Michael drove up to the Freshman dorms where Yebin/Mimi saw Jake sitting outside on the benches overlooking the vast, dark ocean crashing over and over again. Jake saw her get out of Michael's car and smiled in anticipation. Is that my girl? He thought. Then his eyes got dark and glared at the boy next to her. What The hell?! Does this girl already have a fucking boyfriend or something? No way right… No, this girl is mine. I can still take her from him…he better be gay… or I'll make his life a living nightmare.

"Hey! Just coming back?" Jake asked cheerfully when Yebin slowly approached, ahead of Michael. She was too excited to see Jake, her crush, sitting outside almost as if he was waiting for her.

"Hey Jake, yeah! I just got back from dinner!" Yebin said equally as cheerfully as she went up to him on the bench. They sat down together to sit and watch the waves. Yebin quickly forgot about the hurt she felt from Michael at dinner as she saw Jake's beautiful face and vibrant smile. He smiled like a movie star.

"Oh so you remember my name? Good," Jake said with a soft smirk.

"Yes… how could I forget," Yebin said licking her lips nervously in front of him. She didn't know how to relax her face and wanted to stick her tongue out. She didn't though because she didn't want him to think she was weird. Thank god she had her courage liquor to help her relax in the moment. She just enjoyed how much love and friendship she was receiving today.

Jake had looked for her all around during dinner time just to find out from Yebin's suitemates who were talking behind her back that she did not come to dinner. He was furious when he overheard those girls talking smack about her and made a mental note of which girls it was. He faked nice during the time just to find out where she had gone. He was even more pissed to find out she went to dinner with a boy… However, seeing her now gush at him and smile into his eyes made him forget about how pissed he was earlier, as he tried to enjoy every second with her. Jake smiled at her with his eyes open wide you can see all the whites around his eyes. He leaned in close to Yebin's face and said, "Good. Don't ever forget me."

How can I ever forget these beautiful, brown eyes Jake.. she thought.

"I won't, obviously, Jake…" she said shyly.

"By the way, you never asked me my name…" she said, pouting a little because she couldn't believe that wasn't the first thing he asked.

Your name is my baby Jake thought inside. He wished he could just say it aloud to her, but he didn't want to be creepy. "To be honest, I already know your name, Yebin or Mimi. I looked it up today when I couldn't find you…"

Yebin was stunned. She was touched and had no idea this boy had this much interest in her…wow… she thought, how romantic…

Yebin bit her lower lip as Jake stared into her eyes happily while smiling softly. He had such a beautiful smile, especially when he wasn't around anyone else… As Jake and Yebin were staring into each other's eyes and smiling softly, Michael interrupted their moment.

"Okay Princess. Your assistant is going to bed. I hope you have a happy birthday Yebin," he said sarcastically, rolling his eyes at their special moment together.

Yebin?! How does this dick know her real name?! AGHHHHHHHH he better not have gotten to her first, Jake thought. "Wait birthday? It's your birthday today?" He asked aloud, even though secretly, he found out her birthday earlier today and was waiting to surprise her the next morning with flowers and a gift, maybe even a note that said "I love you." Or maybe that was too soon… he couldn't decide and he wasn't sure. For now, he wanted to get to know her organically.

"No… it's tomorrow!" Yebin said happily, secretly hoping they would do something special together, and accidentally completely ignoring Michael, preoccupied with this boy in front of her who made her feel a way she's never, ever imagined she would ever feel about anyone. Actually, for the first time ever, Yebin could see her future holding happiness, love, and friendship, instead of her usual despair, emptiness, and loneliness.

Michael looked at Yebin in exasperation and shook his head. "Bye Michael, good night. Thank you for today!" She said as he stormed off angrily and went back to his dorm. He was planning on harboring these feelings and taking it out on Yebin later, not even thinking about how he hurt her tonight.

"I see… got something special planned, Princess Yebin?" Jake said with emphasis as to take princess away from Michael. Jake didn't realize or care that Michael was mocking Yebin with "princess" and thought he should become Yebin's prince… He would be Prince Eric to her Ariel. She reminded him of a little alien mermaid, walking on land for the first time. For some reason, Yebin felt sacred and dearly special to him. He couldn't explain it. Maybe this was what people called fate and destiny. I love you already, Yebin, he thought.

Yebin smiled shyly almost as if she heard… What is this feeling… she wondered.

"Um… nothing special planned, but would you like to go to this cafe I looked up? It looks popular here," Yebin said, hoping and praying he would say yes and wouldn't be busy…

"A cafe? For your birthday? Why not somewhere better? We should go out on my yacht!" Jake said with a wild look in his eyes and a wild smile, hoping to impress her.

Yebin gasped in surprise. She blinked while trying not to break eye contact. Wow… meeeee?!?!? Lil ole me??? I feel so special she thought while blinking in bliss that he wanted to spend her special day with her.

"Wow… I'd love to Jake… I'm so surprised… You just… have a yacht here?" she asked covering her mouth with both her hands because she was so surprised, impressed, and felt so special…

"Well, I need to ask my sister to ask my parents, but I'm sure we can!" Jake said.

"You know… I don't expect anything special… If your family says no, let's check out that cafe… it's called Malibu Farm and people said it was good.." Yebin said, not wanting to put Jake in a difficult position.

"Yebin, ew… Malibu Farm?! You're so basic, and it's not even a cafe," Jake said laughing about her naivety.

"Huh? Oh… I heard they have good coffee there.. So I thought it was a cafe, my bad," she said feeling really embarrassed in front of Jake… "Um.. it's kind of my first day here so I don't know much about Malibu, heh."

Jake scrunched his nose at her and smiled shyly. He found her so adorable that he didn't even want to part with her for a second tonight… but she looked so innocent, he couldn't just take her back to his room, right? I mean, I wouldn't ever do anything to her, he thought. I just want to hold her like a bear while we sleep tonight… but she looks really innocent, and she's asian, so I don't know if she would agree… should I at least ask?

"Um, Yebin… do you want to like cuddle and go to sleep with me tonight?" Jake asked carefully.

Yebin gasped in surprise. She looked scared… "Um… Uh… Just sleep? Because, I'm not too sure… I've never slept with a boy before…" she said while covering her mouth again with both hands, but this time, it was out of anxiety. Jake's eyes went wider than Jupiter's ring as he tried to backtrack. "Oh I meant fall asleep." he said with emphasis so Yebin would know he was planning on being respectful.

"What else would you mean…" she asked suspiciously. What else would he have meant besides sleeping, she thought suspiciously. Maybe he is already thinking about sex and stuff because this is college now… Hmmm no, that's not a good idea. I'm not even his girlfriend yet or anything.

Jake looked nervous and scared. He was squeezing the palms of his hands so tightly that he thought they might bleed. He gulped when he saw that she was ready to give her answer.

"I'm sorry, Jake… I don't think that's a good idea… you haven't asked me out on a date or anything yet so I don't feel comfortable… yet," she said with emphasis on the 'yet' to let him know she did want to in the future though.

Jake smiled kindly and politely, his ego damaged a bit, but he tried to understand. He started getting a little paranoid inside about whether or not she would disapprove of the fact that he's already had sex before in high school, and she clearly hadn't. Ahhhhh shit. I hope she doesn't think I'm a dirtbag who's just trying to see her naked…

"Okay, don't worry! I'll just walk you back to your room tonight, and see you tomorrow for breakfast then?" he asked politely, trying to recover his princely image. He saw her as Disney princess come to life and could not believe she was even real. He felt determined to become a Disney prince for her, even though Yebin didn't even like Disney.

"Wow! Really? Do you want to check out the dining hall together?" she asked happily, glad that he did not hate her for not agreeing with his plans for tonight.

"Hahaha, yeah I'll take you to the dining hall. Your ugly suitemates will be so jealous," he said, beyond relieved that she still liked him and didn't immediately hate him for suggesting she come to his room at night.

Yebin laughed so hard, but said, "Aww, Jake, that's mean. Don't call girls ugly."

Yeah whatever fuck those girls. I'm glad she doesn't know what they're saying about her behind her back, he thought, everyone will be so jealous of me for bagging the hottest girl on the first day too. Heh, I'm the man.

"Come on, I'll walk you back Miss Majesty," he said, as he took her arm and gently guided her down the hill. "Watch your step Princess. I don't want you to fall."

Yebin flushed because she couldn't believe how a prince was recognizing her for the princess she was.

"Thank you Jacob Gyllenhaal. Yeah, I looked up your name too!" She said, finally after harboring the fact that she stalked him like a crazy person the first day they met.
