authors note : stay tuned my readers. Thank you..
Cause all I really want is you to stay.
We worked so hard to stay above
All temptations we created
Now we go wander and call it love.
Later on that night
Nathan entered into the quietly making his way up the stairs and into the hallway without being heard or noticed.
It was late. His kids were already asleep. And given how early Haley went to bed between taking care of their children. Doing what needed to be done at the house and whatever was required for school. Her energy was drained by 7 or 8 at the latest.
Nathan peeled off his clothes throwing them into the hamper before. Going into the shower.
He was quick with that too. Once he was finihed he changed into his PJs and climbed into bed.
Haley turned on one of the lamps that was on the end table.
Sat up and looked to him.
"Practice isn't going to keep you out this late. I know you don't have a game for awhile. So where were you tonight.?" Haley questioned.
"Enjoying my last few hours before my every waking hour is consumed with drills and stress."
"I didn't go into detail in my text because i know how you worry and there is nothing for you to stay up late and over think about."
"I'm here now. I'm sorry Hales." Nathan stated matter of fact.
Before he leaned over and kissed her.
Haley kissed him back. Something feeling off though.
But she couldn't figure out or place it.
So instead she pulled him closer.
...
Hours later into a new day. It was raining.
The sky and town quiet. Dark and gloomy.
"You stay here and sleep. I'll take care of the kids and drive them to school." Nathan announced.
"That would be great. They've missed you." Haley replied.
Watching as Nathan left their bedroom.
...
Nadia had her father's black hair and her mom's brown eyes.
While the couple's 4 year old son Austin. Had Haley's brown/blond hair and Nathan's blue eyes.
"Daddy you're here!" Austin exclaimed. Rushing over to his father.
Engulfing him in a hug.
Nathan smiled warmly. Hugging him back.
"You missed all the fun dad. Momma wasn't happy about you not being there."
"And i wasn't happy either." Nadia stated matter of fact.
"I'm sorry babygirl. Things haven't been the easiest around here lately and i'm trying to change that now." Nathan explained.
"I'm making breakfast then taking the both of you to school." He announced.
...
When Haley awoke. It was quiet enough in the home for her to know. She was alone.
Which is why instead of ignoring that nagging feeling regarding her marriage and husband she started to look into it.
She began searching the drawer on Nathan's side of the bed.
At least she would of but it was locked.
When she went searching for a key to open the drawer.
She found a spare cellphone and a stash of money hidden away.
Haley turned on the cellphone. Found out fully charged.
And when she looked into the contacts the only number she found was Rachel's.
She hadn't been focused on anything else but all the evidence she was finding.
Haley hadn't heard the front door open up and footsteps coming up the stairs.
As Nathan found her with empty hands and a strong expression on her face.
"What are you keeping from me.?" "Don't deny it anymore.?" Haley questioned.
