We all ran over through the forest, me on Edward's back and stopped just in front of the sign separating the reservation from the rest of Forks. The pack was already waiting for us on the other side.

"Jacob?" I recognized one of the boys.

"Bella!" He seemed shocked. "What are you doing with them?" He hissed.

"I married him, Jacob," I told him, referring to Edward.

"What? How? You're 16! Does Charlie know?" He rattled off question after question.

"I love him," I tried to stay calm.

"How can you love that…that…leech? They've become predators! Bloodsuckers!"

"She's loved him before then!" Rosalie snaps back.

"What?" Jacob looked at her, and me, like we were completely insane.

"Perhaps I should explain," Carlisle stepped in. Probably for fear that Rosalie's temper would get the best of her.

"Back in 1917, Isabella had somehow traveled back in time from Phoenix to Chicago, where I was working at the hospital and Edward was still human."

He went on to explain our story, how we had worked with him at the hospital and eventually fell in love and got engaged before the flu epidemic hit the country, forcing him to turn Edward to keep him from death.

"And so what we ask is not to turn an unsuspecting human who has no desire or knowledge to be a part of our family, but to reunite these two to allow them to be together the way they had always meant to be. After the events that took place, we ask that you consider Isabella is not your ordinary human."

Carlisle then describes our interaction with the Denalis and the Volturi, mentioning how Kate, Jane, and Aro all had no effect on me.

"That is quite a situation," Sam agreed.

"You can't be serious! You can't actually be considering this!" Paul protested.

"How does just a normal human travel through time, with no repercussions? Or block out a vampire's power? It doesn't make sense, unless it was meant to be this way," I pleaded, trying to get them to see that there was something bigger than us that had pulled us together.

"Jacob, you are the true Alpha, as descendant of Ephraim. If you or Sam say so, if you decide in any way Bella is not human, the treaty will not be broken and we can keep the peace between our two kinds," Carlisle explained politely.

I turned to Jacob. I knew he was young and wouldn't understand, but I just needed to sway him enough that he might slip and give us permission. He was more likely to say yes than Sam.

"Jacob, please. I've known Edward and Carlilse since 1917. Isn't there even a sliver of doubt that I belong there and not here. Even if I was 'human' don't you think that as someone who has been here way before all of you that I shouldn't be held by a treaty that was made after I existed?"

I could see that his resolve was starting to waiver. I just needed one more push. "The universe for some reason brought me to Edward all of those years ago. I should have died back then when the flu hit or from old age, but I didn't. Because Edward didn't. And to keep him from having to live without me, and me without him, it brought me back to now, when he has the control to turn me without risking my life or anyone else's. We're tied by fate, Jacob. So let us do what the universe wants us to," I could feel myself start to shake with emotion, and it took everything in me not to start crying in front of everyone. Wouldn't that be embarrassing.

"Please, Jacob," it came out as a whisper. But as his expression changed to one of resolve, I knew it had worked.

"I…don't think she's human," Jacob sighed. I heard Paul growl, but Sam held his arm out to stop him.

Sam nodded, not questioning his decision. "Very well. As Jacob has decided that Isabella is not 'human' it would not break the treaty if the Cullens…transform her," he declared.

Carlisle nodded in silent thanks. He and the rest of the Cullens turned around and swiftly headed back into the forest, back home, leaving just Edward and I.

"Thank you," Edward told them.

"I didn't do it for you," Jacob narrowed his eyes. I guess that natural hatred would never go away.

"Thank you, Jacob," I hoped he could hear the sincerity in my voice as I said so.

"I hope you know what you're doing." He gave me one last look before he and the other guys phased and ran back over to their reservation.

I let out a sigh of relief that it was all over. Sure, I would have to figure out what to tell Charlie, but I knew this was the right decision for me. It has been for the last 100 years.

"Come on, I want to show you something," Edward pulled on my arm, leading me towards the woods.

I looked at him curiously. What could he possibly want to show me right now? Didn't we already have enough excitement for the day?

He held my hand until we were far enough in the woods that nobody would be able to see us. He crouched down, gesturing for me to climb onto his back, which I did without hesitation. He made sure I was completely secure before taking off into the woods.

I kept my eyes closed, not wanting to get any motion sickness, but I felt the wind hitting my face and in that moment, I had never felt so alive. My mind wandered to how it would feel to be running at this speed myself.

I felt the sudden stillness of my surroundings as Edward came to a stop. I slowly opened my eyes to take in my surroundings, sliding down Edwards back as he kept a hand on my arm to steady me.

"Oh my god," I breathed out, immediately feeling tears in my eyes. "It's our meadow."

"Well, not our exact one," Edward wrapped his arms around me from behind. "But as close as it could get."

"How did you…" I sat down in the grass, taking in all of the flowers that surrounded us.

"I came across it while I was hunting the other day. I don't remember exactly what ours looked like, but this seemed like the kind of place I would be drawn to," Edward says as he lays down beside me.

I propped myself up on my elbow, turning to look at him. The sun came in through the trees behind him in beams, making him look like an angel, his skin glittered in the light, but his smile was even more radiant, his eyes bright with intense love and adoration. It was almost too much.

And in that moment, surrounded in our meadow, I knew.

"Edward," my voice was barely above a whisper. "I'm ready."

He tilted his head in confusion for a moment, before quickly realizing what I had meant.

"Are you sure?" He asked. "Now?"

I nodded. Everything was happening so fast, but it all felt right.

His lips placing a light kiss against my shoulder. "Once I do this, we can't go back."

"I've never been more sure of anything in my life," I told him. I brought his face to mine so I could look at him as I said this next part. "I've been sure since the moment I met you."

"You hated me," he chuckled, repeating a conversation we once had.

"I never hated you," I echoed his words. "I merely found you the most frustrating man to ever exist. I'm as sure of that as I am of this," I smiled at him.

Edward didn't respond. He simply leaned down again. "I love you with everything that I am. Are you ready?" I felt his breath on my skin as he lightly kissed my neck.

"I love you," I told him. "I'm ready."

And then I felt his teeth piercing my skin.

We didn't know exactly what the future held. I didn't know what would happen with Charlie or the Quileute tribe, if we would have to move away or if we could somehow find a way to stay.

But what I did know was that by some divine intervention, the two of us had been pushed together beyond all odds, destined to be together. I knew that he loved me and I loved him and nothing would ever come between us.

And so with that, and I drifted into the start of our small but perfect piece of our forever.

For all of time.

The End
