CHAPTER 2

TURNING A PAGE

Usagi and even Mabel. Dipper can see both have that looks of someone engrossed in a gooey romance novel. Usagi sys, with glee, "Knowing Henry is Tuxedo Shadow and is Rei's boyfriend, it the best thing to happen, ever since I discover Marmou is Tuxedo Mask."

Ami says, "You mean we…. you know I'll just let you have this one."

Mabel says, "As an official cohead of the "Romance Story Underground" I am obligated to know how it all started with those two."

Dipper says, "I'm afraid it will have to wait, we need to refocus on the present."

"I know, I know it's just I still want to know."

Dipper looks at the cork board and, on the board, there is a news article with a photo of what is a spell book.

Dipper then points to the picture and then looks at Ami and says, "This was one of the recent spell books find in the location of where the ancient roman city "Viminacium" was, it has no name as there has been no title or author so just gave it one name the Roman Grimoire, I know not really inspired but easy to pronounce. This book use to be at the "Tokyo Metropolitan City Library" but was stolen one week ago, in the envelope you had the letter mentioned this book and there are photocopies of most of the pages."

Ami says, "You can say it was that one book that was just part of the first chapter in this ongoing story.

Flashback: Tokyo, Japan One week ago

The Crown Arcade as usual is just booming with excitement with people constantly sitting in front of cabinets and playing games till their hearts content. Henry is playing an arcade cabinet of "Combat Kings and Queens.

Henry is playing a character the looks like the Norse myth character Thor shooting lighting at a female character that looks like the Norse myth character Hel as one half of her is human and beautiful and another half is skeletal demon with horns. It shoots out a shadow at him and Henry blocks it and then Henry quickly moves the joystick and presses a series of buttons and then makes his Thor like character raise his hammer and lighting comes down and then he swings it, and it hits the ground. The lighting then travels on the ground and then hits the Hel character, and she goes flying and then crashes into one of the rocks breaking it.

Henry then does a silent little victory cheer for himself but then immediately stops playing when he feels someone is coming near him. It's a slightly skinny teen boy who is about medium height, short brown hair, and with glasses on.

The boy with the glasses asks, "Is the machine operational?"

Henry then looks and says, "Yeah, Umino its works like a charm."

"Good."

"By the way, there's an assignment I need your help with."

Umino know what he means by this and then gives a response.

"Come with me."

Henry then gets up from the cabinet and he sees a random boy and get him to play his place. After that both Henry and Umino they both go over to the management office and then as there their there is what looks like another of the arcade cabinets that are operational. Umino comes to it and without putting in a quarter he presses all the buttons in a sequential order and then suddenly there is a click and then Umino moves back along with Henry.

The arcade cabinet then moves to the right and underneath there is a set of stairs that lead down. Both descend slowly down and as they come down and out to what looks like a subway tunnel, Henry looks to his right and then presses a red button that has the arcade cabinet then go right back into place.

Also, he then presses a green button and there are a couple of spotlights and a series of lights that light the tunnel. On this tunnel there is a rail car that is stationed and both board the car and it then zips down the tunnel. After it's made it's journey it then stops and then both get out of the car and they walk and both go to double doors and open them and they're in a well-lit area which has computers and tables which are full of tools and all kinds of gadgets and even laptops and tablets, along with touch screen tables.

In one big area there is a cork board which has a news article pined on a new finding of a lost spell book the "Roman Grimoire" that is going to be on display at the museum section in Tokyo Metropolitan Library. There is a cork board which has a copy of a painting in color on what the books looks like even a sketch drawing.

He then comes to a table and sees Umino whom is one of the computers and says, "How is the shut down program coming?

Umino says, "It's good to go Henry, however I still recommend you move fast, their security program is powerful and will reboot and come back on in two or three minutes once the half hour mark is up."

Henry says, "Hopefully I'll find the right passage to give me the clues I need."

Umino says, "Which reminds me follow me."

Umino then shows a table and an assortment of items on a big white marble table, each of these items are the kind you can buy anywhere. From a bottle of dust remover, a Skateboard, and a Typewriter.

Henry looks at the items puzzled but mainly one item and says, "What's the typewriter for, you know those things are extinct."

Umino says, "Just something I'm tinkering with, anyway let's get down to business. Umino then escorts him to the far right of the table and then shows him the item of choice on a small red table carpet and it's a small spray canaster of Mace.

Henry says, "A mace bottle, my stepmom never lets me leave the house without one."

Umino says, "Not this one."

He then picks it up and says, "This canister has a bottom to unscrew."

Umino unscrews the bottom and when loosened enough he then pulls the bottom off and it's revealed to have a shinny rectangular device with a small lens."

Henry looks at it with amazement and says, "Looks almost like those skinny cameras from the 80's."

Umino says, "It somewhat is, this spy camera has a roll of microfilm that takes up to 300 photos."

"Is that possible."

"You know me and science Henry, anything is possible."

Umino continues, "This amount should be enough to cover the entire book."

"Unless there's extra chapters."

"This camera is made with the same engineering parts as any other camera."

Umino then points to a small knob on top and says, "This rotation dial adjusts the sight to zoom in or out, the picture quality for every photo you take will have the best resolution so you don't have to worry about errors in quality, it would pick up a UFO and people would start believing."

He then pushes the small skinny camera back into the canister and screws the bottom back on the canister and says, "This small steel drum to protect the camera is impenetrable about the same kind of armor for a panzer tank only miniaturized and skinner."

Henry continues to look with fascination and then Umino points out the top.

Umino says, 'This final feature is actually a smoke bomb; you can unscrew the top and once you do, you press the spray button, and the smoke bomb activates, the smoke is enough to cover a wide radius within any room and area."

Umino then screws the top back on. Henry, he takes the small canister and then he goes to the corkboard, takes a big yellow envelope, and then starts to take a lot of the info from the cork board off the board and puts it all in the envelope.

He then takes out a big journal book and then puts that right in with the other stuff. Henry then looks at Umino and says, "Remember to give this to Rei."

Umino says, "I remember the plan, deliver this envelop to one of the Senchi mainly Rei, after the gathering of data is complete you go off to Gravity Falls, Origon; I don't know about this."

Henry says, "I've got to go at this alone and fast, our enemies will probably come after this and steel its secrets."

"No, I shouldn't have to wait to give this to her, it should be you right now; and you should tell her more about yourself you know that."

Henry stops and then looks at Umino and says, "I know, I should tell her about this in fact about this place also, there is still a lot I haven't said to her, and time is growing shorter."

He then looks at Umino and says, "But I have to make the moves now because our enemies are starting to, I just hope she'll understood once you've given that to her."

Henry he then goes back from the base and then opens a door that leads to the stairs.

Umino says, "I still wish you'd take me with you to do this, I don't like you're doing this alone."

Henry breaths a sigh and says, "There's nothing about this operation to like, besides you needed here so keep up the work, meanwhile it's time for me to get to work."

Henry he then goes upstairs, and, on the floor, he gets to there are a couple of doors, he goes to the one on the left which leads him into the garage. In there, there are a few sets of vehicles and motorbikes. He then takes out a crystal which is aquamarine blue, this crystal has three wavy lines, and he then closes his eyes and suddenly the stone glows bright blue along with the three wavy lines that have a deep navy-blue glow. The light the stone emits engulfs his whole body and then as he levitates and moves around slowly suddenly there is a black and grey uniform that covers his body, along with black boots, black gauntleted gloves a black cape and then finally his Viking helmet that covers his whole head except for his mouth exposed. He then comes down on the ground gentle and the blue light then fades.

Henry then walks to what looks like a giant black metal shelf with some sort of keypad. He types in the code and then the shelf then opens slowly and in them there are several gun clips for his specialized revolver. He then takes four of them and holsters them into his utility belt. He loads one fresh one into his revolver and it makes a sound to indicated locked and loaded. He then does a little test by turning the little dial with one turn there are three read lights to indicate full auto, two semi auto until he get to one light which is single shot and leaves it there.

Henry makes sure he has plenty of room and then draws out his Atlantean Sword and executes a bushido combo where he does a quick draw and then turns around and executes a diagonal right strike and immediately a left and stops his sword there and keeps in stance right foot forward and left back. And then he turns the sword with one hand and sheaths it.

He then sheaths his sword and then goes to a car that is a black sport car, a light 80s design with two red and white lines on the hood, along with the same lines on both sides of the car that go all the way to the two doors. Window are tinted a light black and the silver hubcaps have a black stripe on them.

The garage door opens and then presses a button to turn on the ignition and activate all the systems of the car. The lights of the car then come up from two panel and are shining bright. He then takes off toward the Tokyo University Library.

Minutes latter Henry without all the cameras block out from Umino's program and no security present. Henry then comes to the front door and then he goes to his utility belt, and he takes out some special kind of metal bar. He then puts it in front of the lock and then suddenly this bar then emits some small green scanning light that scans the interior of the lock and then suddenly the bar then morphs and shapes itself creating special groves on one end. Henry then immediately inserts grooved end of the bar into the keyhole and then turns it and Henry hears a click which lets him know the door is open.

Henry/Tuxedo Shadow then comes into the library, and he walks and as he is walking, he then goes to the directory map, and he looks to see where the museum section is, and it indicates northwest. He then goes that direction and enters the museum section which has a lot of display cases filled with certain old books as well as a few relics from times long gone. But he sees the big one which has the book he seeks; he then comes to the case and then in his utility belt he then takes out a couple of small tools and then goes to the lock and picks it with those tools he then hears the click. Puts the tools back in his utility belt and then opens the glass case up and he sees the book in its magnificent authenticity. Henry then goes to other pouch from his utility belt, and he takes out the mace canister and just as he was about to unscrew the lid but then suddenly hears something behind him.

He immediately turns and sees someone in a red skirt and a sailor outfit with red pumps and long black hair. He sees this girl's violent eyes which seem to have suspicion written all over them.

Tuxedo Shadow surprised by her presence says, "Rei, I didn't expect you, how did you know."

Sailor Mars says, "I have foresight remember."

Tuxedo Shadow says, "Oh, yeah that slipped my mind."

Sailor Mars says, "Also I don't need it to know that you have you eye on that book for a while as you along with your friends have been interested in spell books, so it was bound to happen you be here, I just didn't know when until now."

Tuxedo Shadow says, "I can assure you I won't steel it."

"I know you won't but how are you going to acquire the contents."

Tuxedo Shadow then walks to the downed canister, picks it up and shows it to her.

"With this."

"I don't understand."

"You will."

Mars is still a little puzzled by this and then sees him unscrew the bottom and there ais an old-fashioned skinny camera.

Sailor Mars says, "Looks like a camera my mom use to have."

Tuxedo Shadow says, "This device is a security measure; since we can't legally take this book with us, but it doesn't mean we can't take its context."

"One other question, who builds you this spy tech."

"I'll introduce you may 'be sooner."

Sailor Mars has that slight look of impatience and then says, "You always love keeping me hanging by a thread."

"I know."

He signals Rei to come near the book and Rei knows what he wants her to do as she comes to the ancient text and carefully, she turns the giant hard cover and then goes right to the first page, which contains a lot of scribblings and sketches of different things. Rei looks at the pages and is puzzled as they are written in a language she's never seen before.

Rei then asks, "Do you know what language that is?"

"Yeah, it's a language that's been lost it's called "Sumarian."

"You know who to read it?"

"Unfortunately, no, I'm still not that good at ancient language translations, but I know a couple of people that are."

"Who are they."

"I'll tell you about them in time but for now I need to finish this right away, we don't have much time.

Sailor Mars comes to the book and helps by turning pages for him while Tuxedo Shadow looks into the camera and adjusts the dial a little bit to get the picture into the right frame. Once fully adjusted he then starts to take photographs of every written page. But in the hallway, in the darkness there are several shadows that are moving all heading to the doorway of the library.
