Regardless if it's been a while or recently, and as a welcome to anyone whose new to my stories, let me say hello to you all! I apologize that this isn't a new chapter, but this is important and I hope you take the time to read this update notice.

Also, to remove any worries to those familiar with the few I've made when my writing slump began? Know this update ONLY has good news this time.

Notice: This update will be deleted on 10/10 - READING IS ADVISED

To start things off, the primary part of this announcement is, as not everyone may have seen it on my profile... that I am officially out of my writing slump! Thanks to everyone whose been so supportive and understanding these last two years. However, while I am getting back to regularly updating, there are a few things that have changed since then that will affect my update rate.

First off, and this is only temporary, but my family and I will be making up for lost time with our extended family. The pandemic caused a lot of our family events (both annual and non-annual) to be canned. However, now that vaccines are able to cover nearly all ages, we're making up for it since we have our yearly Halloween Party on the way, alongside Thanksgiving and Christmas, which we all had to spend on our own since 2020 due to new family members.

I'll still try updating for the rest of 2022, but it might not be that much.

Second, which some may have noticed via the potential stories listed on my profile, I've become quite the fan of Genshin Impact and now play it regularly. On one hand this has cut into some of my writing time, but on the other, it's also helped give me new ideas because of the gorgeous landscapes and some lore I've found. The same is true with other Hoyoverse games that I don't play since their stories are all so interesting, and has helped my spark recover.

My only regret is that too much of Genshin Impact's story has yet to be released, making it too risky for me to start my fanfic idea for it because I want to avoid retconning anything if contradicted by the still unreleased content. That being said... if anyone can show me the Mondstat region story is too early in for too many retcons, then I might at least consider releasing that part.

Lastly, but most importantly, I've started restructuring how I organize my stories a little. This one's a little more complex, so I have story specific details I'll be sharing below to explain it. Though if it goes well? You can expect my updates rates to increase while also getting more to my stories than you did prior!

With all of that said, here's the story specific details:

Specific Details for Legend of the Heavenly Dragons

Before I share anything specific to this story, I'll be sharing some details it will share with two others, since it's part of my "Big Three" fanfics (the ones with the most content planned for them) and said idea is tied to their sizes.

Part of my new organizing technique is that I'll be using Side Stories to help share content that I find will be hard to fit into the story. Not so much that I'll be unable to add them in, but that doing so would require either an arc that counts as a whole flashback, or as either episodic/sporadic scenes across a few chapters. The former's got a lot of problems in properly executing it, while the latter's main issue is tricky to properly do and can end up being a hassle.

I'll be sharing these Side Stories via two ways, Minor and Major.

Those that fall into the Minor category will be put into a single story, like an anthology of sorts. Those that fall into the Major category will be entire stories of their own since they're unique or big enough to be separated into their own. This also means some of the Side Stories that were formerly AO3 exclusives will be transferred over here, but not all of them depending on what they are, including those that I haven't publish as of yet.

Now, with that out of the way, to the actual story specific info.

Revisions are still ongoing... though I've hit a small snag that's had a justified reason for why I haven't uploaded the second chapter as of yet. See, I plan to swap the order of Ch 2 and 3 from the original version because of a plan I have for Ch 4 making it better to swap their former placements, the current issue with that, however? I've since decided to change the name of Ai, as it's too similar to a OC in Daydreamer Dragon who has a similar role. Until that's figured out... Ch 2's revision progress is at a standstill, so if anyone can help me decide on a new name for her? That would really help.

On a similar note, I have a similar issue in the way for the half of Issei and Vali's powers that aren't from their Dragons, albeit this one is less of a concern since it will only matter once the story hits the V3 adaptation... and yet I've been stuck on this for so long that I need help. This info does partially fall into spoiler territory, however, for those who wish to avoid that.

And with that, here's a preview scene to thank you all for taking time to read this. Said scene will help somewhat with what I said about Issei and Vali's powers, though won't spoil what they are.

Issei was knocked into a nearby tree, coughing out some spit once he made impact. As he slid down, Shirone let out a gasp before turning her head to the slimy frog man that had once again shifted its attention onto her.

"Now that I've taken care of that small annoyance, where was I? Ah... that's right." The frog man stated.

His gave her terrifying smirk.

"Killing you!" He announced.

Deeply inhaling, Shirone saw the frog man's body swell like a balloon once more, wiggling as he churned his poisonous mucus into a spray of acid once again. As the feeling of helplessness took over and she tried in vain to move her injured body, Issei slowly looked up and saw the terror in her eyes... right before he saw the tears, making his widen.

'Those eyes...' Issei thought.

The memory of seeing an 11-year old Vali shedding those tears flashed through his mind, and his fist tightened.

'I will not...' He continued.

He was on his feet right as the frog man spewed out the acidic geyser in Shirone's direction. He stood in the path of the attack, and held his arms out as she looked at him in surprise, while the frog man stared at him with a look of amusement.

The acid hit him... only for nothing to happen, to the surprise of both!

'What!? Impossible! He shouldn't be able to use his body's immunity to the poison to !' The frog man mentally screamed.

"I will not... let myself feel that powerless ever again!" Issei screamed.

His eyes started to glow brightly as he released a pulse of similarly energy, pushing the frog man back and ending his acid attack. Once the cruel amphibian managed to get back on his feet, he joined Shirone in gasping at the swirl of light magic that was now swirling around his form, though only he felt a sudden sense of fear swallow his form.

"That light... it can't be! Are you-"

The frog man's words never finished as Issei immediately charged towards him, releasing a loud scream as he threw a strong and fast right hook into his stomach.

*"CROAK!"*

A series of fast, weak sounding croaks left his open mouth from the blow. Issei's eyes stopped glowing as he let a few heavy breaths, suddenly feeling exhausted.

"Ri...bbit?" The frog man suddenly let out, feeling strange.

Shirone and Issei both gasped as, from the same spot Issei's fist was still lodged into the frog man's gut... a series of black, faintly glowing cracks started to form, spreading across his body at a record pace.

"No... please, no! NO!" He shrieked.

A final pained croak left the frog man's body as the cracks spread everywhere, and his body shattered apart. Issei took a step back, both he and Shirone looking at the sight of metal fragments raining within a small radius of where the frog man once stood. Not long after, magic particles gathered into one spot and formed into a normal pond frog.

'A regular frog!?' They both thought.

Letting out a quiet ribbit, the frog immediately hopped away, seemingly unaware of what was going on or the fact it seemed to formerly be a sentient frog man that... broke like a machine.

"OK, what exactly did we just witness?" Issei asked.

"I... have no idea..." Shirone admitted in confusion.

He scratched his head at that.

"Well, whatever that was about, I should probably get you out of here. Let me just get you..." Issei suggested.

Shirone felt Issei lift her from the ground and onto his back, and in the process of this, she saw his sun necklace.

'You have it!' She realized.

"Alright, so where should I be taking you?" Issei inquired, turning his head to look at her.

"Sorry for how sudden this is, but... is the name Vali Himesaki familiar to you?" She inquired.

Issei froze as he heard that question.

"How do you know about Vali?" He asked.

"I knew it, you're the one Cleria was talking about! Then there's no time for me to explain! Vali's in danger, and we need your help to save her!" Shirone shouted.

With those words, Issei's eyes went wide.
