After Yuriko explained to Saya why she and Souichiro had suddenly decided to get closer to Jack and treated him more like their own child than her, she felt terrible. She was aware of the life that Jack's aunt, Jill Valentine, lead.

But when Yuriko had told her that Jill had been thought to be dead, when she was actually under some type of mind control for a few years by a creep with sunglasses, the thought alone scared her. Terrified her even.

After Yuriko's explanation, Saya immediately rushed off to find Jack. She checked his room first, but when she found he wasn't there, she searched in every area of the mansion before finally finding him in the dining area with Alice, Rei and Miss Shizuka.

Walking up slowly to them with trembling lips and a look of sadness, Jack notices her walking towards them.

"Saya? What's wrong?" He asks her as she walked up to him and stops. She fidgets around for a moment before speaking. "Um... Jack, can we... can we talk for a minute? Just the two of us?" She asks him.

Nodding his head, Jack gets up and walks with Saya out of the dining room to talk with her as Alice looks over at Miss Shizuka. "Shizuka-san, is Oniichan or Saya-chan in trouble?" The pink haired little girl asks her.

Miss Shizuka just smiles and shakes her head. "No, Alice-chan. They're both fine. I think they're just working things out. Don't worry." She says to her, making Alice nod her head before looking at the door where Jack and Saya had left then continued to eat her lunch.

Moments later, when she was sure they were alone in the room they had walked in, Saya turns around to face Jack with tears welling up in her eyes. Jack, who had become even more worried, slowly walked up to her and placed his hands on her shoulders.

"Talk to me, Saya. Is everything-Oof!" He began to say, but stopped when Saya suddenly hugged him tightly and began to quietly cry into his chest. Jack said and did nothing but returned his own hug while gently rubbing her back.

"Shh, it's ok, Saya. It's ok." He whispers reassuringly while she continued to cry against his chest. Saya does nothing for a few minutes but hug Jack tightly and crying into his chest while he remains silent and holds her.

After a while, Saya pulls away from the hug and wipes her tears before looking up at Jack. "Jack, how... no... why do you not hate me? I mean... I've been horrible to you. You have every justifiable right to hate me. So, why don't you?" She asks him, confused as to why he doesn't hate her, or why he's not going off on her about how she's been acting the past few years.

Jack just shakes his head and smiles. "Because if I had been in your position, I probably would've acted the same way if my mom gave someone else more attention over her own child. Any son or daughter would have acted they way you did. It's just... when I would try reaching out to you and make amends-" He began to explain but was cut off by Saya.

"I would just be a bitch and run off."

"I wasn't going to put it that way, but yes. You did. But I didn't hate you for it. You were hurting and I wanted to show you that just because I had your parents attention, I never stopped caring about you, Saya. You're my friend and like my little sister. You're family and I love you." He says to her with a smile.

Blushing, Saya gently pushes Jack away in a fluster. "Don't-Don't just say things like that, Jack! I'm a Takagi! And a Takagi is not supposed to-!" She began to say before Jack pulls her back into a hug and kisses her forehead, making her blush even more to the point she turns bright red.

Pulling away, Jack looks at her and chuckles when he sees her current state. "Are you calm now?" He asks her. She says nothing and just nods her head as her blush fades away. Jack chuckles again and hugs her before wrapping an arm around her shoulders. "Good. Now, what do you say we head to the dining hall and get you a bite to eat?" He asks while she, again, says nothing and just nods her head.

Jack continues to chuckle as he leads her back to the dining hall while Yuriko, who had heard the whole conversation, stood near a doorway and smiles at the scene she had witnessed before walking away to find her husband.

2 days later...

Things between Jack and Saya began to get better after their conversation and began to make amends. However, even after all that time out amongst the undead, people at the mansion still treated them like children instead of adults that had to fight tooth and nail to get as far as they did.

Takashi, Hirano and Saya took some offense to that fact. Although they understood why the adults were trying to keep them safe and relaxed, they didn't want to just sit around while everyone else did the heavy lifting. They've rested enough, they've relaxed enough. Now they want to do what they can to help others around them and not just sit around doing nothing.

Jack, however, while getting his strength back, was still on the mend. Even after just a few days of resting and only doing small specific exercises and activities to get his strength and movement back, he was still very sore.

He could only assume that after having the disgusting zombie virus in his bloodstream for a few days it would take more than just a couple of days for him to get back into shape. While he was being as patient as possible about the whole situation, it still frustrated him that he could only go for so long before his muscles felt like he had been working the whole day without rest.

Lying down on his bed in his room while listening to the radio on his nightstand, Jack could only wonder what Jill, Chris, Claire and everyone else were doing right now while he and his friends were stuck in Hell.

Then he wondered something that had just popped in his head. "Wait a minute. Now that I'm thinking about them, why haven't Jill and the others tried to contact me? Or at least tried to find out if I'm alright?" He asked himself as he shot up from his bed, only to wince in pain from sudden movement.

"Ah, damn!" He mumbles in frustration. He then looks up when he hears the door opening to reveal Saeko and Saya.

"Babe? You ok?" Saeko asks him with concern as Saya peeks over her shoulder.

Jack nods. "Yeah. Yeah. I just... shot up from my bed a little too quick. Now my muscles are screaming at me." He answers in a joking manner as he smiles and chuckles.

Saeko shakes her head with a smile before walking over to him and sits down beside him. "Aw, poor baby." She teases with a smirk before kissing his cheek softly, making him laugh.

"Yeah, yeah. Laugh it up. At least you are able to still walk around without feeling like you had walked or ran a marathon." He said jokingly, which made her and Saya smile at his humor.

Saeko soon lost her smile before she began to gently rub Jacks back. "Jack, baby, I know it's frustrating. And I know that you don't want to sit around doing nothing, but you and your body had went through a very traumatic experience. You just need to keep resting, doing your exercises and you'll be back to your old self in no time. Just don't push yourself too hard." She explains to him softly as he just sighs.

"Yeah... I know. It's just..." He began before trailing off.

"Just what?" Saeko asks.

"It's just... the dead. They're out there right now and they're not going to just wait for me to heal up so I can fight them again. They're going to keep coming after everyone regardless if they're on the mend or not. They wait for no one. Not even me. Plus the fact that my mom is still out there somewhere. And I don't even know if she's still alive at this point." He explains his reasoning, making the purple haired beauty nod in understanding.

"Jack? I know, baby, believe me. But this is your mom we're talking about. As long as she's still breathing, she'll do whatever it takes to come back to you and all of us. And just remember, we're all safe in here. The dead are not getting to us anytime soon. Not while I'm around. And certainly not while Vincent is around. He'll take them all out before they even try to get past the mansions perimeters." She tells him with a laugh, which makes him and Saya laugh too.

"Yeah. The guy is a little overpowered, isn't he?" He asks jokingly as they all laugh.

After a few minutes of laughing then calming down, Jack looks at both girls with a questioning look. "Alright, all joking aside. Is there a reason why you two decided to come in here, besides check on me?" He asks them.

Both girls look at each other then back at Jack before nodding as Saya answers.

"Yeah, Jack. We all need to have a group meeting. We need to decide what all we're going to do. There are still more survivors out in the city that may need help. And we need to find out what caused all this." She explains as Jack just listened before nodding his head.

"Alright. Then go grab the others and bring them here. It's time for a team meeting." He simply says.

Outside the Takagi Mansion gates...

It had begun to rain as the guards at the gate were patrolling along the perimeter and keeping an eye out for any strangers or walking corpses that may come up on the gate, until one of them spotted movement some distance away in the pouring rain.

Raising his rifle to look through the scope, he tries to determine whether it was one of the undead or someone that was still alive.

Noticing that the figure was covered in blood that was being washed away, but didn't show signs of it acting like a zombie, the guard called out to them.

"You out there! Halt! I have a rifle on you!" The guard shouts, making the figure stop in their tracks as multiple other guards had arrived to see who was coming near the gate.

"Who are you? State your business! Speak quickly or we'll open fire!" The guard continued as the figure raised their hands in the air.

"Don't fire! I'm not one of them!" The figure shouts to the guards, making them relax, but only slightly as they still had their weapons trained on the figure.

"Identity yourself!" Another guard commanded at the figure, but they didn't have to wait for long.

"My name is Leon S. Kennedy! I'm here to search for any survivors! I'm also here to look for Jack Valentine!" Leon identifies himself while he slowly walks forward towards the gate. The guards lower their rifles but quickly raise them back up and point at a new figure behind Leon.

"Hold!" They shout, making Leon stop again with a confused look on his face before noticing that the guards weren't pointing their rifles at him.

"Identity yourself and state your business!" One of the guards shouts again at the new unknown figure. Leon turns his head slowly to see who is standing behind him only for his eyes to widen when he sees who it is.

With the new figures hands raised, they answered. "Hold your fire, boys. My name is Ada Wong. I'm an ally. I am also here looking for survivors. I also have business with Vincent Thorne. Please allow us to enter." Ada answers the guards then looks at Leon to give him a sly smile and a wink.

Moments later, inside the mansion perimeter...

Leon and Ada are cautiously escorted into the perimeter of the mansion grounds and into the courtyard. Standing in front of the fountain, one of the guards signals Leon and Ada to stop where they are.

"Wait here." He says to them, then walks over to one of the other guards and whispers in their ear.

The guard nods their head as the other guard walks into the mansion, presumably, to find the Lord and Lady of the house. Mister and Misses Takagi.

Leon and Ada don't wait for very long as they see 4 figures walking inside of the mansion hall leading outside. Before long, the figures reveal themselves.

Souichiro and Yuriko Takagi, as well as Jack Valentine and Vincent Thorne.

Upon seeing Leon and Ada, Jack tries to burst into a sprint to run up to them, but before he could do so, Souichiro quickly holds his hand up to stop him.

Not wanting to disobey or disrespect a man he greatly holds in high regard, Jack doesn't complain or argue. He just stands by as Yuriko stands by his side.

Ada discreetly glances at Vincent, who winks at her, before turning her gaze back to the patriarch of the Takagi family.

Souichiro walks up to both of them and examines them with a stoic and calculating stare. Shifting back and forth between both newcomers, his eyes finally land back on Leon. "Who are you? Why have you come here?" He asks them threateningly.

Leon and Ada, undeterred from the mans cold expression, holds their ground until Leon answers.

"Leon S. Kennedy. I can't speak for Miss Wong here, but I was sent here by the U.S. government to search for any survivors and to find the cause of this outbreak." He answers honestly as Souichiro narrows his eyes with uncertainty.

He then shifts his eyes over to Ada and points at her. "And you?"

She smiles. "I'm here to search for survivors as well. I also have something for my partner that we need to look in to." She answers. Souichiro, still untrusting, keeps his eyes narrowed. "And who is your partner?" He asks her.

She points behind him at Vincent. "He's standing right there."

Souichiro snaps his head in Vincent's direction with a stern look telling him to confirm her statement. Vincent said nothing but nodded his head before Souichiro turned back towards his two new guests.

"Well then, I guess you both have a lot to talk about then Miss Wong. As for you, Leon-san, there's someone here you might already know." He says them both as Jack walks up beside Souichiro, making Leon and Ada see him finally.

Leon's eyes widened. "Jack!" He shouts before embracing Jack in a hug. Jack hugs back and looks to Ada, who just smiles at him before nodding.

She then walks over to Vincent with a look of professionalism. "Hello, Vincent. I'm glad to see you're still alive and kicking." She says to him with a smirk. Vincent just chuckles with a smile. "Still doubt me, Wong?" He asks.

Ada chuckles. "Of course not. Knowing you for as long as I have and seeing the things you can do, I'd never bet against you." She says to him with a tap to his shoulder causing Vincent to laugh.

Jack smiles at their exchange before looking back at Leon, who had a slight look of jealousy on his face, which only caused Jack to chuckle. Leon, hearing him, looks over at him sternly. "What are you laughing about?" He asks, but Jack just shrugged and didn't answer.

He looks over at Souichiro. "Souichiro-san, do you think we can all head inside now? I'm sure everyone has a lot to talk about." He says to the man, who nods and tells the guards to resume their patrols before walking inside with the others.

Moments later...

Ada and Vincent split off from the group and headed towards his room to talk. Once inside, and with the door closed, Ada suddenly embraces Vincent in a hug. Vincent says nothing and just smiles before hugging her back.

"You alright?" He asks her. She just nods before pulling away from the hug. "Yeah, I was just worried about you, Vincent. Everyone at Athena lost contact with you and we got worried." She informs him as he just smiles.

"And because you were the closest agent nearby, they contacted you and sent you to find me." He stated as she nodded, making him chuckle. "Well, you can stop worrying. I'm fine. I've gotten into a few scrapes with some ugly B.O.W.'s, but I'm fine. It sucks that my vacation was abruptly canceled due to the outbreak, but I've managed." He tells her with a smile as she just nods.

Vincent then loses his smile and places his hands on her shoulders to make her look at him. "I know that being professional is the last thing you want to do right now, Ada, but while we're both here, we need to do everything we can to help these people. Did you find anything while you were out in the city?" He asks her.

She nods and pulls out a large vial containing a bright orange colored liquid inside it. Vincent looks up at Ada with a confused expression. Knowing what he was about to ask, she answers. "It's not the T or the G virus. It's an entirely new strain. One that is not on record. I sent it to our scientists at Athena for analysis, and they told me that this is brand new. Recently new. It has traces of the T and G strains inside it, but whoever combined them into this new strain knew exactly what they wanted it to do. And now it's wreaking havoc in Japan." She informs him as he examines the vial containing the new dangerous virus.

After a moment, Vincent blinks and lowers the vial to his side as he just remembered something that had happened while he and Jack were at the JPD before it burned down.

He looks at Ada with a look that she, for a moment, didn't like. He looked at her with an accusing, but an also confused, look.

"What?" She asks.

Taking a deep breath, he answers. "Ada, I need you to think about this carefully." He began as she listened closely. "Do you happen to have a twin sister that you haven't told us about?" He asks her seriously.

She just blinks before gaining a confused expression. "Wait, what?"

With Jack and Leon...

"Jack, you have no idea how relieved I am to see that you're still alive." Leon says to Jack as they both walk into the study hall.

Jack just chuckles and shakes his head before leaning against the wall across from Leon in the room. "Believe me, Leon, I'm glad to still be alive, but I almost didn't make it a while back." He says to him as Leon looks at him in shock.

"Wait, what? What do you-?"

BeepBeepBeepBeep!

Leon stopped from asking his question when his communication device went off, interrupting him. He pulls it out to answer as Ingrid Hunnigan popped up on the miniature screen.

"Leon, what's your status? Do you have an update?" She asks as Leon nods with a smile. "Yeah. I'm here with Jack. He's still alive. We're at the Takagi mansion." He informs her.

Hunnigan sighs with relief. "Thank god. Jill and Chris will be relieved to hear that. What about Natalie?" She asks Leon next, causing Leon to look up at Jack.

Jack, lowering his head, says nothing with his eyes closed.

"Is she?" Leon pauses his question, not wanting to finish it. Jack shakes his head. "I don't know. I found a recording of her at the JPD during the first hours of the outbreak before it burned down. But that was days ago. She could be anywhere by now, but I don't know if she's still alive at thus point." He answers as Leon looks back down at Hunnigan.

"I heard him, Leon. That's... disheartening, but... I know you guys will hold on to as much hope as you can." She says to him as he nods.

"Have you found any survivors in the city?" She continued her questioning as Leon began to pace back and forth while thinking about all the people he managed to help.

"I did, but there weren't many. I sent them to the nearest evacuation checkpoint, but I can only hope that they made it there ok. Japan is swarming with zombies, Hunnigan. When is the U.S. government or the BSAA going to get here?" He says to her with a question, but he already knew the answer by the look on her face. "Hunnigan?"

"Leon, I'm sorry, I really am. I pleaded your case to government officials, but they've decided that Tokyo, Japan is now a red zone. And until this outbreak has been contained by its own forces..." She answers him before trailing off.

"What, Hunnigan?" Leon pushed. She sighs.

"Until Japan manages to contain the outbreak with its own forces... the U.S. government will do nothing to help." She answers with a disheartened sigh.

Leon shakes his head in frustration and sighs deeply as Jack just listened with clenched fists. "What about the BSAA? Chris and Jill? Have they been informed?" He asks her, but she takes her time to answer. This caused Leon to get more frustrated.

"Hunnigan."

Pausing a moment longer, Hunnigan finally answers. "No, Leon. The BSAA isn't coming and they haven't been informed. Chris and Jill still have no idea what's going on there."

"Are you fucking kidding me?!" Jack shouts, shocking both Leon and Hunnigan.

Jack storms up to Leon and snatches the communication device out of his hand and holds it up to his face to look at Hunnigan. "9 days, Hunnigan! 9 days since the start of the outbreak and the U.S. government STILL doesn't want to lend a hand to the people of Japan?! What the fuck are they doing over there besides pushing pencils and ass kissing celebrities?! Is that how America treats its friends from overseas?! Huh?!" He shouts at her, shocking her and Leon.

Hunnigan, seeing Jack on the verge of tears through his angry expression, sighed calmly before answering. "Believe me, Jack, I don't like it any more than you do. But... there's honestly nothing I can do to change their minds to send reinforcements. Their minds are made up and the BSAA is under the jurisdiction of the U.S.. If they deem that this viral outbreak isn't their concern then... then there won't be any help coming and they've already made up their minds. I'm sorry." She says to him with a mournful look.

"What if Japan can't contain the outbreak?! If it gets airborne and spreads across the world it'll be there problem then! And by then, it will be their fault because they refused to help!" Jack continues to vent his frustration as Leon just stood silently and listened.

"If it ever comes to that, Jack, then the U.S. will handle it. They've been prepared for something like that since after Raccoon City. I promise you, it will be taken care of." She answers as Leon looks away with a shake of his head before putting his hands on his hips.

"By then everyone here will be dead and you'll lose your best chances to stop it!" Jack shouts again before sighing deeply as he clutched the device tightly in his hand. "I'm sorry, Hunnigan. I know you're only doing your job, but I can't trust you or the U.S. government." He tells her, shocking both her and Leon, who turns around with shock.

"What do you mean by that, Jack?" Hunnigan asks him.

"You know exactly what I mean, Hunnigan. I can't rely on you to help me or my friends here and I sure as hell can't trust the U.S. government. Those pencil pushers can sit at their desks while the rest of us handles this. There's only a handful of people here that I trust and you're not one of them, Hunnigan. I'm sorry."

"Jack! Don't-!" She began, but Jack shut off the device before tossing it to Leon, who caught it.

"Jack? What do you think you're doing? Hunnigan is one of the best people I know. You can trust her." He says to him as Jack storms out of the room and towards the stairs in the main hall.

"Not right now I can't, Leon. She answers to the U.S. government and the president directly, and they won't do a fucking thing to help. But there's one person here I know that has the necessary resources to help Japan once this outbreak's been stopped and contained." He says to him as he storms up the stairs and towards a room with purpose.

"And who would that be?" Leon asks as he and Jack stop at the bedroom door. Jack turns and faces Leon.

"The person who saved me." He says simply before opening the door.

Standing inside were Vincent and Ada, who were looking at them both with confusion.

"Vincent, I have no right to ask you this, but I have a huge favor to ask. Will you help me?" He asks him.

Vincent looks at him with curiosity.

Meanwhile, in the city with Natalie...

Natalie ran through the streets of Tokyo, Japan out in the rain out of breath, exhausted and covered in blood from the undead.

She stops near a corner of an alleyway to catch her breath as she looks up at the Takagi mansion that was off in the distance.

"I've got to get to the Takagi's. I've got to get there and look for Jack. I have to get back to him." She whispers quietly while looking down at herself. "Ugh. And get a damn shower. I'm filthy." She says with disgust before examining her pistol.

She cocks it back and removes the bullet from the chamber before removing the magazine. To her shock and sorrow there was nothing left in the mag. Just the one round that she's currently holding in her hand.

"Just one? Come on. I swear I had at least 5 rounds left." She whispers with a shaky tone.

Letting out a frustrated sigh, Natalie loads the round back into the chamber and holds her pistol ready. "Well, I guess I'll have to make due with what I've got left. I just hope I don't pass out on my way there." She whispers as she starts walking forward towards the direction of the Takagi's.

After walking a few feet, she hears footsteps a few meters to her left. She snaps in that direction and holds her pistol at a dark silhouette that was walking towards her.

Shaking her head to get rid of the drowsiness, she blinks her eyes rapidly to try and make out what the figure looks like, but she was too tired and exhausted.

"Greetings. I remember you. You're Natalie Valentine, Jill Valentines sister." The figure calls out to her.

Natalie tilts her head with confusion on her face. "You know me and Jill? Who are you?" She asks the figure as it walks closer, but she still couldn't make out their physical appearance.

The figure chuckles darkly. "Oh, Natalie, let's just say that I'm a ghost. A ghost coming back to haunt your dear family." The figure says as they were close enough to Natalie for her to make out who the mysterious figure is.

Her eyes widens in shock. "No... No way... You're supposed to be dead." She whispers in fear.

The figure leans close to her face with a smirk as glowing red eyes look at her through black sunglasses.

"Dear, Natalie. You should know that you can't keep a good S.T.A.R.S member down for long." The figure says before uppercutting Natalie into the air before she crashed down hard against the road with a loud sickening thud.

Natalie, already exhausted and unable to fight back, leans her head up to watch defenseless as the figure walks towards her with a toothy smirk.

"Wesker..." She whispers before falling unconscious.
