuya thrusted his right arm up, while thrusting his left arm down, both at a right angle, before bringing his arms in front of his chest in an "X" formation.

"Henshin!"

From that formation, Kazuya folded out his right arm, while keeping his left tucked under his right elbow. Kazuya dragged his arm from the left to the right as he brought his hands together and slowly extended them forward. A silver belt appeared around his waist, with two devices on the sides of his hips that had five different colored stripes on them. Kazuya made a turning motion with those same hands once his arms were fully extended, and in so doing, the Driver responded. Two panels slid to the sides and revealed a spiral turbine. The turbine spun rapidly and generated power and light, wrapping itself around Kazuya and obscuring his form for a moment before revealing his new form. The suit was colored black, with silver boots, and silver gloves that had tassels at the end. The sides of the legs and arms was a silver band that ran the length of the arms and legs. Upon his chest was a silver chest plate, and around his neck was a crimson scarf. Kazuya's helmet was also silver in color, with a few sharp black lines around the eyes, two red, compound eyes, two antennae, and a hornet shaped mouth plate. This was Kamen Rider Super-1.

The rider jumped through the air as he landed on a nearby rooftop. Everyone was shocked at what they saw.

"Kamen Rider Super-1!" the rider announced. He then flipped into the air to engage the enemy.

"Oh you have got to be kidding me! Since when are there four?! This is getting less funny by the second! GET HIM!" Shark Clown yelled as more balloons dropped down and burst to reveal Hooded Followers.

The Hooded Followers surrounded Super-1, but the martial artist Rider wasn't about to be outdone by the same sorry minions as before, especially not while transformed. One of the Followers attacked with a chop, but Super-1 easily blocked it with his right hand. However, another of the Followers attacked with a roundhouse kick to try and catch him off guard, a mistake that they should've learned not to make by now. Super-1 pushed off the Follower he blocked, ducking under the one throwing the kick, but as he did, Super-1 swept that Follower's leg, easily toppling him to the ground. The Legendary Rider quickly got back to his feet before coming down with a punch into the gut of that Follower he just knocked down. Not forgetting the first one, Super-1 cocked back that same fist and punched the other Follower, throwing a few feet into the distance. Another was about to attack, a swift side kick to the chest sent him barreling into his comrades.

Super-1 charged in and roundhouse kicked another of the Followers. Two of them tried to attack him from behind, but Super-1 threw two backhand fists to their guts, sending skidding backwards in pain as they doubled over. A fourth Follower threw a kick, but Super-1sidestepped the kick and used his backheel to trip that same Follower, making him hit the ground back first. And one unlucky Hooded Follower got tossed like a ragdoll straight towards the building he just jumped out of. The Hooded Follower crashed into the side of the window, causing Vitimir and the other witches to wince from the impact.

Suddenly, Super-1 was surrounded by six more Hooded Followers, but he was prepared. After performing a circular motion with his hands, Super-1 cried out, "Change! Electric Hands!" In a flash, his gloves change to a blue color. On his gloves were energy meters, with gold accents reaching his fingertips that resembled lightning bolts.

"Electric Beam!" he yelled as he raised his right hand in the air and electricity rained down, sending the Hooded Followers falling to the ground shaking.

"Well, that was 'shocking'! Get it?"

"Do you find delight in your own warriors getting hurt?" Super-1 asked.

"Only when they're as incompetent as this. But I guess that's to be expected, given you're a Kamen Rider and all. Still…" Shark Clown's gums and teeth protruded, showing off her disturbing smile. "If I manage to kill you, I'll be praised by the Great One!"

Super-1 ran for Shark Clown, but the Kaijin raised both her arms and launched them. The extending arms coiled in the air like snakes as they approached Super-1, but the Legendary Rider managed to weave between them, and just as he was about to punch Shark Clown in the face, the Kaijin's legs launched her into the air. Super-1 stumbled as he got his balance back, but when he turned around, he saw that the monster's legs had turned into springs that launched her into the air. The springs recoiled and returned to normal legs as her arms retracted back to their normal length. While in the air, Shark Clown tossed more of the cherry bombs at him, but Super-1 fired his Electric Beam again, blasting the bombs in midair as they exploded. Super-1 fired another Electric Beam, figuring that Shark Clown had no way to dodge while stuck in the air. However, the moment the beam hit her, she exploded like a pinata.

"You've got to be kidding me…"

"What? It's funny." Super-1 turned to his head to look over his right shoulder, and that's when he saw the gruesome smile of Shark Clown. "Boo!"

Super-1 twisted around with his left arm to throw an elbow strike, but once again, the spring legs of Shark Clown managed to get her out of harm's way at the last second. Shark Clown launched her arms again, but this time she managed to grab ahold of Super-1's shoulders. Once in hand, Shark Clown reeled him in like a fish on a hook, but before he got too close, she landed on the ground and swung her arms down, sending him crashing into the ground with a powerful, thudding, "BOOM!" Vitimir and the witches were worried when they saw the impact, they knew from reports and some who were eyewitnesses to Witch and Heka's fights that Kamen Riders were tough, but even they had to admit that blow must've hurt on some level. A thick dust cloud was kicked up, making it hard for even the Kaijin to see her opponent, but she was fairly confident that she ended his life.

"Heh, compared to those two brats, he's nothing special," Shark Clown mocked.

Super-1's eyes glowed in the dust cloud as he made another circular motion with his hands and cried out, "Change! Thermal Hands!" His gloves changed to green. On his gloves were silver gadgets with the one on his right hand having red accents and the ones on his left hand having blue accents.

Super-1 dashed out of the dust cloud, blasting it away from his burst of speed. Shark Clown was about to jump to avoid him, but Super-1 was not about to let her get away again. "Freezing Gas!" he yelled as he thrust his left hand out and shot out a cryogenic spray. The icy blast swiftly reached Shark Clown before she could jump away. Ice formed over her legs, arms, and other parts of her body, locking her in place as the ice grew around her body and on the ground. The monster tried to move, but it was impossible. The cryogenic properties of the gas managed to slow down her molecules to the point that not even her powers were working right.

"W-W-What! W-W-What i-i-is thi-i-i-is?! D-D-D-Damn y-y-you…t-t-this i-i-is c-c-cheating!" she muttered as she was frozen like a statue.

"Now!" Super-1 yelled as he jumped into the air, did some hand signs and thrusted his right foot. "Whirlwind Super Kick!"

When the kick landed, sparks shot out between Shark Clown and Super-1's foot. The ice shattered around Shark Clown as she flew backwards and tumbled down to the ground. The creepy Kaijin managed to get back up and yell, "Glory to the Shocker Coven!" Shark Clown fell down, face first, and exploded in a blaze of fiery destruction.

Super-1 watched as the smoke cleared then looked back up at the window where Vitimir and the rest of the Potion Coven witches were still watching.
