Haley gave in to her husband's request. A DNA test was done on the baby.
Properly called Prenatal cell-free DNA (cfDNA) screening is a blood test for pregnant women. Which can determine paternity as early as 7 weeks.
After a week of waiting the results were in.
Haley and Nathan were seated across from each other.
"According to what is written here. Nathan Scott you are the father. 999.99. Percent. Is there anything else i can do for the both of you.?" The doctor asked.
Looking from Haley to Nathan.
"Not right now. Thank you." Nathan replied.
Finding it harder to look Haley in the eye after this.
"You got what you wanted. This is you're baby."
"You talk about how you need time and space to trust me again."
"How am i supposed to trust feel safe and supported before and after i have this baby with you acting like this.?" Haley questioned.
Nathan locked his eyes on her.
"I'm sorry. Okay. I'm not proud of myself."
"But it had to be done. Let's just get past this." Nathan replied.
"I can't. I love you. But all you've been doing since i got back is trying to get back at me for leaving."
"I was wrong. I made a mistake. That i regret."
"But something has to change." Haley proclaimed.
Nathan felt something break inside of him.
"You broke my heart. You left me! And i'm supposed to give a damn about you're feelings!"
"How selfish and self centered can you be!" Nathan yelled.
"I'm done bending over backwards to repair our marriage."
"Forgive me or don't. I hurt too. I've missed you but not this version of you."
"We're having a daughter by the way!" Haley announced before leaving the office.
Nathan was too angry and upset to attempt to go after her.
By the time he did leave the doctor's office. It had been half an hour later.
It wasn't until he got outside did he find his wife. Passed out and bleeding.
Nathan felt the color drain from face. His heart dropping as he rushed over to her.
