Nobody knows what happened to the past Avatar, it's believed that he was never reborn and the cycle's broken. But after a hundred years, my brother and I meet a firebender named Zuko, the ancient banished Fire Prince and the missing Avatar for the past century. He has some attitude issues to solve along with mastering the four elements but... I believe Zuko can save the world.

38. Author's Note

So, yes, I am alive. And it wasn't my intention to disappear for so long. I know you guys deserve an explanation, but first let me get to why I am writing an Author's Note instead of uploading a new chapter.

Don't worry, I am going to finish this series, and all the other Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra series I have planned, but the reason why I feel so confident in that is because I've grown so much as a writer. And right now I am editing the previous chapters in this fic to replace the old ones, so if you want to keep the original version of this fic, I suggest going to AO3 and downloading it. I really tried to upload at least one new chapter that matched the ones I had posted so far, but I couldn't, I couldn't go back to the person I was when I wrote like that, and I'm proud of it. I'm very proud of the fact that now I have improved skills to express the feelings I meant to put in this fic from the beginning. Don't worry, the plot won't change, the character journey won't change—actually, some characters will get more development thanks to the time I've dedicated to thinking of this fic and their journeys—and the ships won't change either, and yes, this is still a Zutara story.

I'm sorry again for making you wait so long for this, but I… I was somewhat homeless for a good share of last year. I used to live in an unfinished house, so I had to move in with some relatives in the countryside without WiFi, and my mom is still going through her health issues, and now we have moved to another country.

It was just too much for me to handle back then, but I'm hoping I can get back on my feet this time.
