Chapter 4: Homefront
Within an alley, a little female rabbit is being chased by three men who tackled it and pin her to the ground. "Please we don't have the money yet," the girl said as the big walrus is squeezing her arm.
"Not good enough missy, your old man can't pay us. You are going to use your body to pay his debt," the Walrus said as the rabbit is frightened by this.
"Please someone, help me," the little rabbit pleaded as the men laugh at her.
"No one is here to save you, little missy," the Walrus said as Blaze is standing at the entrance of the alley.
"How about you step away from the girl or I am going to smooth your egos," Blaze said as she summons her sword to frighten the men away.
"Holy shit, it's Queen Blaze. Let's get out of here," the thugs disappear into the darkness for Blaze goes up to the little rabbit to check to see if she is okay.
"Are you hurt?" Blaze asked as she looks over at the girl who is a small white rabbit that greatly reminds her of Cream.
"Oh Queen Blaze, thank you for helping me," the girl goes to hug her.
"No problem, why were those men attacking you?" she asked.
"My father is in deep debt and these weird creatures keep attacking our farm. The crops were destroyed before my father can sell them to the market. I need help with this," the girl said as Blaze nods her head.
"Okay, tell me where your farm is and I will come to aid you," Blaze said as the little girl's eyes widen with delight.
"You would help us?" the girl asked.
"Of course, I am. I and my betrothed will come to your farm and aid in stopping what is destroying your crops," Blaze said as the rabbit girl is jumping for joy.
"Yes, my daddy would be very happy to gain help from the queen herself and the future king. Come over to the farm to the far north of the island. By the way, my name is Bouquet and my father's name is Dai. See you there," Bouquet gives Blaze the location of her farm on her smartphone.
"Thank you, I will see you there," Blaze said as the little rabbit goes away with Blaze wondering about something.
"Strange creatures, I wonder what that means?" she questioned as she heads back to the castle to tell Silver about this.
Tide is in a cavern nearby from the farm to send out her creatures known as the Unbound to kill the crops and the animals. "I need to test this out to see Blaze's light powers in full for my viewing pleasure. I need to check on her progress with her powers," she said as she watches and waits for the queen to come to her planned stage.
Elsewhere Blaze is training with Marine working on her hydrokinesis while Silver is lifting heavy objects with his mind trying to push himself. "So, you two are going to the middle of nowhere," Marine said.
"Come on Marine, those are some hard-working people out there," Silver said to point out as Blaze nods her head.
"Yes, they help feed our empire and keep the people fed with tons of crops and meats of the highest quality. It's run by family farms for thousands of years and doing it in a very clean way," Blaze said.
"Oh yeah, there are pastures there that reach for miles," Marine said.
"I beg that got some delicious milk on stock," Silver said as Blaze licks her lips at the thought of cold yummy milk.
"That would be lovely," Blaze said.
"Well better get your farm girl on because it is going to be vast out there in the north," Marine said.
"A little rough and tumble is no big deal for me," Blaze said as she finishes her training for Blaze and Silver headed back to their room.
"I wonder what these weird creatures are?" Silver wondered as Blaze strips out of her bodysuit to only be in her black sports bra and blue panties forming around her curves which Silver can't keep his eyes off them.
"Yes it is concerning and we need to keep a watch over this. Seems like you are watching something else," Blaze said in a sensual tone as she catches him staring at her half-naked.
"Oh, sorry sweetheart. You look very good," Silver said as he goes up to her to hug her from behind to feel her tight waist.
"Thanks, you will see more of me when we take a little break at Heaven's Peak," Blaze said as it is a luxury hotel at the highest peak of Vermilion Island which is the home of the capital city of Sol.
"That would be pretty nice, Eggman Nega's generators are not going anywhere," Silver said as Blaze nods her head.
"Yeah, my troops will keep me in contact if anything weird happens," Blaze said as she slips on a blue top, brown khaki shorts, and black boots. "This will do, more outdoorsy. Let's head out to the farm," Blaze said as she and Silver take the royal shuttle to fly off into the distance to fly over Cinnabar Island to see fields of crops for miles.
"Gee, this is a nice view," Silver said as all the farmers down below are using their equipment to gather their crops while taking care of their farm animals.
"These farmers do such hard work for the empire. It's the least I can do to aid them in service for the people," Blaze said.
"Gee Blaze, you are so kind to your people. I am lucky to have someone like you," Silver said as Blaze is blushing from his sweet words.
"It's nothing really, just doing what I can," Blaze feels very humble about this as this is one of the traits Silver values the most about her.
"Well, the people are lucky as well to have such a kind and humble ruler like you Blaze," Silver said as Blaze's heart is beating pretty fast and she is having a goofy smile.
"You are too sweet to me Silver," Blaze said as they find the farm they are looking for. The shuttle lands nearby Dai's home. "Wow, never fails to be wonderful," Blaze said seeing seas of wheat and rice in separate sections with them heading for farmland owned by the client Dai.
"It's quite the sight," Silver said as they go down a dirt road with either side filled with wheat reaching above both the couple.
"Lady Blaze and her knight Silver," the young rabbit girl rushes over to them to greet them with a polite bow. "I am so happy for you to be here," she said.
"Likewise, this is my boyfriend Silver," Blaze said.
"Hey there," Silver said.
"Good to meet you. My daddy is waiting for you," Bouquet said as she leads them through the fields to see Dai's barn in the distance to see an older rabbit male in his early 40s waiting on the steps. "Oh, so the queen and her betrothed have come to aid in my request," Dai said.
"No problem sir, we are willing to help out," Silver said.
"Same for me," Blaze said as she bows her head.
"Oh well good to see youngsters still having proper manners these days," Dai said.
"So, you want us to do something with your monster problem?" Blaze said.
"Well, I want to you stick around and watch the fields. If you find these monsters, I want you to track them down and kill them off," Dai said.
"Okay sir, anything you want us to do in the meantime?" Silver asked.
"Well, you can help in doing some chores around the farm. Some of the workers had done most of the work, you can do some tasks," Dai said.
"No problem," Silver said.
"Alright, we will do it," Blaze said.
"Excellent, Bouquet show Lady Blaze the cows," Dai said.
"Okay Lady Blaze, let me show you," Bouquet said as she leads over to the cows.
"Sir, I want you to go over to the crates over there and place them into the transports," Dai said.
"I am on it," Silver said as he goes over to see a bunch of boxes that need to be loaded into the transport. "This will be pretty easy," Silver said as he uses his psychokinesis to lift the boxes into the transports.
Silver noticed in the corner of his eyes a weird shadow sweeps across the grass. Silver looked over to see nothing there.
"What is that, is it just my imagination," Silver wondered as he keeps on working.
Blaze and Bouquet get into the barn to see a bunch of cows eating their meals. "Hey are the cows, be gentle with them," Bouquet said
"Hey there, I'm going to milk you soon if you don't mind," Blaze said as the cow looks at Blaze letting her pet the female. "That a girl," Blaze petted the cow with her ears twitching happily.
She grabs containers to put a chair beside the cow as she sees her udders are ready to go. She puts a container under the udder and begins to press the milk into the container. Blaze begins to stock up the milk with five containers already filled to the brim with milk.
Dai enters the barn to see Blaze milking the cow. "You're working pretty hard," he said.
"Yes, I am getting some major progress," Blaze said finishing her sixth container.
"You are a girl of hard work, my queen," Dai said.
"Thank you, sir," Blaze said.
"She was amazing Father," Bouquet said as the wheat is dancing against the wind outside.
"She is as expected from the Queen of the Sol Empire. You will be able to surpass your parents," Dai said.
"Thank you for your faith in me," Blaze said.
"Lady Blaze, there is a big orb in the sky. Everyone is so scared about it," Bouquet said.
'Yes it is, everyone is talking about it," Blaze said.
"That fat human has put the kingdom on edge," Dai said.
"Yes, I and my team are handling this problem personally," Blaze said.
"I hope this crisis can be taken care of. The Doctor's machines are scattered all over the world, causing trouble for everyone," Dai said.
"Blaze and the others will save us from the bad human," Bouquet said.
"The Queen and her allies are quite capable," Dai said as Blaze hears Silver's shouting.
"What is going on here?" she rushes over to see Silver facing off against a weird humanoid creature that has black skin and empty acid-yellow eyes.
"What is this thing?" Silver feels unnerved by its presence for this creature is called a Grunt goes to attack Silver to knock him into a pile of hay.
"Silver," Blaze lobs a fireball to knock it away but it keeps going to head for Blaze next. She summons her sword to slice it in half. "Oh no, more of them coming. Silver are you okay?" she asked as Silver gripped several Grunts with his psycho powers and send them crashing onto the ground to kill them off.
"Yeah I am okay," Silver said as several Grunts appear to rush at the couple with Silver blasting one apart with Blaze slicing up to pieces. Silver unleashes surges of energy to take down groups of grunts and Blaze swings her blade to release fire crescents to burn away the dark creatures.
"Those are the creatures who were attacking our farm," Bouquet said as she gets behind her father.
"We will handle this, get to your home and keep inside until the coast is cleared," Blaze ordered as she slash off the creature's head for it breaks down into a pool of black ink
"Okay be careful your highness," Dai said.
"Don't get hurt Lady Blaze," Bouquet said as they run away to seek safety for the couple to go on the offensive to take down the Grunts.
"We need to end this quickly so the family doesn't get hurt," Blaze said as she is launching fireballs to seek out different targets to wipe them out. Silver holds the Grunts in place with his mind with Blaze slashes them apart with her sword.
She uses her Fire Claw to take out enemies at a rapid pace in long attack chains. A bird-like creature tackles her to knock her onto the ground. She got back onto her feet swiftly to see the creatures hovering in the air with their crooked wings.
These creatures are called Flyers fire dark beams from their beaks. Blaze is rolling away from the barrage of energy blasts. She is deflecting the dark beams away with her sword as she cast Pearl to let out several light orbs to take down her targets.
Silver picks up chunks of rocks to fling them into the flying monsters to crush them on impact. She grips the other Flyers and crushes them with a surge of psycho energy.
A few Flyers dive bombs towards the queen with her sliding underneath them barely dodging their rush. She flips up into the air to toss fireballs to blast them into hot goo.
They cleared out the Grunts and Flyer to see a large dark beast which has four-legged and looks like a disfigured hornless rhino called the Crusher. "This guy is huge," Silver said as the Crusher roars at them with pure rage and anger surging with dark energy.
"He will go down like the rest," Blaze said as this monster is three times bigger than Dai's Barnhouse. The monster stomps its foot to unleash a wave of dark energy to blow the duo away. The monster unleashes a powerful beam of energy from its mouth to aim for the duo.
"Guardian Field," Blade cast her defensive spell to create a barrier of light to protect herself and Silver. "Silver cover me," she said as she uses her super speed to avoid the incoming dark beams blowing up sections of the wheat fields and leaving behind big craters.
Silver tosses large rocks to slam into the beast to stun it on impact. Blaze is cutting the air to release light crescents to crave into the huge beast making it groan in pain. Blaze is deflecting the dark attacks with her sword to leap into the air to slash into the head doing some heavy damage.
The beast knocks Blaze away as Silver catches her with his powers. He is catching dark orbs and flinging them back at the monster to shake it up a bit. "Throw me back," Blaze said as Silver flings her at high speed with him and tosses large rocks to smash into the wounded head to stun it leaving it vulnerable.
"Holy Spear," Blaze tosses tons of light lances to cut into the body of the huge brute. "Flare Drill," she engulfs herself in flames to turn into a fiery drill to pierce through the head of the big monster and cutting through the torso and popping out on the other side.
The Crusher vanishes into a big pile of goo for they saved the farm. "Alright, good work darling," Blaze said.
"Yeah, pretty smooth pulling that off," Silver said as they went back to the farmhouse to tell the two rabbits that their farm is safe.
"Thank you so much, you two were so cool out there," bouquet said.
"I am impressed, the empire is in good hands," Dai said.
"Well seems like we form your mysterious creatures but we have no clue what they are," Blaze said.
"Indeed, they are pure evil only having malice within their beings. These are not animals but living weapons," Dai said as he noticed how vicious and alien these things are.
"We managed to get rid of them for you," Silver said.
"Thank you so much," Bouquet said.
"We are in your debt your highness," Dai said as he bows his head.
"It's nothing. We are just doing our best to protect the people of this empire. I hope you both have a good harvest," Blaze said as the couple head off to the royal shuttle.
Tide is watching from a distance to be impressed and concerned to see how skilled and graceful Blaze is in combat. "Interesting, how she wields the Sword of Light is concerning but with the hidden dangers of humanity's dark past. I doubt she would last enough to be a threat anyway," Tide said feeling confident about this as she pressed on with her plan to spread chaos across this world.
