CHAPTER 11:

The young woman remained with her body still, listening to the man close the door of the library behind him and walk slowly into the room. She heard him stop.

"Julia?"

Julia looked up quickly, not believing her ears. She thought she heard William's voice whispering her first name.

"Julia…?"

William lowered his head in disappointment and felt his heart break a little more. He had been looking for the young woman for over an hour and he really thought she would be here. That she might have waited for him in the library. Where they had met earlier. He wanted to burst into tears. She was surely dead… All alone.

"William!"

The detective looked up in amazement, to find a Julia Ogden standing between the library desks, completely frightened.

"Julia!" exclaimed the young man.

He felt his heart pounding, adrenaline rushing through his tired veins again. He could not help but run towards the young woman who did the exact same thing on her side. They found themselves in the center of the room and hugged each other tightly, both sobbing and sighing in fear, relief, and dread…

William inhaled the perfume of the young woman with force. Then, he pulled his face back from her hair at the same time as the young woman withdrew hers from his neck. On the same movement, they leaned over and kissed each other with a passion that they did not suspect of a single second that they each had in themselves. Their tongues almost danced for dominance, William's hands squeezing Julia's hips to bring her as close to his own body as possible.

Julia hooked her arms around William's back, not wanting this moment to end. It was crazy. They had only known each other for a few hours, but it felt like it had been a lifetime. They wanted to spend all their lives together, however short they would be if they could not get out of this ordeal.

"Julia…Julia." William called, forcing himself back from their embrace reluctantly. "We must go. There is an open window upstairs. We can go through there and run away…"

"I saw the exact same exit. It is in a bathroom."

"Why didn't you leave?" wondered William.

"I didn't want to leave without you. I've been looking for you for hours, I thought you were…that you would have been…" Julia lost her voice as she lowered her head.

William lifted her gently by the chin and made her look at him.

"I've been looking everywhere for you too. I didn't want to leave without you...I was afraid you weren't alive." William felt tears well up in his eyes. "We absolutely have to leave Julia!"

"Yes! Let's go!" Julia exclaimed, feeling a new hope rising within her.

They had found each other, there was an exit… Maybe they were going to get out of this in the end.

Note: Whoa! A fiery first kiss from Jilliam! But no time now we must leave this mansion! Will they get there easily ? Thank you for the last comment I received, I'm so grateful. So happy you still like my story :)
