authors note : Blown away and humbled by the support for this story. Thank you my readers. And yes Rachel is doing the most. We learn more about Haley in this chapter.
Awhile Later
"Daddy. You're here. Why don't visit more.?" Dawn questioned. Once she was inside the home.
After hugging her father hello.
Dawn had red hair. Brown eyes. Curve filled body. And may of been 10 but dressed older then that.
All her mother's doing.
"I've missed you honey. I plan to be around alot more."
"I promise you that. I love you." Nathan proclaimed.
"Aren't you going to hug momma goodbye.?" Dawn asked.
Rachel smiled up at Nathan as she stood by the doorway.
"Don't be a stranger." Rachel whispered in his ear.
As they quickly hugged.
Once Nathan was gone. Rachel looked to her daughter.
"I'll order take out for dinner tonight. I know you've been wanting a visit with you're grandma Deb and grandpa Dan. They have some free time in their schedule coming up."
"We'll figure it out." Rachel announced.
Nathan got the location of where Haley and their kids were.
He pressed his feet hard on the gas. Driving towards the home.
...
Hours Later
"You knew where she was all this time." Brooke asked.
"Yeah. She asked me to hold off on telling anyone until she knew for sure she was staying." Lucas explained.
"She's not with Chris right.?" Brooke questioned.
"No." Lucas replied.
"It doesn't really matter who she's with as long as she's safe and her and those kids get a break."
"Even if she did reach out to Chris Haley has self control and won't betray Nathan or their marriage."
"Her heart is with Nathan."
"These days he does one thing and says another."
"We're all on team Haley anyway." Peyton proclaimed.
Lucas took a long sip from his drink.
...
"Relax Hales. The benefit of me never staying somewhere long is the freedom of nobody knowing where i live."
"Nadia and Austin are asleep. Down the hall.
"We've had dinner. Desert."
"You can unwind and relax." Taylor stated matter of fact.
"Haley couldn't relax. She was too on edge. She wouldn't sleep while they were here."
Nathan wouldn't put his head in the sand and wait for her to return.
He would find them and once he did.
Haley knew a fight would happen.
And she needed to emotionally and mentally prepare herself for that.
"Are you still taking you're anti depressants.?" Taylor asked. Looking to her sister.
"I really don't need you monitoring me right now.!" Haley proclaimed.
"Look. You need to be fully functioning and taking care of yourself."
"Otherwise you won't be able to take care of Nadia and Austin."
"The way you need too. I love you."
"Get some sleep." Taylor advised.
Haley waited until Taylor was upstairs in her room.
Before going through her purse and getting out her
Anti-depressant medication bottle.
It was empty. She normally very on track with filling it out but with everything going on it had been put to the back of her mind.
She had first gotten diagnosed with depression during her freshman year in high school.
She had kept the diagnosis to herself up until. She couldn't anymore. During her pregnancies she stopped taking the medication.
Then went back on once she was able too.
There were periods where her mind made her believe she didn't need the medication.
And right now she didn't need anything else used against her so she wouldn't refill the prescription.
...
Nathan made his way to Taylor's house in the woods. In the early morning. Parking his car in the street.
