Chapter 9 The gatekeeper
God of Darkness stop right now, an unknown voice said.
Issei looks over to see a man who looks like he is in his early twenties. He was wearing golden armor, a spear made of gold and the sword at the top was made of light.
Oh so who the fuck are you Issei asks the man? The only name I was given was the gatekeeper, the man stated.
Just then a black gauntlet appeared and spoke.
Your energy feels like my brothers. How is this possible Darkness asks the gatekeeper? My master, The god of light, created me after you were sealed, the gatekeeper stated. My master knew you would come back and kill the gods so I was sent here to make sure that you wouldn't. But let's get this over with, the gatekeeper stated.
Both of us got into a battle stance.
Inside issei's head
Partner, don't fool around, Darkness told him. Why Issei asked? He is way stronger then he looks he could kill you quickly Darkness told him. Really he's that strong issei asked? Yes so go in your forbidden balance breaker immediately Darkness yells at him. Ok fine dont yell at me Issei says while chuckling.
Out of issei's head
Issei goes into his forbidden balance breaker bringing both his god butcher sword and ascalon.
Both fighters rush at each other with their weapons in their hands. They rush at each other clashing. Issei and the gatekeeper slash at each other with the gatekeeper dodging every attack. The gatekeeper stabs issei in the chest. Issei keeps slashing and then he drops the swords and shoots two dragon shots then issei gets behind the gatekeeper and summons both his swords and stabs him in the chest. They both jump back. The gatekeeper heals his wounds. Issei then talks to Darkness.
Darkness heal my wound Issei tells him. Yes already on it Darkness reply's.
Issei wounds heal when they heal issei rushes at the gatekeeper. Issei swings both swords but the gatekeeper blocks his attacks and knees him in the gut and swings his spear but issei swings his body around. The gatekeeper using his speed dropkicks issei and shoots a beam of light at issei. Issei gets hit by the beam but recovers and rushes at him full speed but the gatekeeper moves and intercepts Issei knocking him down. Issei Boosts his power to his limit and at full power slashes at the gatekeeper. The gatekeeper blocks and slashes down which issei blocks. Issei boosts to his full limit and both clash faster than sound itself. During the struggle issei starts losing ground and the gatekeeper starts exploiting his blind spots. Issei puts as many boosts in his legs and jumps back. Issei puts his swords away.
Issei use my powers you will be at a disadvantage but you will have more power Darkness tells issei.
Issei, acknowledging what he said, stands still and uses the powers of Darkness. Issei pulls out his god slayer scythe and puts the end on the ground.
In the most insane, demonic, and dark voice imaginable Issei says. Call me the grim reaper cause you will die here and now.
The gatekeeper gets a chill but remains calm on the outside.
Issei charges at the gatekeeper and slashes at him. The gatekeeper blocks and slashes down which issei blocks. Issei uses his scythe and uses the blade and gets it out of his hand. Issei slashes the gatekeepers chest and issei jumps at him and choke slams him then uses his scythe and forces the scythe down piercing the shoulder of the gatekeeper. Issei charges a Dark annihilation blast but the gatekeeper goes full power pushing issei back. He rips the scythe out of his shoulder. Both beings summons both their weapons to them. Issei rushes at the gatekeeper swings his scythe but the gatekeeper blocks. Issei summons god butcher and stabs the gatekeeper. Issei pours energy in the wound trying to slice it down but it doesn't work. Issei jumps back and shoots multiple dragon shots at the gatekeeper who slashes them in half. The gatekeeper goes full speed and gets in front of issei. The gatekeeper stabs issei inflicting a ton of damage. Issei then charges and both clash at each other with the gatekeeper starting to lose ground but he powers up and pushes Issei back and stabs him multiple times.
Issei falls down but gets up and says. You tough bastard, I will kill you issei screams.
Issei releases a bunch of power making a grim reaper out of his aura. The grim reaper puts his hands up and makes a ball the size of a skyscraper. He throws the ball at the gate keeper who scoffs and slices it in half. The gatekeeper gets behind issei slicing both arms off and both his legs. Issei screams and falls over. The gate keeper gets next to Issei and starts talking.
Well that was fun. I guess I need to kill you now. If it wasn't for you I could've killed the gods Issei screamed. No you would have been stopped by all one hundred thousand of olympus soldiers The gatekeeper said. Oh is that so well thanks for the information.
Issei then grew legs and arms of darkness and formed what he called dimension rift and jumped through it. He arrives at his base to see Loki and fenrir. Loki is shocked but before he can say anything issei interrupts him.
Heh that fool the more i fight the stronger i will get Issei says while passing out.
