Some time later, Lady Ciel returned to the ballroom after the masked stranger mysteriously disappeared.
Vincent expressed his concern to Sebastian, who calmed his master as he pushed an elegant, stacked tray of champagne glasses into the event space for the guests.
Sebastian wore a bright smile as he served the entirety of the gathering sparkling glasses filled with the bubbling beverage while the ball's guests all clambered around.
Ciel turned away to hide her smirk as she listened to her father ask his butler question after question.
She avoided her parents and did her best to keep her head down for the rest of the evening.
The blushing radiance on her pale cheeks that lingered from the pleasure Sebastian had brought her would have raised more than one eyebrow.

Eventually, the youngest Lady Phantomhive slyly escaped the confines of her social occasion.
In the chaos that came with the aftermath of cleaning the ballroom, once the evening's many guests left the manor, Sebastian allowed himself the luxury of temporarily evading his master and helping his new fiancé prepare for bed.
Although Ciel held a haughty pout on her lips while he undressed, washed, and dried her naked body, she couldn't contain the small cries that left her throat as Sebastian's bare hands slipped over her.
Rachel and Vincent wondered where their daughter had gone as the clean up efforts continued downstairs.
The noble couple remained entirely ignorant that above them, Ciel sat in Sebastian's lap while she selfishly stole another kiss from his lips.
"Lie down, my lady." Sebastian whispered in a husky purr once she pulled back at last, "I should take my leave of your bedchamber quickly, before your parents discover my presence."
"What's the point of hiding now?" Ciel pouted while she shifted herself on Sebastian, "We're engaged and we already……."
Sebastian pressed his lips to Ciel's before she had a chance to continue.
She sighed into his sweet affection while they both delighted in the taste of each other.
Sebastian's musky, addictive scent intoxicated Ciel to the point of dizziness.
Although she didn't quite understand the effects she had on the man she loved.
As their kiss dangerously continued, he purposely moved his hips so his darling wouldn't notice his arousal.
Sebastian would have liked nothing more than to take Ciel into his arms and lie back on the bed with her for another tryst, though by the shuffling sounds which came from downstairs, he feared they lacked the time to fulfill their desires.
In a grim confirmation of Sebastian's correct judgement, footsteps suddenly approached Ciel's door.
A second later, a brief knock fell on the wood as her eyes widened.
Sebastian ended their kiss, slipped out from under her, and raced into her closet in one smooth motion as he left his confused lover on her bed to blink in confusion.
Ciel looked up as Mey-Rin entered the room and gasped, "My lady! I'm sorry I'm very late this-...Oh! You're already dressed for bed!"
Her blue eyes widened as she gasped at Mey-Rin, completely caught off guard.
She never readied herself for the night, what should she say?
"Er……Yes, Yes, just this once. I went to no extra trouble, though. I couldn't find you but I had to lie down early, all of that dreadfully loud music hurt my head." Ciel quickly replied.
"Forgive me, my lady!" Mey-Rin cried desperately, "If…..If I had known you were looking for me……and in pain, I'd-!"
"Don't worry yourself any further about it, that's an order." Ciel snapped with her usual icy frigidness.
Mey-Rin sniffed back her tears as Ciel nodded and replied, "...Go."
"Yes, my lady." Sebastian heard his lover's maid whisper quietly before the door closed.
From the crack in the closet, he watched Ciel roll onto her side and close her eyes in a feigned effort to sleep.
Instead of excusing himself from the room to rush into the hallway before he could be discovered, Sebastian smirked.
He decided he would wait until the rest of the household's members retired to the comfort of their beds.
In the privacy of the night, he would then emerge and join Ciel for another round of their hearts' passionate expression.

After Ciel's debutante ball concluded and their lives resumed, the Phantomhives were overjoyed.
Vincent finally had his difficult daughter engaged to marry a man of reputedly good social standing and enviable wealth.
While he began the work of analyzing the presented documents to prove them legitimate, Rachel busied herself with helping her daughter plan the upcoming wedding.
Ciel let her mother run the majority of the decision-making, she was far too concerned with stealing secret moments with Sebastian than to care about preparations for yet another pompous party.
The flowers, the decorations, the cake, none of that mattered to Ciel, she only wanted to be in the arms of her lover.
Rachel delighted in meeting with bakers, spending entire afternoons discussing possible arrangements with florists, and interviewing one craftsman after another about the potential grand displays that could be created as visual scenery for her daughter's happy affair.
While her mother spent hours painstakingly combing over each detail of the proposed ceremony, Ciel kept to the gardens, the privacy of her own bedroom, and even the spare closets on occasion, wherever she may find a few moments of seclusion with Sebastian.
Ciel had been born a noble and as such, shameless greed remained prominent in her heart, not guilt.
As Sebastian's hands and mouth roved over her, she thought of no one else but herself.
The whimpers he drew from her throat as his hips moved against hers made her want him even more, much in the same way that a selfish child longed to play with an inconvenient, inappropriate toy.
Ciel's love for Sebastian had been subtly recognized, but the desires of her heart could not be slaked.
One sunny afternoon, Rachel and Vincent stood across from the team of staff they had hired to assist with the wedding preparations while they nodded at each person present.
"Good afternoon, everyone." Vincent amiably greeted their guests while Rachel flashed a polite smile, "Thank you all for agreeing to work for our family. It is our expectation that you will each ensure this upcoming occasion is every bit as sophisticated and elegant as Lady Ciel herself. My daughter deserves the finest of earthly pleasures."
————————————————————
Ciel had in fact, already acquired the finest of earthly pleasures.
While Vincent spoke, his daughter was anything but elegant and sophisticated as Sebastian reduced her to a panting, sweating mess upstairs in the shelter of her bedchamber.
"S-Sebastian…….." She panted with her eyes closed.
Both of her legs lay draped over his shoulders as she writhed on the bed naked, with his head between her legs while he devoured her.
"S-Sebastian!" Ciel gasped.
He smirked as her fingers tangled in his raven-black hair while her body spasmed around him.
"SEBASTIAN!" Ciel hissed as bliss consumed her.
Sebastian didn't know what truth was more difficult to bear, knowing that he had brought Ciel to a quivering heap with only a few gentle touches of his tongue or the growing ache in his own trousers as the hairs stood on the back of his neck at her cries.
As she flopped onto the pillows with a sigh, he pulled away and crawled over her.
Ciel only widened her legs when she cracked her sapphire eyes open and found him gazing down at her.
Sebastian chuckled as she reached out and began to unfasten his trousers while their lips met in a heated kiss.

"Understated, demure, and proper, those are all accurate descriptions of my daughter and as such, I expect this wedding to exhibit those same qualities in manner of decoration, refreshment, and overall theme. Is that clear?" Vincent asked the newly hired event staff.
As each person nodded, a warm smile spread across his face while he spoke, "Excellent! Rachel, my darling, I know you've already gone over a majority of the planning……So then, let us start with the most basic details first. Do you have an idea about what may be an appropriate date?"
"A short engagements will bring controversy, my dear." Rachel said with a wise nod, "Not to mention you are still in the process of verifying those documents…….Shall we give it at least seven months from now?"
"Until October?" Vincent asked with a frown.
"Unless you think it should be delayed longer?" Rachel frowned.
"Of course not, my love." Vincent grinned, "Best not to keep a betrothed couple apart forever. I'd say seven months is a proper wait, nearly twice the length of time I had to endure without you."
Rachel blushed slightly as fond memories played through her mind.
"Tell me, all of you, do you believe seven months will be adequate time to make the preparations my wife and I have requested?" Vincent frowned as he asked the event staff.
When his inquiry was met with one agreeing response after another, he couldn't hide the pleased smile that danced across his handsome face.
Earl Phantomhive had held onto a silent fear since Ciel's earliest years of life.
His daughter was beautiful and quick-witted but obstinate, headstrong, disobedient……..
Vincent had been tormented by the worry that no suitor would actually take on the burden of wedding his only child.
