The Intruder
Dee (still tiny) was watching gleefully as King was trying to claw a sock off his snout as Anne (still tiny) was reading a good witch azura book
King: [Grunting, tears the sock into pieces, then punches the remnants.] Where are you now, ducky sock?
Dee (chibi): Awww
Anne puts down her book.
Anne (chibi): Why did you call us hear again.
King: Oh, yeah. [Grunting, climbs up a table.] hell demon Dee, angel Anne you've been so obsessed with witchcraft that you haven't learned anything about my kind. Prepare yourself for... [Rips off a curtain to reveal a corkboard of photos of various boiling aisle demons; puts on a hat and spins the cord on top of it.] Boiling Aisle Demons 101. Demons like me are grim tricksters of the twilight, creatures of sulfur and bone.
Dee (chibi): Same here.
King: We live only to create chaos and misery. Our only weaknesses are purified water and passive-aggressive comments. Sometimes.
Anne (chibi): Just like you sis. Ouch!
Dee retracts her tail from Anne's leg Anne looks at her sister scoldingly with her sister looking back with the same look.
Dee (chibi): Next time you say something about us demons I will sting your butt.
King: Ahem any way even demons have inner demons. [Tears off one of the pictures to reveal a snarling demon.] The most powerful demon of all is the Snaggleback. He's a—
Dee (chibi): How cute they look just like a monkey demon wearing a little shell I must have one for my herd.
King: Guys, pay attention. This information could save your life someday.
Anne (chibi): Don't worry were paying attention right sis.
Dee (chibi): Of course, from the greatest beast to the weakest creatures they shall become the most fearsome creatures with my blood.
They then hear thunder and flashes of lightning light up the windows.
King: Uh-oh. Looks like it's gonna rain.
Dee (chibi): Oh, I love the feeling of rain on my wings.
She flies out the door her sister quickly gets up and flies after her.
Anne (chibi): Hey wait up.
King: Wait!
The door swings open and Dee followed by Anne come out.
Anne (chibi): Ah rain feels so good in my feathers.
Dee (chibi): Let the rain sink into my flesh.
A water drop drops down to the flower, making it wither and die immediately.
Anne (chibi): Huh, boiling rain.
Dee (chibi): Neat.
They then hear Eda run running and turn their heads to see just that.
Eda: Boiling rain! Everybody inside now!
She grabs their arms and throws them into the house.
Eda: Phew! That was close. But the important thing is you didn't get hurt.
The two get up.
Anne (chibi): Yeah, were fine.
Dee (chibi): I'm going back outside.
Cut to a little bit later Dee and Anne are playing in the rain King watches from inside while Eda crafts a shield spell.
Dee (chibi): I haven't seen weather like this since that hell storm mom took us to.
Anne (chibi): And far less demonic energy.
Eda: Yeah, we don't have weather. We have plagues, gorenados, shale hail, painbows.
King: It's like a rainbow but looking at it turns you inside out.
Dee (chibi): Sounds lovely.
Adam crawls out the door and lays himself on the grass next to his master.
Eda: So anyway, despite you two being boil proof you should head inside.
King: Yeah, because even if the rain doesn't get you, the Snaggleback will. [Opens a book, showing Snaggleback images.] They wander the rain, feeding on boiled tourists.
Eda: Well, whatever the case, this force field spell should protect the house from boiling rains and made-up demons.
Hooty: Hoot! Well, hurry it up with that force field. That rain is getting closer to my precious stucco.
Eda: Yeah, yeah. I got it.
She then uses her staff to cast a force field spell on the house.
Anne (chibi): Impressive reminds me of father's work.
Dee (chibi): You know I was wondering why do they call you the owl lady?
Eda: Cause I'm so wise.
Hooty: Because she coughs up rat bones.
King: I think it's cause she gets distracted by shiny objects.
Eda: No, I don't.
King takes out a pen. He clicks it, and the diamond on top of it glows.
Eda: [Delightedly.] It sparkles and shimmers. It shines and delights. I must have it for my nest...
She lunges for the pen, but King puts it behind his back and she crashes on the ground. Eda groans. Adam snatches the pen from king and brings it to Dee.
Dee (chibi): Good boy
Anne (chibi): You okay
Eda: [Tiredly.] Ugh. That force field really took it out of me.
King: Uh-oh. Moving a little slow. Age finally catching up to ya? [Screams as Eda hoods his head with the hat.] Darkness!
Eda then proceeds to walk to her room.
Eda: I'm going to sleep in my nest if you need me.
Dee lands in front of her.
Eda: what is it.
Dee (chibi): Oh, I was just thinking that you could teach us about magic and witches and in return I give you this.
She holds up the pen.
Eda: Shiny.
Dee (chibi): We have a deal.
Eda: Deal.
Cut to the living room.
Eda: Now, humans think magic is made out of thin air, but that's stupid. Everything comes from something. Let me ask you, kids. Where do you think magic comes from for witches?
Anne (chibi): The heart
Dee (chibi): A bile sac.
Eda: Actually, you're both right.
Twins (chibi): really
Eda: No, really. [Pulls out a diagram of viscera from her hair and shows it to them.] It comes from a sac of magic bile attached to a witch's heart.
Anne (chibi): Okay
Dee (chibi): Can I keep that?
Eda: No, now how do angels and demons use magic.
Anne (chibi): We angels create holy energy within our cells demons do the same thing but with demonic energy.
Eda: We witches create spell circles to cast spells how do you guys do it?
Dee (chibi): We just channel energy and release sometimes we use objects but were pretty drained until we restore ourselves.
Eda: Well now I'm going to show you an example of a spell.
She creates a light spell but then collapse after finishing it the large orb of light vanishes.
Anne (chibi): We should take her to her nest right.
Dee (chibi): Yep.
The scene changes to Dee and Anne trying to carry her to her nest Anne holding her arms while Dee holding her legs.
Dee (chibi): How is she so heavy.
They drop her into the nest
Anne (chibi): You think she's going to be okay.
Dee (chibi): I saw her rip off her head for fun she's okay.
They both fly back down stairs and into the kitchen Anne decides to play with her lyre will Dee listens to King Adam happily coiling around her, they eventually fell asleep they were asleep for a long time only to wake up when they hear a shrill scream.
Hooty: Hoooot!
Anne springs up in shock followed by Dee holding Adam and King
Dee (chibi): Where are the lights?
King: Hooty controls them.
Anne (chibi): Well, let's check on him.
They rush towards the front door only to see it and Hooty laying on the ground clawed and covered in feathers Dee walks up and inspects him.
Dee (chibi): (sighs in relief) he's still alive (picks up some feathers) King you're a native to the boiling isles recognize these feathers.
King: Nope I don't remember seeing this in any of my old books.
Anne (chibi): Guys we left Eda alone!
Looks of horror dawn their faces as they franticly run and fly up the stairs slamming the door open.
Twins (chibi): No…
They look in horror at the seen of a open window with a trail of feathers leading from the window to Eda's nest, King franticly runs towards the nest knocking over a table knocking a bottle of glowing liquid that shatters and spills out searching franticly only to crawl out slowly eyes filled with tears, Dee flies over to him she wraps her arms around him while Adam wraps around his neck. Both crying together Anne slowly walks to them only to notice a blue liquid pouring from his foot.
Anne (chibi): King your bleeding (she lifts Kings foot and inspects it) the cut isn't too bad and none of that glass is stuck in it looks clean I'll get you a band aid.
She flies to the bathroom and grabs the band aids from the medicine cabinet they were next to some glowing bottles, as she starts to leave, she sees a large beast four limbs carry its body as two wings sits on top its body covered in grey feathers they saw before as it turns it head, she hides away only to take a peek, and then she saw it. At first, she saw a pair of black orbs but no what truly gabbed her attention was the face the others needed to know as soon as the way was clear she flew with all the strength she could as soon as she was in the room, she tries to land only fall on her face Dee and King go over to her she gets up quickly.
Anne (chibi): Eda's alive.
King: What?
Dee (chibi): Where is she?
Anne grabs both their shoulders Adam slinks back around his master's neck.
Anne (chibi): She's the demon.
Dee (chibi): WHAT!
King: Wait a minute.
He walks back towards the broken bottle and looks at the bottle.
King: Oh no.
Anne (chibi): What is it?
King: Eda drinks one of these every day I never asked about it but according to this label it's suppose to stop her curse.
Dee (chibi): We need to shove that stuff into her mouth Anne, you saw her what did she look like?
Anne (chibi): Four legs, Wings, Black eyes.
King: Did you say black eyes.
Anne (chibi): Yeah, nothing but black orbs.
King: Black eye demons are weak to light it can even knock them out.
Anne (chibi): Okay I have a plan, Dee you distract her and lead her to me I will use my powers to create a blinding light King put on this band aid your foot and go to the bathroom I saw some more potions in the medicine cabinet you go get them after I knocked Eda out you bring them.
King: on it.
King scurries off to the bathroom, Dee looks at her sister.
Dee (Chibi): Are you sure you can do it if you push you could either speed up your regeneration or end up wrecking your body beyond repair.
Anne (chibi): I'm an angel I'm supposed to protect.
Dee (chibi): Okay.
Dee flies off as Anne starts to concentrate fingers interlocked energy pools out of her body into her palms, pain shot threw her body her wings twitch she was scarred but she continued, then she felt it her sister's presence coming quick then it happened. Dee burst into the room screaming followed by Eda Anne separates her hands releasing a blazing light Dee wraps her wings around her body as Adam slithers down her shirt.
Eda (owl beast): (skreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech!)
Eda wakes up straw in her mouth half her body still having traits of the owl beast.
Eda: Ahh! [Slurps and returns to normal.] W-What happened? Oh, I have the worst headache. And my mouth tastes like roadkill. [Gags, retches.]
She spits up a giant owl pellet.
Eda: wait a minute King, Dee, Anne!
She rips open the pellet to see if they are inside, it only for king to speak up.
King: Were over hear.
She looks to see King and Dee siting on the other end of the room.
Dee: Eda I'm so glad you're okay.
Eda: Yeah, I'm alright but where is your sister?
A giant hand comes in through the window grabbing Eda and pulling her away.
Eda: Ahhhhhh!
She then stops when she sees who the hand belonged to it was Anne the size of a house tears in her eyes, she brings her closer to her chest for a hug.
Anne: I thought we lost you or that you could have been stuck as that thing we were so worried.
Eda tries to awkwardly hug the giant girl but had difficulties due to her size.
Eda: So how did you become so big?
Anne: Oh, you know growth spurts and all that don't worry once I have enough power, I will be able to regain a more manageable form so don't worry too much about it.
she then places her back inside the house Eda was then able to see the changes made to her body her halo looked like it held gold fire in it a second pair of smaller wings under her first and a eye like design decorated the ends of all her feathers, her body seemed to have some enhancements her chest was fuller her original wings grew larger she looked like her limbs and body were slightly stretched. (if your wondering she will be the same sized as hunter in her human size)
Eda: Wow puberty hit you like a truck.
Anne blushes and wraps her wings around her eyes.
Dee: As much as I love making my sister squirm. What happened to you?
Eda: I haven't been completely honest with you guys. When I was younger, I was cursed. I don't know exactly how it happened, all I know is that if I don't take my elixir... Well, that's why people call me the Owl Lady. No one likes having a curse, but if you take the right steps, it's manageable.
Anne: Are you okay.
Eda: There's nothing for you to worry about. It's all under control, and as long as no one steals my elixir.
Hooty: Hey, hey! Is anyone there? Hello? Hoot? I'm on the floor. It's cold!
King: That voice. That horrific voice!
Dee: Me and king will take care of him you two rest.
They leave closing the door behind them.
Eda and Anne Fall asleep we then cut to the inside of Anne's mind Anne is standing on the ground wrapped in chains crying as her sister is dragged away but then she hears a voice not her own she looks to see a rip in dreams containing Eda screaming at some shadowed figure she felt the distress she summons her lyre and plays a soothing song it reached dream Eda's ears and her dream changed to one were she was sitting on a picnic blanket with another witch and by bringing calm to her dream Anne's dream changed to a happy little memory and she rests.
