"What were you thinking about recruiting that psycho?!" The couple was back at their home.

"She's not psycho, she's hurting…" Dick tells Zatanna about Helena and her backstory.

"Woow. I-I-I'm sorry, I didn't know…I-I" Dick hugs her.

"Don't worry…now you know" Zee felt terrible about her.

"Then I'm glad that you are helping her getting on the straight and narrow. I can't think in a better example and role model" She hugs him tighter while he plants kisses on the top of her head.

"I'm glad to hear that, Zee"

"But I need to have a friendly conversation with her…" She looks up at his eyes.

"Zee…" She bites her lip.

"I'll be good"

"I don't know, you are scary when you are…" He smirks at her.

"Don't say it…" She closes her eyes; he is saying it.

"JealouZee" She was about to retort something, but Dick took her lips.

"What are you doing here? Where's that hot piece of ass?" Zee rolls her eyes at the comment and holds her anger. She was approaching the vigilante in her street clothes.

"Can we talk? Woman to woman?" Helena's smirk goes away and change her stance with the magician's tone.

"Sure" Helena was ready for whatever comment the magician was about to make.

"It's about Nightwing"

"Look if he wants to make an upgrade, I won't say no to him" Zee takes a deep breath.

"It's not about that. I trust him, he loves me, and I love him" Helena is surprised, she was expecting an outburst from the Leaguer.

"I won't stab him in the back" Helena gets on the defence again.

"I know" Both women relax.

"How?"

"He trusts you and he's madly good at judging character and he'd disarm you before you even wink" Huntress knew that was right. She remembers how he caught her arrow.

"I need you to stop calling him names and drool all over him" the magician takes a step closer.

"It makes him really uncomfortable. He doesn't like being sexualized or treated like and object. And I'm more than sure that you know how that feels"

"I choose to wear this to lure the brainless"

"I know but his investigation also come up with some cases of men being killed by your M.O and all of them have history of being perverts"

"He did a very good homework"

"It's what he does. But you should think in what I'm saying …don't treat him like you hate being treated or see other women being treated"

"I-I-I don't know what to say. I never see it that way and usually the guys are okay with that"

"I know but not everyone is okay with that. He's my everything and if he's not okay, I'm not okay. He will eventually say something to you about that matter if you keep doing it but he struggles as well with that topic"

"Then how do you handle him?"

"He's, my boyfriend. We have been together for years and I know him even better than myself. I know to read his mood" This is the first time that Helena notices Zatanna's ring.

"Did he propose to you?" Zatanna looks at her ring.

"No. He gave me this Atlantean magical ring when were 16. We promise eternal love and protect each other from everything and anything" Zatanna loves that story and to watch her ring.

"What?! You've been together since you were 16?!" Helena knew that Richard Grayson and Zatanna have been a couple for year but that sounded so surreal.

"Actually, we have been together since we were 14. We were each other first in every way and we have been together ever since"

"How did you? How did he?"

"With patience, love, loyalty, trust, among other things"

"You really care about him. But you are right, I'm sorry…"

"Thanks. He is going to really appreciate that" Zatanna turns her back to return to her home.

"Hey! But that doesn't mean that I'm not throwing my shoot at him!"

"You are wasting your time"

"Great job, Huntress. You are getting good at this no killing thing" Nightwing fist bumps his new partner.

"It takes more time to take them down, but I guess I just need to get used to this…" Helena didn't know how to say what she wants to say.

"What is it, partner? You can tell me anything" She looks surprised at the hero.

"How do you know that I want to say something?"

"I'm a detective and you have been less chatty…whatever it is, you can count on me" He places his hand on her shoulder. Helena takes a deep breath.

"Fine. I want to apologize for…y'know keep making comments on your body. It wasn't right even if I do find you unbelievable attractive" Dick smiles softly at that.

"Thanks, it really means a lot" She smiles back at him.

"What about we go and grab something to celebrate this new partnership? I know a pretty sweet place with an amazing coffee and donuts" Dick has a special place to eat donuts with his fellow officers.

"I'd love to go on a date with you…" Dick rolls his eyes behind his mask.

"It's not a date. I lov-" Huntress interrupts the acrobat.

"I know, I know but you can't blame a girl for trying" They decide to pick up some donuts and coffee and they were eating them on a rooftop across the coffee joint street.

"Nightwing! Nightwing!"

"What is it, Oracle?"

"Are you alright?"

"Yeah, I'm with Huntress and I was about to get back home"

"Stay with her and I'm sending backup. Batman, Robin, Black Canary, and The Hawks were attacked, ambush"

"Are they okay?"

"Heavily injured. The Arrowfam saved Canary; Orphan, Spoiler, Wonder Girl, Blue Beetle, Kid Flash and Forager saved Batman and Robin; Zatanna, Rocket and other leaguers saved the Hawks…"

"Are they hunting heroes related to birds or flying animals?"

"That seems to be the pattern. I'm s-" The comms cut to static.

"Oracle! Oracle!" Huntress gets closer to Nightwing.

"What is it? What's going on?" Nightwing didn't have time to answer as he moves Helena to the side to protect her from a sword attack.

"An attack and I'm their target" Both heroes got into fighting stance.

"That's correct, Nightwing" From the shadows, KGBeast emerged.

"What do you want from me? What are you attacking these heroes?"

"It's a hunting party and it's bird season" The duo barely dodged the assassin's bullets and found cover.

"Huntress. Take down the ninjas on your left and make your way towards the exit. I'll buy you some time and handle KGBEAST" Dick was measuring their chances.

"I'm not leaving you!"

"They are here for me. I can't risk you; they jammed our comms, you can reach a safe distance and call for back up" Once again, Helena was surprised and touched by Nightwing's words. No matter the situation, he was looking out for her.

"I'm not going anywhere…we are partners. And we can take them together" Seeing that there was not point arguing, the blue hero nods.

"Alright. Oracle has my last location so that means back up might be on their way but that doesn't mean that these guys isn't bringing back up as well. We can't take risk and wait to see whose backup comes first…"

"Got it. We just have to kick their asses faster, I like that" Nightwing throws his eskrima stick to the wall in front of him and Helena looks confused at him.

"Wha-"She stops as she hears the grunts from their attackers. Dick just knocks out two ninjas.

"Show off" Huntress and Nightwing make their way trough their enemies. Helena does her best to open a space for the aerial avenger to fight directly against the Russian.

"Why don't you guys just give up?!" Nightwing engages in a hand-to-hand combat against the Russian while Helena takes as many ninjas as possible.

"You are not match for me, hero" After a couple more of strikes, Nightwing takes his enemy down and goes back to help Huntress.

"Need a hand?" The acrobat enters the fight with push kick saving his partner from a rear attack.

"I'm doing just fine"

"But WE can do better" It was easy for Nightwing to fight alongside Huntress, her fighting style and weaponry was like Tigress. This only help Helena to feel like she finally found a place to fit in.

"I won" Helena exclaims taking the last one.

"No, you don't. I won" The Italian turns to face her partner.

"Excuse me?! I took more bad guys than you!"

"But I took their boss…it counts like, at least 5 of these guys" Their banter stops once they hear a helicopter approaching.

"We have more incoming" A chopper with machine guns starts shooting at them.

"They are here to extract KGBeast!" The purple heroine starts shooting at them calling for their attention.

"Wait! Huntress!" Nightwing tackles her to save her from the bullet rain.

"What are you doing?! He's escaping!" The look up to see the Russian on board of the helicopter.

"Your life is more important" As Nightwing tells her that, the assassin decides to make one last shoot. This time, Helena hugs Dick and rotates them to take the hits for him.

"What? Where am I?" Helena tries to move but everything was hurting her.

"Easy. You are in our home…" The sorceress tries to calm her down.

"Where's Nightwing?" The woman was looking everywhere in the room for him.

"He's okay. He's resting, he was awake all night taking care of you, and I just sub in for him" Zatanna helps her to sit up.

"What happened? And where are my clothes?!" Huntress realizes that she was naked except for her bandages on her chest, stomach, and leg. She was wearing just a robe to cover her.

"You jump in front of Nightwing to protect him from the attack and lost a lot of blood. Luckily, this family is expert on this department. He brought you here, he took all your clothes because your suit was drenched in blood and patch you up and I did some magic to help you heal better and faster" Zatanna states as she uses her magic to appear fresh bandages.

"Woow. Can Nightwing do it again? I'm sure he liked what he saw…" Zee just glared at the Italian woman.

"I told you. He's resting. Let me check your wounds and put new gauzes" The magician was inspecting the woman's body and see that her recovery was going great.

"Seems that you are going to get better in no time" With her magic, she changes the gauzes.

"Helena. Thank you for saving him"

"No problem. It's the least that I can do for him after what he did for me…" Zee looks at Helena's eyes.

"Everyone thinks that I'm just some crazy bitch or whatever but even without knowing…he saw someone that I wasn't sure it was still there. He gave me an opportunity to redeem myself and forge a new path"

"That's what he does, and I want to apologize as well for seeing you as psychopath"

"I get it, really. I was hitting on your man and…if I were you in your place, I'd kill whoever dears to hit on my man. Don't let him go"

"I'm not planning on doing that" Helena smirks at the idea of teasing the magician.

"Do you think he would be up for a sponge back? As a reward for saving him?"

"You are healthy enough to bath yourself!" Huntress smiles seeing the change of attitude of the Leaguer.

"I know. I'm going to bath him…it's only fair, he saw me naked"

"What did we discuss about h-"

"I know. I know. I'm sorry, old habits but I've been good. Honest"

"I know that too"

"Did he tell you?"

"No, I feel it"

"How?"

"This ring is magical. We are bind together; I can feel what he feels, and he feels what I feel"

"You two are way to intense"

"You gotta love with everything you have" That last thing left Bertinelli thinking.

"Do you really have to go? I was getting use to have a sidekick" Dick was sad of seeing Helena go. Richard, Zatanna, and Helena were on a private hangar with a private jet waiting for the Huntress.

"In your dreams. I'm not going to be the sidekick of a sidekick" She smiles at the couple

"I'm not a sidekick"

"Who you are kidding? She's a leaguer and clearly, she wears the pants in your relationship" Zee laughs at that.

"See! She wasn't long with us and realized of that too"

"Don't call victory just yet. You, big time. You are so in love with him that turns my stomach" Dick was about to make a comment.

"Don't you dare"

"I'm going to say it anyway. I told you that I was obvious that you drool every time you see me and that you are CraZee for me" Zatanna smacks at her boyfriend.

"You are such a dork!" Zatanna tries to smack him again but Dick ducks.

"What are you going to do, now?" The blue boy asks while Zatanna keeps trying to playfully smack him.

"I'm going to travel. I believe that I have some ties in Italy…doing stuff that I used to do with my family" Helena looks down and takes a deep breath.

"If you need anything…you have our number" The Sorceress smiles softly.

"Will do. Take care of each other and Dick…" Helena boards the plane but stops at the entrance.

"Yeah?"

"Either you marry her, or you get back to the market…" Finally, Helena steps into the Jet. The couples watch as their new friend starts a new journey.

"What about we get back home?" Dick asks his girlfriend.

"And do what?" She smirks at him.

"We can…change clothes into something more comfortable and do a movie marathon"

"Sounds good. What about we pick some snacks on our way back? We can't have movie night without sweets" Dick cups her face and kisses her tenderly.

"Sweeter than your lips? There's no such thing" She snorts at his comment.

"Are we just watching movies, Mr Grayson?" She bites her bottom lip.

"Of course not. I'm turning the AC at its max capacity, so you get cold and have no other option but to snuggle with me and I'll wrap a blanket on us"

"Something else?" He doesn't need to tell her twice. Cuddling and movies are the perfect plan.

"Yeah. My warm and presence is going to relax you so much that we are falling asleep on the couch, and I will hold you for dear life to make sure that you won't fall from the couch" She takes his hand.

"That sounds perfect""
