And skipping ahead we are into season 2.
Tyron knew the mission and what was to come. But this was out of his league, he had no idea why Darth Sidious, Dooku's master, had decided to assign him on a mission that was not in the Separatists' books. He was to meet up with renowned bounty hunter Cad Bane at one of the seedier apartments on Coruscant. He hated Coruscant, it brought back bad memories of his childhood. Especially with… He put those thoughts aside, entering the apartment where Bane and another person were waiting. This was a Changeling, the species that were known for taking on a disguise like that of any other species.
"And finally, someone who will make sure we're both out alive." Bane finished.
"I assume you're Cad Bane." Tyron said.
"I am. You must be the Sith Lord's agent then yes?" Bane asked.
"Well, I was assigned at the last minute but yes, that's me. A pleasure bounty hunter." Tyron said.
"Um, if I may interrupt." A small droid spoke up.
"Ah yes, please speak up Todo." Bane said sharply.
"I have been given all the technical data regarding security systems in the Jedi Temple." Todo said.
"Both the vent shafts and the vault itself are equipped with all kinds of traps and security measures. Todo can take them out, but we'll need help from someone inside the Jedi library. And that's where your talents as a changeling will come in." Bane explained nodding his head toward the body that Tyron just noticed now.
"He looks like a Jedi." The changeling said.
"Good observation on that. You couldn't tell by the robes?" Tyron asked sarcastically.
"Ha. I already like you kid. You call it as you see it. Anyway, yes he was, his name was Ord Enisence." Bane explained before changing the screen. "You should be able
to walk into the Archives and monitor us without a problem." The changeling then walked up to the body and touched the hand and turned into the deceased Jedi.
"Now that I'm a Jedi, I can do that." The Changeling said in her normal voice and then in the Jedi's voice.
"Impressive." Tyron said.
"Good. You'll need these." Bane said tossing her an earpiece. "They're ear commlinks so we can keep in communication." He then tossed one to Tyron.
"Why do I need one if I'm going with you?" Tyron asked.
"What if we get separated or worse one of us dies?" Bane asked.
"I don't think we'll die—" Tyron started.
"Be that as it may," Bane said sternly. "I will not have you be separated or dead. So take it kid." Bane said. Tyron sighed but accepted the earpiece.
"The vault is in the library." The changeling noted. "Which backs onto the communication center. There will be swarms of Jedi nearby."
"We'll use that to our advantage." Bane said.
"Even if you get into the vault how are you going to crack that safe?" The changeling said.
"I can crack that safe open." Tyron said the two bounty hunters looking at him. "What? I am the Sith apprentice here to aid you. I doubt it was just for protection was it?" He said. Bane looked at him kind of impressed.
"No, in fact I think that's a good idea." Bane said.
Tyron held onto Bane's coat while he flew them to the east tower.
"Cato come in. Cato are you there yet? Cato come in." Bane said in his wrist link.
"Well, she better know what she's doing." Tyron noted.
"She'll come through." Bane said.
"I'm in." Cato said.
"It's about time." Bane said. "Just tell us where to get in."
"All right, there's a weak point in the shield that Todo should be able to break through. I'm beaming him the coordinates now." Cato said.
"Okay I've got it." The droid said twitching a bit.
"I will jam the temple's scanners." Cato said.
"Let's see, it's around her somewhere." The droid said before figuring out which part of the shield to touch. "There." Bane and Tyron then entered the area.
"Well, that droid of yours is a little handy, when it isn't annoying." Tyron said.
"Hehe, I'm beginning to like you, kid." Bane said.
"I do have that effect on people." Tyron said.
Now in the vents Bane and Tyron were making their way through.
"The control board for the fan should be on your left." The changeling said. Todo touched one of the buttons and shut down the fan.
"All clear sir" Todo said.
"Thank you for the obvious droid." Tyron said in a sarcastic tone.
"Actually that's not quite right. The fan you're passing through has a security switch." Cato said.
"I do not see anything. Besides we've already gotten past the—" Before the droid could say anything a loud buzzing noise was heard and the fans came back on, sucking all of them toward the upper fan.
"Todo we're getting sucked into the fan!" Bane shouted.
"Let me see if I can shut it down!" Tyron shouted before using the Force to stop the fans.
"Come on kid! Hurry!" Bane shouted.
"I'm doing my best!" Tyron gritted through his teeth.
"Hold on everyone, I've got it from here." Cato said deactivating the fans. Tyron landed gracefully at the vent they were searching for. Bane and Todo caught up.
"Took you long enough." Tyron said.
"Shut it kid." Bane snapped back. "Nice job on the fan though." He said in a sort of impressed tone
"Thank you." Tyron said.
They made their way through the vents until they found a room with lasers guarding something.
"Perfect, let's go in." Todo said.
"No." Bane said blocking the droid. "Cato, come in. we're over the vault."
"Give me a moment to check out the security systems." An old woman said.
"What's wrong with your voice?" Bane asked, confused.
"Change of plans. I'm the librarian now." Cato confirmed.
"Hurry it up Cato. We can't stay hidden for long." Bane said.
"The vault is filled with laser sensors that go in every direction." Cato said. "I'll try to deactivate the whole system from here." Suddenly Tyron heard footsteps and Bane knew it too.
"Just hurry! I can hear them. They're looking for us in the vent system." Bane said. "Can you deal with them?" He said to Tyron.
"I can't say for certain. If I know who it is I'm dealing with I'll let you know." Tyron said hearing more of their footsteps.
"The Jedi are coming closer." Bane said to Cato.
"I've got it, go in." Cato said. The lasers then deactivated allowing Bane and Tyron entrance to the vault. They then got to work on opening the vault.
"Are you going to work on the laser gate boy?" Bane asked irritated. Tyron shot out some Force Lightning and deactivated the lasers.
"I told you this was easy." Tyron said, getting to work on the vault itself. "Ah, Jedi vaults, predictable, yet hard to crack. If you're a Jedi. For a Sith, it's as easy as, well anything really."
"Cato, come in. Cato?" Bane asked in the comm link. But no one was answering. "Something's gone wrong."
"What do you mean? Did that changeling get captured?" Tyron asked.
"I don't know. Can you cut a hole here?" Bane asked referring to the other side.
"That's too easy." Tyron said igniting his blade and slicing a small hole, then getting back to work on the vault.
"Todo! Go to the communications center." Bane ordered the little droid.
"What?" Todo asked shocked.
"You heard me." Bane said.
"Bane, the communications center will be crawling with Jedi. Why do I need to go in there?" Todo asked.
"Because if you don't, I'll sell whatever is left of you for scraps." Tyron said.
"Okay, okay." The droid said making his way into the hole.
"Alright. That should do it." Tyron said when he was finished. Bane placed some timer on the side, he and Tyron then went to other way. The timer was a bomb which detonated. "Now time to collect the prize." Tyron said. But as he was about to move Bane pulled him back. Tyron looked at him confused until the two Jedi he hated most dropped down. Anakin Skywalker and Obi-Wan Kenobi.
"The communications center! Quick!" Kenobi said. He and Skywalker went to the hole Tyron had cut.
"Ah. That's why you wanted that cut. Distract the Jedi, while we go after the real prize." Tyron said.
"Correct. You're learning fast kid. Keep it up and you may be sharper than even I am one day." Bane said.
"I'm sure you'll live a long time to see it." Tyron said. They opened the doors and made their way into the vaults where dozens, if not hundreds of holocrons were stored. Bane picked the one they were looking for and stored it in his bag. Then they stole some cloaks and hoods from Jedi and made their way out of the temple to the next part of the mission.
Well, there you have it. The next two chapters will be, well, the next two episodes. I wanted Tyron to have a few scenes with Cad Bane, because I do have a plan for them in future stories.
