Carne Village

Maple hadn't had this much fun in a long time. The NPCs looked like real people! the artificial intelligence had improved a lot, although the real that they were and the amount of blood they released were unpleasant at the start, she felt something bad when she saw them being devoured by the shield and sometimes seeing them beg for they life felt cruel, anyway, they were bad so they deserve it, also she was having such a great time that the couldn't care less.

Realizing quite early on that she was dealing with too many enemies she finally decided to draw her short sword yelling [paralyzing shout] at which point all the knights and villagers in the village fell to the ground paralyzed, Maple wondered why the ability also affected the villagers, may be they had changed the AoE efects in the NPCs, she was about to use [Hydra] to finish the job when her stomach rumbled, an innocent curiosity took hold of Maple, she look at her surroundings with a bit of suspicion before she took a first bite out of one of the soldiers ripping off a chunk of armor and muscle from the soldiers biceps under it, her eyes open with surprise and she couldn't stop before she finished the boddy, with a serious and concentrated face Maple qualified.

|Not bad but it lacks some spice, some poison perhaps|

As Maple started feasted a second knight, heavy footsteps reached her location.

Bonk-! The sound echoed through the village as the Death-Knight's sword ricocheted off Maple's head, Maple for her part was nearly choking for the surprise.

| A wild Death-Knight appeared!|

Bonk-! A second time, the sword ricocheted off her head.

|Wait, wait a second! Don't attack me while I'm eating!| Maple knows for the several times facing the Ainz Ooal Gown guild that the undead were immune to her poison, doing her best to swallow Maple tried to raise her shields defending herself from a new attack, finally Maple raised her shield and used [Devour] on the Death-knight, her mind instantly prepared for a Momonga's following spell that never came, she suddenly felt nostalgic and somewhat sad, Momonga and his companions' attack never came but Maple cheered up thinking that Momonga would make the most of this update and maybe even convince some of the Ainz Ooal Gown old members to come back to the game.

Then Maple reminded the last message she sent to Momonga and she started to die of embarrassment as she was rolling on the ground she remembered that she was in the middle of an event.

With a sigh she start to slowly arrange all the paralyzed knights in a pile while picking up the paralyzed villagers with Syruop, then Maple started feasting with the knights without wasting the smalest bite. There was no doubt on her eyes, neither compation, she didn't saw them as humans, and now she wasn't able to see them as other than a tasty food. Strange but at this time no interface appeared to indicate what had happened, however if it had appeared it would have read: [human eater (new title acquired) receives a 50% less damage from humans, instills level 1 fear in humans]

Enry and her sister walked through the forest slowly and silently towards the village, Enry tightly holding the goblin summoning horn that Ainz Ooal Gown had given her, she knew that Ainz had come to save the village, but there was something in the atmosphere that it crept deep into her mind, a bad feeling climbing up her spine, there was no sound of battle but no sound of celebration either.

When the sisters entered the village they saw blood stains on the ground but no bodys, they kept walking seeing the same scene repeated over and over again, finding a single body of a villager but not a single one of the attackers, was this the work of of Ainz Ooal Gown? They didn't know and they couldn't do anything but continuing walking until they reached the village square where they found a twisted and surreal image.

For good or bad fortune all the villagers were healthy but piled and paralyzed on a giant tortoise, next to it was a girl in dark armor and on her legs was a person with extremely wide eyes populated by fear, foam escaping from his mouth while convulsing in pain unable to resist his fate, Maple clasped her hands together and tenderly said |Itadakimasu~ | then proceed to brutally devour the still-living soldier without leaving even a piece of armor, fear invaded Enry and she froze for a moment when Maple turned her innocent but predatory eyes on her, Maple was salivating a bit and her stomach rumbled at the saw of the sisters, with blood stained mouth and both, the hands and the dark armor soaked in the same metallic liquid Maple widened her eyes in surprise as she noted Enry's fear. | ah! Calm down, the danger is over| Maple said, but that wasn't reassuring at all, specially coming from someone stained in blood who had just eaten a person alive, Enry looked into the eyes of the villagers piled on top of the turtle, they were terrified and begging for help, Enry understood instantly but she wanted to deny it, they were all the next on the menu, gathering all the bravery she could muster into her small body she asked |W-w-what happened to Ainz-sama's skeleton?|

Maple's eyes widened instantly as she heard the name of her archnemesis guild's |was that a Death-King of Ainz?!| She was shaking of emotions, she would find Momonga! |But wait, why he didn't atcked me after I eated it?| Enry didn't know why that human-eater monster reacted in such a cute way but she heard the fate of the summoning of her savior: eaten. She stepped back and protected her sister from her, was there nothing she could do to save herself from such a monster? Enry squeezed the horn in her hand as she looked at it determinedly before blowing it.

Maple sighed using the tip of her sword she pulled out a piece of metal that she had stuck between her teeth, the excitement of seeing her archenemy again faded as she embarrassingly remembered the declaration of war she had sent before the super update. Maple put her hands to her face and shrugged red with embarrassment, she didn't feel able to face Momonga until she destroyed Nazarick's tomb, although "destroy" sounded very strong, throughout her playtime and during the declive of Yggdrasil, Maple saw how Momonga was left alone when it came to managing the guild. Maple really missed all the guild members of Ainz Ooal Gown and ther futile attempts to defeat her, especially Toch-me-dono and those bonks! he used to give her, he was the one who starts playing the role of a hero every time Maple turned into a giant monster, the day he left the game it was really a shame.

Maple could only suspect how difficult it would be to rebuild Nazarick's great tomb if she annihilated it to the ground, and Maple had somehow grown fond of Ainz Ooal Gown's floor guardians even though she knew they were NPCs and could be resurrected, she felt bad at kill them. So Maple hardened her will and she decided that she would reach the throne deep in the tomb of Nazarick without killing a single NPC! This is how Maple would do it! That was the way she would destroy all the pride of the Great Tomb of Nazarick and finally earn the title of "Conqueror of Nazarick" (currently vacant title donated by the community)!

I've already written chapters 4 and 5, now working on 6, both short like this and to be honest I'm not sure where I want to take the story, I have a general idea but any idea is greatly appreciated, I also want to stress that I don't have the knowledge deeper into overlord so if there's anything I'm missing feel free to tell me, I'd really appreciate it too.
